Garden birds filmed in my garden, please subscribe.
My garden in which I film and photograph garden birds is located in a rural area next to a large pine forest. That is why forest birds and forest animals also come to the bird feeder. Such as the squirrel and various woodpecker species and the nuthatch.
Typical city birds also dare to visit the bird feeding shelf. In the moment I managed to film and photograph 17 bird species and one mammal, the squirrel.
The expectation is that I should be able to film and photograph more than 45 bird species. I provide a list of the species that I have already been able to film and photograph.
Filmed animal species :
great tit, blue tit, crested tit, coal tit, long-tailed tit, robin, dunnock, magpie, jay, blackbird, nuthatch, carrion crow, finch, great spotted woodpecker, wood pigeon, squirrel

✅The old oak tree in the garden was a haven for birds. From the early morning chirps of sparrows to the evening songs of blackbirds, there was always a symphony of sound. Among the feathered residents, two birds stood out: a pair of large, imposing crows. With their sleek black feathers and intelligent eyes, they were a sight to behold. Every day, they would make their appearance, their raucous caws echoing through the garden. Their visits were always a source of fascination for the young girl who lived in the house.
She would spend hours watching them, marveling at their agility and their ability to balance on the delicate branches of the tree. One day, she noticed something unusual: the birds were not visiting the bird feeder. Instead, they were perched on a nearby fence, their beaks pointed towards the sky. Curious, she went outside to investigate. As she approached, she saw that the birds were staring intently at something in the distance. Following their gaze, she saw a magnificent hawk soaring through the air. The birds seemed to be watching the hawk with a mixture of admiration and respect. It was a beautiful moment, a glimpse into the complex social lives of these fascinating creatures. From that day on, the girl had a newfound appreciation for the birds that visited her garden.❎

So round and cute!
oh please stop using the balls with the net around. Many small biirds like blue tiiits etc get stuck and dies.
I don't use it anymore, and I only used it when the camera is there. So if something is wrong I'm there within 30 seconds.
@@garden-birds I am very happy to hear that, thank you
❤❤❤❤
The larger Woodpigeon is a male, and he probably lost head feathers in a serious fight. If this was recorded between July and August, he would be molting, but you would generally see small quill-like pinfeathers replacing the lost head plumage.
Filmed on 28/10/2024, you can see the date at the bottom of the image. That is almost November, I find it a strange time to moult, just before winter starts? Or should be like you say of a fight? But what is strange is that they both have it in the neck and throat.
@garden-birds Thanks! I'm losing my vision (76 going on 77), and missed the date of recording! Many birds are potential hosts to Poultry Depming Mite (Neocnemidocoptes gallinae); this feeds on the bases of down and contour feathers and causes these to break off at the base. Because the base of the damaged feather remains in the feather follicle, the afflicted bird will not try to regrow new feathers until the summer molt. The Merck Vertinary Manual describes feather loss due to this mite as occurring in spring or summer, but I've seen domestic Ringneck Doves missing patches of contour plumage, or missing all feathers except their flight and tail feathers and some of their scapulars, in mid winter. If this pair of Woodpigeons didn't regrow their missing feathers by winter, this mite is a possible cause. Even within the same species, birds vary greatly in their symptomatic resistance to Depluming Mites; some Budgies and Ringneck Doves, and the large majority of domestic and feral Rock Pigeons. show no symptoms even if they are carrying this parasite. Another unlikely cause is ringworm; most birds are to varying degrees susceptible to this fungal affliction. However, this usually progresses to severe feather loss.
Robins are so cute. I see them around our property; however, they do not visit our birdcam feeders.
That is strange because for me this is the tamest bird that visits the bird feeder in the garden, they come and eat from my hand as you can see on my UA-cam introduction video on my channel. I also had this problem in the beginning that I knew that there were several bird species in the garden, but that did not come in front of the camera. Had this with the wood pigeons, finches and crows. The solution for me was very simple, just tested other types of food and was immediately successful.
When you said that the robins don't come to the feeder camera, I watched your videos carefully to see that I didn't see the problem, and I think I did see the problem. The food you use looks like chicken feed, and I know chicken feed well. My grandmother used to have a bird feeder shop. And I know that chicken feed is usually harder and larger. As you can see in some videos on my UA-cam channel, the seed I use is much smaller and finer than the bird food you use. A robin has a fine, small, sensitive beak. In our country in Belgium, you can find shelves with garden bird food in garden centres and you will see that it is much finer and smaller than chicken feed or pigeon feed. You can try it out by buying a small bag of seed mix for garden birds.

I love Peggy❤
Hi there! I just checked out your channel, and your videos are really cool! However, it looks like they’re not getting enough views, which could be due to unoptimized SEO. Let me know if you’d like a free channel report that shows how to fix this and boost your reach!
😅it does look weird ,i had a bird get a fright from a rat it lost its head feathers was a bit of a badly for a while 😔.
Maybe the food I give is too strong, because I remember my dad giving his pigeons different food when they had to moult. I'll look it up on the internet later.
@garden-birds interesting idea , not sure about it hay ,, perhaps I'll read a bit too.🤔my budgies normally fix each others feathers when they looking a bit crazy ,,never seen pidgeons do it so much.
@@drea7295 But I remember when my father had 200 racing pigeons that pigeons moulted every year.
@@garden-birds that pidgeon I'm looking after certainly moults alot, I could make a duvet cover and pillows 😅Just never saw such a big patch of new feathers in one area ,I don't think it's a problem necessarily.Maybe you have change of season over there .Still something interesting to read about .
Love the "kuifie" hair on the one ,thank you.
Thank you for the message.
I love watching the birds. Thank you, it’s very relaxing.
Thanks. 🙂😉

Cool editing looks like ghosts almost .
I kept the video editing very simple, using a free online program called Shotcut.
@garden-birds oh cool maybe I'll try it , I'm low on space 🚀🌌 currently ,some apps need so much space.Maybe I'll try paint some of your birds your videos are super quality .I did one bird of paradise , we have a plant here called that ,I put it in the pic ,perhaps I'll up load it too on community.🤔your last video title makes me think of that .
@@drea7295 I just watched a video on UA-cam about free online Shotcut video editing program and now I can use it, so it's a very simple program. Type in the UA-cam search bar the following sentence that I put between the brackets, and it's the second video after a sponsored video. Its snowing too,,,,super footage.thanks .🎉
😳🕵️♀️I see,,😊I saw the creseted tit too very cute .Ill have to read about them see What we have here .
Who is the little one in the background? If you know , or have time to share ,Grey /Black stripe down its chest..cool other one at the end .
I think you mean the great tit that is in the bushes? In that video you see 5 birds: Robin, Great spotted woodpecker male/female, Great tit, jay.
@garden-birds oh thank you , I'll check it out .Yes .There were about 5 birds one just peaking in the video.hope you have a lovely day
@@drea7295 I made a print screen of one of those 5 birds in that video and put it in my community.
@garden-birds oh cool ,I'll go see, good idea
I watched the video again, and I think I was still asleep last time. A great tit is normally very yellow on its belly with a black stripe. But in the bushes there is also one with a black stripe on its belly but no yellow color on its belly, and that is because it is a young one that has just left the nest. They only get the bright color a few weeks later. Then you also see a blue tit that is chased away by the woodpecker with its wing, and that blue tit does not have a blue color yet because it is also a young one that has just left the nest. You can recognize blue tits by the mask around their eyes.
Incredible.❤.thank you .
❤ peggy the wood pidgeon.cute story. They are very cute.I haven't seen any of our native pigeons here .maybe they are delivering post📬
Went to the cemetery on Friday, there were at least 30 wood pigeons flying in the air. We seem to have enough of this kind, they are not city pigeons. But you will know that. My dad used to have 200 racing pigeons.
@@garden-birds That's pretty cool , I suppose the cemetery is probably quite quite.Ive had a bit of fascination with homing pidgeons , overall pidgeons are pretty interesting .

@@garden-birds 🤭
Why is this entitled "invasive bird?" If it's a native species, there has to be certain criteria met before "invasive" status is assigned.
Talk about the rubber chicken, just kidding.
@@garden-birds OK cool
@@EyeSeeThruYou It's not easy every day after 267 videos to find a good title and thumbnail that stands out, but if you look under the video at the info description, there is my text about the bird in the video. Sometimes my thumbnail has nothing to do with the bird in the video.
So cute and round :) thanks for sharing
Sweet video , such s delicate little bird .thank you
Yes I think so too, this bird seems to me to be very well behaved and sweet and patient. Does not impose itself and waits until other birds have finished eating.
This one looks & acts like a thrush we dont have black ones , they are one of my favorite birds ,love their characters, the black one is very beautiful.
Normally we have thrushes here too, but I have never seen them in my garden. The blackbird is called in Flemish (de merel). They also look a lot like a starling, we have those here too. Starlings are not so popular here because they are sometimes in groups with so many and can sometimes be aggressive. But I have never had any trouble with them. They are nevertheless beautiful birds with a shiny plumage. Watch UA-cam.
@@garden-birds interesting thanks for sharing, I'm must look up thrushes by you, perhaps you will get one at the feeder.
@@drea7295 Crossbill do you know that bird species? They are also here with me. I live next to a pine forest that is why I get so many species visiting. Field birds and forest birds. I used to have a tame crossbill that came to eat with us.
@@garden-birds no , I've never heard of it not that I know of , I'll look in Google quick,so cool to have birds come visit like that .

That is a gorgeous bird!
Thanks. 😁😉
Oh is that what they are .they are very beautiful, I was gonna ask you actually .
I did use Photoshop to brighten the color a bit. Because the UA-cam gurus say on UA-cam, to get a lot of visitors your thumbnail should stand out with bright colors or even fluo color.
Don't you have the blue tit in South Africa? In Flemish this little bird is called: Pimpelmees
