360 swapped Valiant
Переглядів 54713 років тому
My... 3rd car I ever owned. Originally a 318/904 car before I swapped it over to a fresh worked 360/727. Car had summit racing headers with dual 2 1/4'' exhaust and 40 series flowmasters. Sold it just like it is the video, with a set of centerlines, for $1000 a couple years ago to a guy in Salem, OR. Would love to see this car again.

My $400 stock 2wd 82 Toyota Pickup fighting through 1ft of snow. Original everything. 22R with over 260,000 miles on the clock. Chained up with 650lbs in the bed. Never got stuck once.
Not a bad clip, utilizing just about everything in the toolkit, only thing i wouldve changed is on the last wave i wouldve kept the the elite perma feared untill the others were dead, hell even nuked the healer aswell in hopes the heal doesnt have to go off, but wp and entertaining watch!
That’s the wow I remember. Heck felt you just solo’ed a raid boss. Kudos!
Oh boi it's fun to 2wd in snow tbh lol always on edge
Used my 82 to plow my driveway in the snow unhook the tailgate chains and let it hang down my truck was dropped 3 inches or more with 225/65/15s so it left like 1 inch under the lip then proceeded backwards worked great
It definitely goes where most 4 wheel drives can't.
Small truck, posi trac, chains, and a ton of weight over the rear axle. About as optimal as it will get for a 2wd truck in snow. 👍
My first car was an old 81 rabbit diesel 4spd put chains on it that thing was unstoppable cost me 400$ and got 40mpg
Así está la mía.

Videos like this make me want to be in there when the video was taken. He seems so happy and fun to hangout with and that dog is having a good ole time.
These little trucks last forever
Get that dumb dog out of the way!
Wow! those yellow incandescents. 😲
Not bad!🤔
Still did better than a jeep.
Lol yeah right
I am disappointed in your dog. He just stood there when you were stuck. Didn't even bother to get behind and push! Reminds me of my father-in-law.
Does a 2wd Toyota from this era have a limited slip differential?
greylajoie23 nope
yup been there before lol
" Gorgeous place man", were is that forest at ? I think the little dog is having more fun than you and wants to try! Put a small lift on that yota and a re geared axle with a locker or LSD with some 235 85 16" and that bitch will go even better! Keep the suspension soft and don't add weight up front!
That was in SW Washington. Sold the truck a couple years ago though. Those old 2WDs used to be pretty cheap to buy.
I was going to be really impressed untill I saw the chains...lol, still pretty good though. But my experience with chains is they will make a 2wd truck perform about the same as a 4x4 in snow with no chains, but then put chains on a 4x4 and its game over...lol
Not many 4WDs you can buy running and driving for $400. That was what impressed me about it more than it's off road abilities. I've heard guys tell me stories of chained up 2WDs (before 4x4s were so common) running circles around 4x4s in the snow and ice. Chains just keep digging until they find traction; lots of 4WDs with open diffs pretty much turn into 2wds anyway, once the tires start spinnin' . But I agree, a good, chained up 4x4 would be unstoppable. 2WD pickups with chains was the old school way to get around if you lived and worked in those conditions.
My thoughts exactly
How are you guys going through the snow like that?? Serious question because I have the same pickup and I got stuck at a stop light where the ground was flat, and I flipped it upside down while climbing a hill. It's a 94 and it is fuckin horrible on any kind of snow, and personal comments and experiences will help a lot, thanks.
tire chains..and 650lbs of weight in the bed over the rear tires..and common sense .. or practice/experience wheeling with only a 2wd pickup !
Thats great! I love that old yota. Check out our snow wheeling toyota's on my channel and barese420's channel.
hes right but you can counter that if you concreat blocks and put then up by the cab so its even but this will make up hill suck
hahaha your just like yeeee snow wheelin
I would invest in a 4x4
LOVE THIS VIDEO!
You think one of these would do well in Valdez Alaska?
nice truck! i hava a 81 toyota with the 22r but i have 3500 bucks in the motor it runs like a champ!
I think it did pretty good considering it's 2wd, but it looked like they switched it to 4wd at the struggling part
ok thanks for the advice :)
Your Dad is right for sure. Anytime you're hauling a lot in a pick up you can feel the steering and front end get a little loose and floaty; at least in small trucks. Up there in the woods on pack snow it didn't matter much for us. We were going slow enough and parked cars/traffic weren't an issue. I'd do whatever feels the safest.
nice vid. i only put 300lbs of sandbags in the back of my '99 dakota 2wd cuz my old man says that too much can make the front end lose its grip on slippery roads. looks like ur doing fine with 650lbs though. i live in upstate NY near the tughill plateu and our winters are no joke. so what would u recommend? should i try more weight?
you sir, are someone i respect.
Lol, ppl saying u cheated using chains! WAKE UP WORLD!CHAINS WORK IN SNOW AND MUD!
PSSSH, THAT is NOT Struggling.... ESPECIALLY for a 2wd in Pack snow....
looks like a awesome place for snow dunning, where is this at?
awsome I have a 81 long bed. cant stop em with chains on.
yeahh ima do the same .. use my quad in the back for weight just around 585lbs! and can u run chains fairly easy ? im new to the truck world haha my first truck i bought yesterdayy for carting my quad and montessa around ! cheers love the vid man
hes not strugglin hes doin great for a little 2wd
what did you put in the back of it?
Does the truck have power steering?
@360sedan lol yea mom pom loves snow as well! lol great dogs. i also have a toyota pickup a 86 ext can 4x4.
@BLACKLACDTS Part Pomeranian, part snow creature.
@enjoi389 Hence the description : P
sweet!!! is that a pomerainan?
@jimP71 Haha, thanks. All the lifted 4x4s and snowmobiles up there were looking at us like, "What the.... are those guys crazy?" People were doing double takes and watching to see if we got stuck. She never did though.
