Regarding Rene Descartes, unfortunately it seems that most people stop at "I think, therefore I am," and end up mockingly dismissing him without reading the rest of his "Meditation" in which he recovers trust in all of reality, including and most importantly, the reality of God. He was, as you know, a Catholic trying to offer reasons for belief in God, but as is sadly often the case, he ran into opposition for presenting ideas in ways previously unheard. He was also a mathematician whose contributions include The Cartesian Graph, which we sometimes just call "the x/y axis." Keep up the good work. God bless. Fr. Anthony Hannon.

I agree our faith is being watered down Holy days are replaced by secular holidays. Catholic schools are teaching the world religion, parents especially fathers need to step up and protect their childrens bodies and souls.

We are so ill-equipped to defend our faith. Our non-Catholic Christians, on the other, are so systematically attacking us. Can we do something about it? Reading the scriptures sporadically does not help. We need to be systematically guided.
