What a load of bullocks…the fish don’t know that someone has arrived or left ?? If I was catching off a spot you would be recasting to that spot! You wouldn’t catch a fish then bugger off somehwere else

First started watching Adam Penning on Hope lake at Grendon after Tyson. Was fishing the lake behind you at the time of filming. Just love your laid back nature and enjoyment you get when fishing. None of the boasting etc you get from other big channels/anglers.

Hi Adam, great film, and lovely to see you fishing a lake and complex that I've spent a fair bit of time on. I checked my records, and I had Tilly before she was named on the 3rd August 2014 at 29lbs, the biggest of a 5 fish haul, 4 of which were over 20lbs. You could tell then she liked her food, and it was obvious that she would grow on to bigger and better things. I believe she originally came from Mallard, and is the same strain as the big commons stocked into that lake when Bluebell took it over from ARC. Anyway, superb angling, and really love your mindset and approach.

Another alternative would be to first locate the Carp, pick ya spots & then put In at least half Kg of particles spread out over each chosen spot ! Within a day or two your spots will be clean of any weed on the lake bed & you will have a near perfectly clean bottom to place your chosen rig on . This method works a treat. The only downside to this is that other angler’s could rock up & fish your clean chosen spots 👍🏼

I know I'm a little late with my post, but I live in US and was wondering if your summer tactics would also work on small ponds where the carp have never seen a boillie before? The pond also gets loaded with weed by the middle of the summer. Thanks Joe

Interesting and informative as always, been following Adam on youtube and sharing his knowledge has helped my fishing no end. I purchased one of the Thermacell Backpacker bug protection units to keep mozzies away but noticed that on the instructions it is very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects and thought it worth pointing out if using it close to lakes etc.

Isn't a heli setup that drops the lead losing the main safety point of a heli setup? In the event of a brake/cut off, the lead is the anchor so the hooklink can slide up the leader so the fish only trails the hooklink, so what happens without the lead?

Started watching Adam last year and I’ve been bingeing on his videos ever since. For me he’s the best out there. Strips it all down and it all makes sense, what an angler and seems like a great guy.
