Those guys are really good
A couple of pieces you can point to when asked ....what is jazz. This......Stolen Moments....and let's here some other examples.
Phil mccracken yeah boy
Does anyone have a chart for this piece please?
😃🌱🌼💚
Fantastic!
Quite the philosopher.
What a wonderful video of a wonderful artist. We are very lucky to have two of Philip's artworks. What a lovely man.
Love this. Is there a version without commentary and just the music? If so how can I find it?
quite digging this sound.
Hahaha the awkward drum off killed it
swingin' hard and straight ahead baby.
I had lots of browser tabs open when I ran across this. Took me a while to figure out that the annoying voices where coming from this video too. aaarg! Skip MP w/ the commentary unless you just want to hear his self-deprecating remarks, and you enjoy DVD voiceover commentaries, etc. (Some dvd commentaries are good, but most a bad because the people are doing them for money/contract reasons, not because the they have lots to say.)
My goodness me - 6 years since I first like this and still as fresh and vibrant as ever!
Great group, great soloists, everyone is swingin'. Love the drummer's playing and that ride cymbal. What make and model is it? Would love to get a response on the ride cymbal if possible. Thanks and keep swingin'.
That pattern is not really that swinging, especially for a Blakey tribute. Good sounding cymbal though, I'll give him that lol. It's funny because he swings on the rest of the kit, weird.
I adore this. Not enough listening. Thanks Michael. I would Bass Clef with you anytime, If I didn't have a full time job, Id be there already..
Damn Mr,. Mike, Frets. I love it.
I dig this friend.
This was amazing ! This was exact the way I remember my dad (Charles Fambrough)play this growing up.
All those guys played with heart!!! If I close my eyes I can feel Art and his messengers spirit there. Delightful
Oh jeez, what a beautiful sound!! So much talent
amazing!
Amazing work, boys!!
Mesmerizing!
hey that my old school!!
Nice to see you playing with Lee Oskar!
Always a great time with Michael Powers!!
Great...and do you have this with no talking?
Greetings, what happened to all the tracks at the Morre Theater before the commentary? This was added recently and has replaced the original videos without the commentary... Why? Can we just listen to the songs? Are they located somewhere else?

Yeah i'm wondering the same. I had this one favorited a long time ago, checking it from time to time. And now there are commentaries all over it :) How the hell can they even replace videos by other videos ? Anyway. If someone has the original, i'd be glad. Thanks

Thanks Allen for your creativity and your work!

Love his work
Mike I remember the nights @ posidios on 6th ave in Tacoma, Lost my cassette of first time out, and would like to know where I can get the cd. I'm talking 1987 those days in that small club when you all worked hard to entertain.
The good old days at Prosito's!!
New Orleans land of dreams... Charles Fambrough lives ! I'm from Brasil and I 've loved the sound of his bass!
Thanks for writing Dolores, I'm a fan of your husband, great composer and bass player, he's very inspiring, may his Soul rest in Peace.
FACK DAVE!
Tom is killing it, like always, and same with you Dave! I love your guys' style and sound. Two favorite brass players for sure
Gostei dessa versão ! Sou fã de Charles Fambrough.

Michael Powers' show at the Moore was truely one of the best concerts I've seen in years. Contemporary & original jazz blended with gritty blues had everyone on their feet. Great work with the band, it was obvious they like Michael and enjoyed the gig as much as the audience. Michael is one of Seattle's gifted original musicians. Kate in Seattle
The show at the Moore theater was one of the best I've seen in years. high energy original tunes has everyone on their feet throughout. Michaels gritty tribute style of blues is 100% original yet has a spirit of Stevie Ray & Jimi woven into the tunes. The contemporary jazz can't be beat. Michael is a great original Seattle artist. Kate in Seattle
Michael Powers & his band were fantastic at the Moore during this concert. Original contemporary jazz riffs and gritty tribute blues had everyone on the edge of their seats from beginning to end. a great time. I always enjoy Michael's gifted original style. --Kate in Seattle

This concert at the Moore was electric & eclectic. A fabulous show of his contemporary & gritty tribute styles of jazz, rock and blues. Amazing gift, Michael. I always enjoy your original tunes best! Kate in Seattle
This is so great on so many different levels it's hard to figure out where to start complimenting this performance..... so I won't right now. Just want to say it's technologically, musically and spiritually sophisticated and was a pleasure to watch. Thanks.
This is great, really nice playing all round!
HEY!!! ... HEY!!! ... HEY!!!
