I didnt know you had twitch, i dropped you a follow ❤ (this is Jourdain btw)
Thank you! And of course I know who this is 😆😝👊🏿
Geauga Lake was my favorite place to be in the 70’s and 80’s. Six Flags was the beginning of its destruction. It became miserable to go there. It was no longer Geauga Lake. The park just became horrible and nasty. On different occasions, our son was younger then, and we had other park guest (while cuing in lines) trying to steal our stroller and then another time our son’s wagon. Our son has juvenile diabetes, and I would have hurriedly push back through the cuing line to stop them as they were walking away with our stuff. My son’s diabetes supplies was in the items they were stealing. I had to run after them. The park used to be such a nice family oriented park. Those things never used to happen when it was just local regional guest. I had hopes when Cedar Fair purchased it. They had been pretty good at operating Cedar Point. I was disappointed. It felt like they only purchased it to shut it down, to not compete with Cedar Point, because while they had it they didn’t improve it or try to make it a nice family park, again. They just removed some names and some rides, but the operations of the park stayed the same. What a shame! Lots of memories of what once was!
I hope every single Sea World meets this fate. We should NOT have had Sea World ever!
Many memories from Sea world and Geauga lake. The animal shows were always great but the one thing I hated seeing was how and where the animals were kept. To me it was sad seeing the beautiful killer whales kept in those small pools.
My family's favorite place to be on the fourth of July.
The good old days
I remember going there when I was little. Petting the dolphins and fishing in the trout pond. LOL , cost my pops a lot for 5 fish. He wasn’t happy. I think it was around 1975 or so when I was there.
Double loop. Raging Wolf Bobs. The Rotor. I-max 180 dome screen. I miss this park so much. Plus a water park and a Sea World across the lake. Lots of childhood memories 🤘
I can't believe it .I didn't even know it was closed.i grew up in the seventies been here many times I grew up I took my daughter here wow I can't believe it. Thanks for showing although it bought me tears but also memories I will never forget.
🎵 Come to Geauga Lake. Oh what a place take your family, or sweetie to meet Geauga DOG! $9.95 still the all-day price for all that is seeet and nice. You gotta make Geauga Lake this year! 🎵
Went there as a child with the family early 70s
Nothing better than being a kid in elementary school in the early 90’s, on summer break, going to Geauga Lake during the day and walking across that boardwalk to see the Sea World laser light show at night….then playing Sega and Super Nintendo the next day with my brother and sister. Those days were pure gold…..
5 10 years from now it will be a ghetto it's coming
Started going to Sea World and Geauga Lake back in the early 80's. As a child, Sea World was more fun because I was too short for most Geauga rides. Once big enough, Geauga took over. And the combination of both later was too late but enjoyable and very tiring, lol. One of my most vivid memories from Sea World was in 84-85. My mother, her best friend and I went to Sea World, and at some point we went to the pearl diving spot. My mom's friend paid to get an oyster and the pearl that would be found inside. Her diver came up with two oysters and my mom's friend asked me to pick one. The one I picked ended up having a pink pearl and a pretty good size. Enough that Sea World actually offered her to buy it on the spot. She turned them down and kept it. Sadly we'd lose her in 1987 after her fight with cancer. Don't know what happened to that pearl, but the memory of that day will live forever with me.
YLTSI!!!!
Still hate Cedar Fair to this day for closing this place down. Corporate greed is destroying everything good in this country.
Seeing the fountain absolutely ripped my heart out. My childhood is so full of memories here.
Last time I was at Sea World was 1990
What kind of drone are you filming with
I am using the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone. I love it for its smooth operation and camera quality!

I grew up across the street from there. Worked there in high school. So sad how that and Geauga Lake disappeared :(
I grew up in Chagrin Falls, I would oftentimes bike there and have to go up the big curvy hill on Geauga Lake Road. I miss it so very much
Kanye should see this
Blessings 🙏🏿 I really hope he does one day
Beautiful Performance!
Thank you, I really appreciate you for taking the time to watch this video 🙏🏿
I too was a Geauga Lake Kid, but when they bought Sea World, I did spend some time over there. Mostly just going to Mission Bermuda Triangle and Pirates 4D. This makes me really sad to see it in this state. Thanks for making this video and showing us.
@VonSnootingham, you are very welcome! I loved the Bermuda Triangle ride, I was always so amazed by the movement. The Pirates 4D scared me at first because of that Bee Scene if you remember. I got over it in the later years :)
Best video on the park!!! You're from the area? I was always curious about the red house on the property it's still standing today. You know anything about it?
Thank you @michaelpietrzak7164! I am from the area, I grew up in Chagrin Falls and spent many summer days at the park. Unfortunately last I heard was that the red house by the Raging Wolf Bobs has been taken down.
show the before and after or is this just a joke to you?
super interesting video, thanks for this more people need to be using drones lol
Nice! That turned out great!
Thank you!
when six flags invested a ga-zillion dollars in it over one winter / off-season, its fate was sealed. with that investment came unrealistic expectations.
So true! I remember that first year when they added 4 brand new coasters, expectations were sky high for the next year. For a bit, I thought we'd get our first hypercoaster (over 200+ feet). But then slowly the people started to not return because the guest experience was pretty low... long lines everywhere, dirty paths, not enough employees to operate, and worst of all, very little local infrastructure to handle the masses of people who would come to visit. It all added up for sure
I was there years ago, I got baby pictures of myself watching shamoo
Sorry they took ur fun area away at least u still got ur Memories bet it was a blast to be there i never got to see it thanx for the video
Thanks for watching Chris, much appreciated! Geauga Lake will live forever in my memories, it was truly a special place.
Thank You for posting, CFOs’, CEO’s, Corporate Property Management Groups, Acquisitions, Mergers etc.most of these people don’t give a shit about sentimental values and History….Big Green is the Altar and the End Game. That you for keeping Sea World/ Geagua Lake Alive in our Hearts…👍

Thanks my brother!!! Miss ya too man, it's been way too long! I will be back in the D soon, looking forward to having those waffles!
🙏🏾💜
at 6:10 I remember getting into a fight with a kid in that whirlpool the last day it was open lol
A fight? Please, do tell me more?
Yes
The bridge was there it lead you to geagua lake
@@margaretbilkey6205 I really do miss that bridge, it was kinda long but the views and the anticipation of making it to the wildlife (or wild rides) side made it so memorable!
Yes
Appreciate the upload however super depressing. Miss that place so bad.
I just had another thought, perhaps the community coul be allowed in to place goldfish which eat mosquito larvae🤷🏻♀️ seems like such a waste. I would definitely be sneaking in there as a kid- teen, or even the old person i have become! thx
Wow! I would think The stagnant canals would bring so many mosquitoes. Perhaps bring this as a concern to your local council. If a young rebel kid jumps the fence (would be me as a kid) and drowns then somebody has to sue somebody, with loss of life. Or do this video, add music, infiltrate old photos you can gather from the community. You could do a lot with this, young sir!!!❤
Nothing more than suing due to bad parenting lol
Thank you for the suggestions Catsy, much appreciated!
Miss this place rode the rides with my mom best memories
