i have a question, how do i bypass the newer bios firmwares? i can't run linux on my lenovo 100e chromebook gen 4 since it was a newer bios frimware with updated security which doesn't let me boot into unknown images. i can only boot recovery images. Someone please help me

Hello red, i wanted to say that when i download the latest version of the sim for dedede moboboard and when it done and i do the esc+refresh+powerbutton then do ctrl+d and then enter and then insert the usb and following all of the instruction, still i dont want to boot in to the linux debain it just a black screen and one time it worked then it did not want to load to linux again it just stuck on black screen, i can use the chromebook as normal but not load in to linux, and plus installed the lastest verison of shim which is 1,2,1 i guess thats the latest version. Please respond of this situation and try to fix it, (extrea iam using the samsing 60 GB usb when i tried with the ramdisk 32 gb usb it worked*)

Looks like this might be patched on at least my device. Developer mode is completely blocked, by that I mean escape + refresh + power after enabling developer mode does not put it on the original recovery screen, and instead the menu to turn on OS verification. Shimboot will not boot unless on that screen meaning you'd need to be unenrolled prior to using shimboot. Very hard in newer ChromeOS versions, and probably impossible for anyone that didn't have sh1mmer before it got taken down, as all other methods seem to require it.

You can do a sleep function using sudo nano /etc/login.conf then uncomment all the HandleLidSwitches and set them to lock

im having a bit of a problem, everything works perfectly running off of the usb, but when i try to do it just with the sd card, it gives me an error about needing to add a line to the kernel, just wondering if this is a common issue
