While Silas’s feelings of rejection by their friends is definitely relatable and understandable, I did notice something too. Parker was also playing the piano that night. Silas didn’t want to engage or watch their performance, so could that be seen in Parker’s eyes as Silas not caring? Just a thought, hope I don’t sound ignorant as that’s not my intent. I just see a lot of comments about feeling shut down when you try to open up about your interest, but I just thought it’d be interesting to comment about another perspective too.

Oh this hit the style of those old animations on the head so hard, I love it. And all the little subtle signs, like the crown being crooked, them both chaning shape to show how they are seeing the world through the same lense etc. Such a charming piece!

There should be a word for this feeling… they’ve captured it so perfectly here! Constantly with friends who mean no ill but you still feel alone and left out. Plus the topic for their discussion and the others disinterest hit me hard as well. I read a lot of philosophy and love discussing issues and ideas but that doesn’t interest anyone so I’m usually cut off… sometimes disappearing into a shell seems like the perfect thing but then you remember that you’ve established yourself as an extravert and if you take some time off, people start questioning. Sorry if this makes no sense

I needed this. Rejection sensitivity is something Im getting better at handling, but its still hard sometimes. watching this makes the challenge become a little easier and shows perspective a little better

silas kinda frustrated me. his friends gave a shit and were listening but sometimes having food as well but on a whole they were hearing him out and interested in what he was saying, but… if a friend had come their to play piano then of course that’s gonna halt the conversation because that person is having THEIR time in the spotlight, silas was talking and they were listening but once it’s gig time it’s time to listen to the person play! i understand silas’s pov but it seemed a little selfish to just blame the friends, i feel that he should’ve just said how he felt

This hits close to home, feels like whenever I try to infodump about my hyperfixations/special interests but no one ever wants to listen 🥲

So basically his life after the meteor is a lie? Like bro thinks his “friends” just randomly went up to him in complete worry, I’m not really sure what this shirt is trying to say with the meteor thing but if I had to guess is, life doesn’t go the way you wanted, people in the world have problems which leads to them not caring for others, so you have to pretend like it’s nothing and sometimes people DO care about you or… that it’s not realistic what the blue dude wanted so you have to hope that magic can save your problems, which will never happen. Either this is a way of telling you reality, or just a way of giving you hope that people do care about you but not at an extent that you wish from a good friend but that it can still happen and it’s better than nothing.
