@go.flare.global Moustache 13 vs Line 13 - Raw soaring session
Переглядів 2 тис.7 місяців тому
Had the opportunity to compare the Flare Moustache 13 and the Flare line 13 during a soaring session at a hill just outside of Cape Town. The difference is very noticeable for soaring and the line doesn’t even compare to the moustache, however the dive and speed of the line is crazy. When you put your hands all the way up it pretty much feels like you are falling out the sky. What are your thou...

Getting lost in the clouds on Table Mountain, Cape Town
If you live near a soaring spot it's an amazing wing. I would like to fly one. But: ua-cam.com/video/ACjVzACSgw0/v-deo.htmlsi=2j4Vt-N52h26ijdR
Going there with my wife in December to chill, and maybe surf a little. But damn, it looks rather strong. I am a (advanced) beginner and surfed maybe 30h in total in Portugal, but am still on the 7,4" soft top. Can do basic turns. Do you think I would be comfortable there on Chickens?
@@vyrvygora it depends on the day but when it’s smaller, chickens is amazing for beginners. As soon as it gets over head it starts to become more challenging and the difficult increases significantly
Im looking at a M15 as a complement to my PG and M22 but the Line 15 could be an option, how does they compare on a coastal hang?
@@Parakitedude I haven’t flown the 15’s but the range of the moustache is next level compared to the line. What I’ve learnt is that the moustaches are soaring machines and whilst the lines can soar, they are ultimately proximity wings
抜けた?まるでケリー
Wish I could do this on my PPG too scared 😂 nice flying
@@kylerobinson4890 thanks man!
Какой чёткий вид!! I'm getting dizzy just from looking 😂
@@igorastral4816 😂
Hi, Nice video ! Thank you for sharing . Do you have the coordinates of the hill ? I am going to CT end december and looking for spots in the neighbourhood to fly my moustache .. Thank you very much ! Grtz Laurent
Sick
the Line is build for speedflying
Thoughts on how they compare in soaring? Given same wing size for Mo13 and Line13?
Honestly no comparison in my opinion. The moustache has such crazy range and speed when soaring. The line13 is definitely faster and more efficient than say a mirage 13 but the line is definitely designed with Speedflying in mind and not so much soaring like the moustache.
@@Flysurfrunrepeat fairly similar in terms of its stability? I’ve heard it’s quite a bit twitchier than the Mo.. I’d assume more agile in the roll axis also
@@taihukasmith352 line is definitely twitchier and more responsive
I fly both, Mo and Line, and I absolutely love both of em ;D
Pretty hard to pick one 😅
I don't fly anything yet....really into beach soaring and proximity like you're flying. I like the mustache I wonder if I could teach myself to fly at the beach. Might be my next challenge
@@onewheelisbetterthan2 If you want to get hurt really bad, yes that is the way to go. Point 1 - seek professional training. There's no reason to go pioneering yourself on the very basics, if there's people around that already know about most mistakes. Point 2 - neither Moustache, nor Line are meant to be first wings. And very rightfully so.
@@fabian_mit_mDon't know how it works in your region, but in Germany Flare won't even sell you a Moustache unless you can proof that you're an experienced pilot. Unkommon practice, but saves lives.
@@r.k.2487 but now they do, I bought my Mustache 18 last year from them.
yoh throw Launch, nice flying tweeddle
Thanks JJ!
Australian pilot coming to Cape Town in Feb, hoping to fly LH while I am there, only bringing my big wing and 20 m mini. Your flight looks epic, well done on your your launch. How many knots do you estimate up high? Was it rough up high ?
Hey Chris, this was about 18kn through the levels and very very smooth. The sw wind that makes Lion’s Head fly able is generally very laminar due to it coming straight off the cold ocean.
imagine the plane is coming
Wow.así se ve todo desde arribs😮😮
Freaking beautiful...amazing.
did anybody try to not fly there? Were you able to fly the big dunes on the coast? Do you have any contacts of local paraglider pilots who would help you get to the sites?
All the sites are luckily very accessible from the road. Unfortunately I don’t have any connections there but in the right conditions you will see lots of people flying on the big dunes along the coast ✌️
Isn't that Lohi's?
Nope, it was all chickens
Nice one bruh!
Thanks Ritesh!
