Hi, thanks for watching. I have never milked one. But they are used as a dairy sheep. I have one that is always in milk and I've been tempted to milk it to see how much milk it could produce, but I didn't want to have to dry it up and possible deal with milk fever. Blessings, Dale

@@kleineroteHex The rain we got 2 nights ago was very helpful. It filled most of our water storage totes. I haven't used well water for animals for 3 days. And I have enough for 2 or 3 more days. The weather guys says there is more chances of rain this weekend. Bring it on!

They grow up so fast! I have 2 ewes that lambed, one on Easter and one on April fools, and I din't have time to make a video on them, but they are so small compared to those born the beginning of the year.

Yes it can be. I had so much fun with Ram Lamb 1. He'd follow me around as I did my sheep chores. He'd follow me into the chicken shed when I feed the chickens, then he'd eat the chicken feed until I'd come back later and remove him from the chicken shed. Thank you! This morning he followed me around the barn and in the pasture. Last night about 12:30 AM I did get a little video of him actually getting some milk from Shannon. I'm really pleased about that. Shannon is a good MaMa!

I'm probably only naming the ones I keep. We have 23 lambs now with another 5-7 still due. I'm looking forward to being done with lambing season as I'm wearing out. Getting up several times a night to check on them is tiring.

Yes, they are soooo cute! I have 12 lambs and their mom's now out in the pasture. I love watching them frolickling in the field with each other. Hopefully, some more videos of them soon. I'm having trouble right now downloading the footage for 2 more videos!?! Grrrrrrr

Thanks for watching! You are right about the Amish not wanting videoed or photographed. As part of the agreement I had with them, I wouldn't show their faces out of respect for their culture. I think most of them hadn't joined the Amish church yet, so they themselves might not have cared if their faces showed but they did not want to disrespect their families and their churches. Also as part of agreement was that I posted it to UA-cam as a private video so they could see it first and ok it. The leader seemed very pleased with it. So I then made it public! Blessings, Dale D.

@@3generations991 I used to work in Columbus often and never missed an opportunity to visit "Der Dutchman" when it presented itself. I am not sure if it is still there but it used to be a Mennonite restaurant. It was awesome!

@@martyb3783 I grew up in that area and my parents would frequent Der Dutchman. I've been there, it is awesome. I assume it is still in business. There are a lot of Amish and Mennonite restaurants in the Wayne/Holmes County area that had great German cooking!
