Amazing how it almost sounds civilised....until the catnip kicks in!😊
The switch from that fat, meaty exhaust note to the sharp crackle from the juice is insane.
Ultra is 12. Not 8:5
The 64 ultra high compression 384 Olds was 10.5:1 not 12, and nowhere is 8:5 stated the model of the car is a "98" genius 😂
I really expect to see more fuel coming out of the headers at idle when he switched it over.

It's ready! You just can't beat that nitrous sound, beautiful!😮

'57 Chevy has got to be my favorite. Thanks for posting. New subscriber.
As a kid in the 1970s I built a Monogram 1/32 model of Tom Daniels’ Tarantula with crazy spider leg headers, looked very similar to this. Anyone recall it ?
dont think Ive seen an early Jav with a 390 before. Too bad you had to cut it short when someone hopped in and decided its time to go.

Graeme Cowin is the master of this sport and still is the go to guy
Asking to be let out
I dunno why but when I saw the no seats i imagined a lil guy standing up to drive it 😂 Nice build, 392 is a really cool choice of engine. My gramps has a T, but its all stock and original condition. I love em
@@ben5660-k8t yes the front seats were out while working on it, but as it is there still isn't a lot of room
Terrible camera dude where's the video of the car
Nice video of everyone’s butt.

Nice 👍 it would be nice in my truck ❤ I love it I bet it’s a wild ride 😊
I wonder how much a nostalgia FED team would charge me to sit in the seat during a static nitro run with a few throttle whacks like that.
@@one-o-four889 it's not like a carnival ride, racers in general are a very tight group and like an extended family, more often than not you have to know someone, or have earned your spot in the seat, by helping work on the car, set up etc. We always try to plant the seed in young people, to get them engaged and interested and get them off their devices and into the real world, and although firing the car being in it is the potential hook if you will, but it's after that, standing there looking at the car when you explain sitting in front of them is about 10 different career paths that don't require a college degree that they can over time make a 6 figure income or more and go anywhere and make money, for example they can be a welder, fabricator, machinist, painter, tuner, engine builder etc. That being said, there are a few people that do charge for a seat in the car usually $200 ish which usually goes towards a charity and or maintaining the car, fuel etc Nitro isn't cheap, usually unless they know you or you familiar with the cars or have been around them they won't let you wack the throttle
@@garyallen8869 thanks for your reply. By no means was I seeing it as a carnival ride or something anyone could hop in. I truly understand the privileges that come only to those who put in the efforts. I always saw myself (during a visit to the US since live in Europe) spending a few days with a crew, soak up as much information as I could from anyone from the team who would want to share some knowledge on blown nitro engines, and me cleaning up the trailer, the tools, do any job that the guy at the bottom of the ladder would be doing. And after they would all agree that I am an okay guy I would cough up the thousand bucks (I always thought that such an amount would be normal for such a privilege) and could sit in a FED with the engine running on nitro. Fine by me if the crew chief would be the only one doing the wacking. So, hope this explains a bit my initial reaction/simple question. Kind regards, Dirk
@@one-o-four889 no worries, often crews, are very welcoming to visitors from other countries and are happy to show you all about the sport, culture and cars, if you come to visit the US, try attending some of the Nostalgia events like The California Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield CA, The Nitro Revival, or some of the Good Guys car shows that have the Nitro Thunder at them, but the previous ones are the best, you may just find yourself having a great time, meeting some outstanding people, and possibly even getting a seat in a car much cheaper than you think 👍🏁
