    I remember being impressed by Cossacks 2 unit counts (without lagging an average PC in 2005) and then they top that with STALKER. GSC was on a roll during that time..

    Hey jimmychanga i bought TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta Alpha RGB DDR5 Ram 32GB Kit (2x16GB) 6000MHz (PC5-48000) Hope it fits in my aurora r13 It seems that 32g is the sweet spot just like you where pointing me towards , I hope this lets me play stalker 2 on 1080p as im using on my tv not monitor 900p setup Seems like it will be a very simple upgrade theres walkthroughs of bios setup after install cant wait to see what 100 dollars worth of the cards you pointed me towards do man , that poor 8g one was a trooper though

      It's not going to sadly. You have a ddr4 motherboard (based on the CPU you told me you have), that's why I said 3600mhz ddr4 would be the fastest speed you could get, but I wasn't sure your board supported 3600mhz so I reccomended 3200mhz to be safe. You got half of my recommendation right lol. 32gb is what you need and I did say t-force, but ddr5 wont fit my man. DDR5 is for intel 13/15th gen cpu's and AMD 7000-9000 CPU's. It's an entirely different platform than you have.

      @ no sir 12th gen , im staring at my processes trying to determine if indeed it is ddr4 or ddr5 , my purchase history says yes but identifying it through processes gets tricky ( not cut and paste) basicaly my speed is 4400mhz but many can be clocked this way only 4800mhz and up is ddr5 so im trying to see how else i can determine ( without opening ) my computer what i have Does 12th core mean ddr5 lol

    It baffles me how something as complex as this could be created 20 years ago on 20 year old hardware but can't be replicated on modern hardware. It's not even the fault of lumen or nanite because those are gpu bound, and STALKER 2 currently is cpu bounded. That means something in the code is hogging a lot of cpu usage and delivering a worse experience, despite cpus today being literally a million times faster than 20 years ago.

      @inxendere I've said this on stream a bunch. They made alife work 15 years ago on single core processors within a notoriously limited engine (x-ray engine). I think UE5 brings in an entirely new set of problems that GSC didn't account for and is very resource intensive. I'd imagine they ported the original alife code into stalker 2 and then expanded upon it, but something is either seriously broken within the code, or something within UE5 is requiring far to much CPU resources to fully unleash ALIFE 2.0 without seriously impacting performance

    I miss the way trees and scrub flap around wildly in the wind like in the old games, really adds to the immersion. Computer game ‘reality’ now dictates foliage should always just rock gently. It sucks.

    As much as I do like Stalker 2 the equivalent to A-life is 3-6 bandit spawning and auto aiming me to death. The aim punch and them spawning while I’m in an open field is just not fun to play.

      Which is literally no different than Farcy, which is such a departure from the previous 3 games. ALife isnt supposed to feel like an Ubisoft open world game.

      I've compared it to Farcry. It's such a departure from the previous 3 games in terms of A.I. mechanics. I believe once they figure out whatever hurdles their dealing with getting ALIFE 2.0 online that the game will be incredible. The more testing and digging I do, the more I'm seeing inconsistencies. It really feels like the original alife code has been ported into the game, expanded on, and IS trying to work in the background, however something is broken, causing essentially all alife related events to be incredibly rare as well as causing A.I. behavior in general to be incredibly wonky.'

    Stalker 2 would be great but sadly mods are more entertaining. New one feels like a Far Cry and I dont mind it but Stalker never was a generic open world game. Also CPU optimization sucks ass. :/

      I believe that Stalker 2 will be incredible a year from now and once they give modders the SDK it'll ensure the game is played for the next 10+ years.

    sorry to say but the depot bandits are part of a ward quest. the guy in glasses on the balcony is the "kingpin". youre just supposed to take them out for the ward sort of

I found out later through someone's knife only video of a ward playthrough that you go there after the chemical plant. Wish it would have been included for both spark and ward, not sure why its separate.

    NPCs do loot bodies in stalker2, but very rare. there is video on it on the subreddit

      I will be covering this game for the next few years. Stalker is my main game series I play outside of content creation and only just recently decided to include it on the channel. Will 100% be documenting Stalker 2's mishaps and success's.

      I've played all of them. If you watch the video the whole way through, or even look at the time stamps, I cover different features from each of the 3 in the trilogy as well as Stalker anomaly (what most thought ALIFE 2.0 would model itself after)

    Annomoly and gamma is another beast. Its like survival mode of fallout on steroids. Its vast and immersive as f-. I appreciate vanilla stalker games, and the mod communities colossal contributions.

      Stalker 2 is going to be a juggernaut a year from now. It's got so much potential. It's the question of will GSC unleash the potential or will we have to wait for the SDK to drop and modders unleash the potential. Reguardless, I can't wait to see this game 3 years from now in terms of where it goes w/ modding.

    So far I have spent almost 100 hours in this game and, as a long time STALKER fan, I can say that except for the graphics, STALKER 2 is far inferior compared to the other 3 previous games. Maybe for console players it is attractive (they play simple games but with good graphics like METRO) but for true STALKER fans, this game at the moment is just an attempt to imitate the STALKER universe. For me personally it feels boring and repetitive and I say it with sadness, the game is lifeless. It is obvious that this game was not designed for replayability but for selling future DLCs, so I have my doubts about the ability of the modding community to significantly modify the game (they will not be allowed to do that because that means fewer options for Devs and implicitly less profit, let's not forget that Microsoft is a part of the story)

    I did watch a video someone did zoom out with the camera while the character was still at the same position, and when they go outside of this bubble and despawn and he go back they are still there, same like npc do travel offline, idk if you can use too this camera mode on pc to test it, I think that’s much better than walking.

    I've found after you leave SIRCAA, the game is really bugged. From crashes in Rostok to npcs soft locking quests. Might be wise to wait for another update to progress.

    I feel like ALife should also work not by spawning random guys wherever they want, but at the borders of the Zone as a new guy, just like he just come into. But they still need to be spawned to replace dead ones.

    Good to mention that GSC now should manage whole areas at once. I don't know how easy to achieve this on UE, but what they would do is just what they did in OG stuff. They would run 2 ALife instances: global and some radiuswide. Intensivenest would be different for them

    An even bigger issue is how you can just slap a medkit on yourself and instantly be back to full health. On top of that, they're so abundant that you're not likely to ever run out of them even if you never buy them. It completely breaks combat balance. Luckily, mods can easily correct that by slowing down the rate of healing and reducing the amount of loot.

    Npcs never persist in a game. They only spawn around you in places you can't see. In open world games things are streamed in and out based on player's location. In your instance where duty members would kill the bandits before you arrive it's a matter of probability calculation to decide whether the bandits would be dead by the time you arive or not. If you are far away in another corner of the map there aren't actual npcs fighting on an opposite end of the map.

    Idk why but I have horrible aim in this game. I’m playing on pc but it feels like I’m steering a yacht, I can’t even full auto at point blank range or I miss all my shots. It’s difficult to aim at people and I’ve been playing games all my life. The mouse movement on here feels horrible :(

    The "elevated surface hiding mechanic" drives me up the wall. As does the laser targeting wall hack the npcs seem to have even after 1.1.2. Then you have npcs whe have infinite ammo until you loot them....then they have 6 rounds.....

    Try getting back to Malachite using a guide. The scientists inside are friendly to you as soon as you walk up to them the red icons will turn white. The only problem is - Ward now controls the base so you can only sneak in and out if you’re not using a guide. There’s a short tunnel to get in and out without being seen by the ward.

    Every game that’s released today is broken and unfinished it takes a year or two of patches bug fixes and updates to get to the game that they originally sold us,I don’t want to buy a game for £70 and then wait two years for it to be the game I paid for that is a scam. It’s the reason that every single game released has a day one patch that’s because they’ve released that game unfinished and broken and that patch is the fix and add stuff they didn’t have time to put in the game or fix because they had a release date to aim for. Update so now I’ve just got a 9 GB update on my Xbox started the game and my hood completely disappeared this game is more broken than fixed

    On console after the 1.1 update the game is terrible. They didn’t fix anything for console all they did was patch the exploits and add groups of NPC’s walking around the map randomly fighting each other. Every think that was bugged or broken before the patch is exactly the same or a little bit worse. 1800 fixes it’s bullshit

    There is saying in our region "inventing hot water" for someone who pretends to invent somerhing "better" needlessly,but in this case they invented cold liquid it's not hot nor water.Same goes for money,language, looks like someone intentionally killed franchise.I expected Metro-Farcry-Stalker Frankenstein after watching teaser 3 months ago,but this is even worse.Stalker Dreamcatcher looks like Stalker 3 compared to this.

      @muralboletube yes I didn't get it. I was promised a functional game, with a-life. Instead I got a buggy mess of a "game", that after the last 2 patches and 60+hrs in won't even run. So yeah, I did not receive stalker 2, instead I bought alpha access apparently

    Good stream and dude good scream, what a way to end a streaming session🤘 What I wanted to clarify is I tested this on patch 1.1 on an XSX. Near Malachite there is a bridge and across that is a little camp. I had a group walking towards that camp and they were sitting down. So I put a marker on the map and walked back untill they popped out of existance and it was around 80m. So I walked towards again until they reappeared, which they did. Same group size and faction, but they weren't sitting they were walking towards the camp again to sit down. Did this couple of times and always the same behaviour. So a bit further is a compound and in there was total chaos NPC and mutants fighting constantly, I think it was the same where you spotted the respawning Poltergeist. So anyway, in this compound the distance where I was able to see the NPC's was around 130m on the map, but I wasn't able to back up any further because of the line of sight between buildings. So in summary, in open world around 80m pop in/out and in large compound further distance. Sry for the long text, couldn't describe it better and sry for grammar I am not a native english speaker. Keep up the good work🤘 Edit: I just tested the new patch that dropped today and I had working stealth with breaking line of sight and NPC investigating dead bodies for the first time. I don't know if this was a thing before, but I never noticed it. The enemies started searching the area. One was looting a body and I checked it. The looted body was empty and the other guy was packed with items and guns so, yeah he really looted the corpse. First time this happened to me don't know about you.

    Why like 98% of yt even the big channels talking about "a life is here it changed everything". Is stalker a game like starfield where the most are just clickbaiter? I mean here are like the only true videos about a life all this other big channels where talking about they are the biggest stalker fan don’t even know what a life is, they really mean it’s in the game now.

      It's either for the M701 super or the EBR. Definitely a line of script for an SVU silencer that you can spawn in via console commands, but it doesnt seem to be in the game itself

      @ did you find high capacity magazine for gauss rifle? I find it amusing since the thing lets me clear a whole apartment complex on veteran mode / can you please explain why i keep getting the same blue prints? Is this letting me do the upgrade on a certain suit or on any once?

    Bro doesn't understand that soft skinned vehicles dont stop rifle rounds like 5.56 or 5.45. The game has a decently realistic take on what is cover and what is concealment. Tell you what, plenty of real fighting still in Ukraine. Pick a side, pick up an AK. Hide behind a non armored vehicle and then draw some fire. Tell me how that goes too I'm really curious(I already know the answer).

      It shouldn't offer full cover, but it should offer concealment. The fact that they can pinpoint his location and shoot dead on through it means it's not acting as concealment.

      Can confirm I was not. I have the full unedited clip. This video was more for the patch 1.12 so I didn't want to bog it down with long clips of A.I. instances. I'm putting together a video specifically for the ALIFE/A.I. in S2 where these clips will be shown in their entirety. Leaving them in a video like this unedited causes the video to perform poorly.

      @THEJimmiChanga sometimes you get shot and the compass won't mark them but I agree that pach 1.1.2 is just their first iteration of A-life. It's hard having to be limited by the hardware.

    "Getting laser beamed through a whole truck".... 1) Its rusted out, that is more concealment than it is cover, 2) You aren't moving from that area so they are going to shoot at your last know position. 3) You can clearly see tracers going past you. I don't know man... this just seems silly to me.

    Some pointers... 0:00 Unarmoured vehicles don't make good cover in this game. They can fire through it. So can you as a matter of fact. This actually is pretty realistic. Automobiles don't make good cover unless you hide behind the engine compartment. I believe the AI in this game is also supposed to have a sort of suppressive fire mechanic, where they may light up your last seen position. That being said, their pinpoint accuracy here is pretty absurd. That definitely should be fixed. A good AI system sometimes requires making the AI oblivious at the right times. Even if they could shoot through cover, they shouldn't be able to know exactly where you are behind it. 0:50 This might need more testing done. I believe Offline AI is supposed to simulate "squads", not "individuals". It seems to be this way in previous titles too. Probably a necessary form of optimisation, as simulating every individual would be incredibly taxing on the CPU. For next time, I recommend you test this on an actual squad with 3 or more guys in it, following a patrol path. 2:00 Scripted spawns may be annoying, but they did as a matter of fact ALWAYS exist in previous titles. Remember the Circus Anomaly from Call of Pripyat? A fire poltergeist constantly spawns there. The Stingray wreck also has a respawning electric poltergeist. In Shadow of Chernobyl, the Agroprom Underground has that one bloodsucker encounter that constantly respawns. They also have the Bloodsucker Village, which is constantly spawning bloodsuckers in. 9:40 A-Life is a complicated system that does a multitude of things. The core feature is AI persistence, where NPCs have online and offline states. However, it does also include the ability to spawn things. These spawns are usually quite seamless, because they are often done out of bounds, where the player won't typically notice, but the sequel is now one cohesive open world, rather than a bunch of cells with loading screens in between them. It may not be able to obfuscate these spawns as well as it used to in order to maintain that illusion.

      This is all fair pushback 0:00 I get that vehicles CAN be penetrated, however, in fairness that's why i stepped to the side to show that it wasn't just penetrating a part of the vehicle, but instead the entire vehicle from back to front. There's only a few high caliber guns in existence that could achieve something like that. 0:50 I explain later in the video that I have tested larger squads. In my experience they end up disbanding after following them for 5ish minutes, then dissappearing when I walk away. However, the distance until the disappear has been increased. Their still not persistant 2:00 I do actually remember there being scripted enemies, and I think I mentioned that briefly (not 100%). My gripe with the brain scorcher instance in this case is it's just a normal POI in this game outside of the collar side quest, therefore I feel it shouldn't have any scripted spawns, especially the same 3 poltergeists in the same 3 spots, spawning in minutes after you leave. It's immersion breaking in my opinion. I wasn't a fan of the electrical poltergeist spawning back in at the Stingray in Zaton, and only went to the circus anomaly one time per playthrough so didn't notice the FP respawn, so fair enough. They hid this well enough though such as the claw anomaly where snorks would ambush you from the hiding holes. Theyd respawn but it was believable as it was one of 2 hiding holes in that area. The problem in S2 is, it's at most POI's whereas it was sparse in the previous games. 9:40 I think the main problem right now is, when this happened in the older games, it was sparse and generally in a different region than the player. At the very least far enough from the player that they would never notice. Right now, there's no persistence in my testing outside of bases and scripted NPC's and the spawns happens constantly, within a 200-250m radius of the player. It makes encounters rather jarring. I do urge you to encounter a group, run outside of the 250m radius and come back. I've tested this thoroughly and almost every time they've despawned. My next video will be compilation of various instances like I did in my "Stalker 2's a.i. is a mess" video.

    Thanks for this vid. Too many out there just saying the patch "made things better" when a lot of us want to know the actual state of everything. It bums me out that a lot of people won't get to experience what a-life should be since they'll play the game in it's current state then move on.

    starting to get tired of all this slamming on stalker for a stupid A-life system. That’s the only complaint I’ve heard out of people and they’re acting like it’s ruined their life. Shut up and enjoy the game it’s better than 90% of shit we’ve gotten in the past 4 years

      So you're not a fan of the old games. That's cool but people have different expectations. It's hard to get upset about losing something you haven't experienced after all. Personally I don't want another open world fps with a spawn system which is why I haven't bought it. If they get a-life working right it's an instant purchase because it's a fundamental part of what makes the old games so great to me.

      They marketed ALIFE 2.0 as an improved version of Call of Pripyat's ALIFE 1.0. They sold us on this, then proceeded to pull it from marketing mere days before launch. What we got was ALIFE .25. It pales in comparison to what was offered in the original trilogy. Stalker's core base that came from the 3 original games have a right to feel slighted.

    I totally share your sentiment. I'm slowly making my way through the game and loving it, despite the numerous bugs. I overlooked it and kept going because I am having a good time. But I am currently now heading towards End Game and OMG it gets so much worse. The constant crashes, almost endless spawning enemies in full gear with laser accuracy that demolish your gear durability so quickly and bugged quests. I just want to finish the game and then Ill wait till more patches come out then jump back in. A-life has still got a long way to go and there are still so many things missing from the game like night vision
