Great video. I ordered one couple days ago should be here soon
No learn to turkey hunt. Electronic decoys should be illegal. If you need that you aren't much of turkey hunter and i suggest you take up golf
I purchased the beginners series and trying to use the Greenhorn , how do you tell if the tab is down when positioning in your mouth?
Finally I sound like a turkey and not a velociraptor!
Losers
Joe Biden Joe Biden Joe Biden! My turkey call is guaranteed to bag a huge turkey........
I bought one of these and it’s not worth the $$$. Had problem and called them and they never called back
I’ve duck hunted with smaller spreads.
I'm buying one now.
Awesome! Let us know how we can help!
It’s a straight up game changer!
Sure is!
The STRUTT’N 360 is amazing! Went from hardly any decoy interaction to constantly having birds beating up the decoys! We love the TV quality hunts!
Watched a ton of videos and was getting it. This video and the pitch breakdown made something click in my head and finally starting to get somewhere. Thanks!
You are welcome! Do you have a Greenhorn by chance? That also DRASTICALLY simplifies the learning process! Check it out here: rjdunkin.com/product/struttn-ridge-single-reed-turkey-mouth-call/
So I got a couple of these and all I'm doing is gagging. If you're supposed to use your tongue to press the call up against the rear roof of your mouth, how is air supposed to get through and over your tongue? Thanks.
You may need to slightly trim the tape on the call if you are gagging. The air should flow under the call and over your tongue. The front of the call frame should sit roughly where your molars start in your mouth. The gagging is sometimes resolved by trimming the tape, just do it incrementally and keep trying. Let us know how else we can help!
If you have a strong seal of the call to the roof of your mouth then you will be able to force air between the call and your tongue. You can practice what this feels like without a call in your mouth. Put the tip of your tongue behind your bottom front teeth, press the middle of your tongue up to the roof of your mouth and huff air from your diaphragm (like you are hissing like a cat) through your mouth. Once you have that feel down then you can put the call in and try
@@STRUTTN360 thank you! That was the magic instruction! None of the many online hunters in UA-cam who have put out videos on how to use a mouth call have explained that it is literally the force of the air that is forcing its way over the tongue and across the call-- where things are sealed up preventing a natural exhale until that huff of air. Now I need to just learn to sculpt the sound now that I'm activating the reed!
Glad it helped! Good luck out there! We also like this video, which uses the beginner series. ua-cam.com/video/SdTfBFuWRI0/v-deo.html
Shooting toms off the back of Jake decoys is fun!
Sure is!

Best Decoy Motion System, Period: rjdunkin.com/product/struttn-360-motion-decoy-base/
No idea have been trying for so long I still can’t find a video that helps just going to throw them away again
Do you have a Greenhorn?
The more layers of latex, the easier it is to use. Or so I have heard...
What do u mean when u say drop your tongue
Reduce the amount of pressure on the Reed of the call. Some will drop their tongue. Others will drop their jaw to get the lower pitch sound
I haven’t cut it at all but there’s air getting around so should I cut it a little to try to fit it to my mouth
Yes, you should trim it a bit to make it fit without air getting over the call.
Good video been trying for years will buy and try again have bought got frustrated and toss them....BJ Beagles
Please let us know how we can help, but the Greenhorn will definitely make it way easier!
@@STRUTTN360 I ordered it tonight but will go first time this week a Tuesday use my old box call kill alot with them but sometimes they hold tight the mouth call get them closer for sure...
Yup, when you can’t move and they are in tight the mouth call is the ticket!
Corner, outside corner . A radius is not a corner, as you illustrate.
Hopefully you get the idea. Get on the point where they can see the decoys from both sides
When I try to whistle it’s making a crackling noise
You likely are not getting a proper seal of the tape against the roof of your mouth. If it continues, you may need to SLOWLY trim the tape for a better fit.
Turn the volume down. You are straining your speakers.
Noise doesn't bother??
No, not at all. 99% of the time you are turning it birds are many yards away. And we turn it a ton when birds are standing right next to it and they don’t pay any attention at all
Great video keep it up.
Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for your comment!
Question for you, How well does this type call work if you have dentures? and are there non-latex options? BTW thanks for an easy to understand video for us noobs...
Alex, thanks for the question! I will admit I am unsure how they work with dentures, but I would think as long as they are secure and you can create an air tight seal between the roof of your mouth and the call it would work. We do not have non-latex versions.
Excellent instructions! Explained at a level the beginner can understand.
Thanks for your comment!
Thank you for the great tips
Thanks for the comment!
Pretty Good information for beginners, Great Video
Thanks for the comment!
Day 2 sounded like a Tea Kettle 👍
Great!
Nice , kinda like the one I built but cost a lot more ...
Appreciate the comment reach out any time if you have questions!
So I can yelp...kinda decent. However I'm having a lot of trouble not blowing and huffing using my diaphragm
You might need to over exaggerate it for a while until you get a feel for it. You can also just think about trying to fog a mirror, that will force you to use your diaphragm. You diaphragm is a muscle, so you have to exercise it and the more you use it the more control you will get
@@STRUTTN360 so I'm getting there am I suppose to be regulating the yelp I guess you would say with my tongue or breath
Tongue pressure controls the pitch on how high or low the note is. The more pressure the higher pitch. So the Yelp is high pressure (high note) to reduced pressure (lower note) then you just need to work on controlling it. I will slightly accelerate the air when I reduce my tongue pressure, but I think that is something to play with a little further down the road
You made a great video I guess I’m just doing something wrong. I can’t even make a sound with my call
Your most likely not getting a seal with your call
UTUBE might be right are you getting a cracking noise when you blow air? Also do you have our single reed greenhorn? The single reed is critical starting out because it takes very little air pressure making it very easy to produce a sound and then work on your high and low note. rjdunkin.com/product/struttn-ridge-single-reed-turkey-mouth-call/
I'm amazed that not one person has commented on this video. This is excellent
Thank you for the first comment and the positive feedback! Hope it helped you!
Well done!!!
thank you!
Just won yalls giveaway on Instagram and am PUMPED to get it out in the woods ASAP!
It’s on its way! Enjoy!!!
Where can you get the STRUTT'N 360 at?
Aaron you can get it here: rjdunkin.com Thanks for the comment!
I ordered two, got them today and I’ll be playing with them tomorrow, I think this will be a great aid to keep the birds in the field
It will be! Have fun and feel free to reach out any time!
pro trick: watch series on InstaFlixxer. Been using it for watching loads of movies these days.
@Benton Joseph Yup, I have been watching on InstaFlixxer for years myself =)
Second hunt I’ve watched you miss or wound birds, why do you wait until they go to leave to shoot?
It happens to the best of us. We could be like the rest and just cut out the misses and make ourselves look perfect but that isn’t reality. It’s a little more difficult when you are trying to coordinate cameras and everything else. Thanks for the comment.
Loved it!
Thank you!
Great hunt. Hope I get to hunt the Rio someday. I’ll be chasing the Eastern’s her in Tennessee this Spring and my DSD Jake will be riding my Strutt’n 360.. can’t wait!
Send us pics! Thanks for the comment!
Monster!!! Way to go !!
Thank you!
Will the 360 work with avian X Decoys
Absolutely. The AvianX will either sit on top of the supplied rubber stopper or the rubber stopper will slide into the bottom of the decoy.
