2 Parts, 3 Vise, 4 Offsets on a Haas TM1p Mill
This video shows a good example of how you can use multiple offsets and workholding, to run multiple parts on the same machine. This is very useful for a job shop where only a few of each part are made vs. large runs of the same part. Here we are using a single vise for OP1 on each part.

    I wanted to know how to rotate around the X axis. This tutorial states "we can rotate around ANY axis" but fails to show how to do that and only shows how to rotate around the default axis =Z. I am still stuck.

    • @zanesworldofcnc
      @zanesworldofcnc Рік тому

      @berntd easy way is to right click and select one of the other planes (right or front) then rotate about that axis. In some situations you will need to make a new plane to rotate about.

    • @berntd
      @berntd Рік тому

      @@zanesworldofcnc Thanks. You mentioned right clicking but you did not mention on what, in which window, where. ???

    • @zanesworldofcnc
      @zanesworldofcnc Рік тому

      @berntd you can right click anywhere on the worksapce screen (not on an object or toolbar) this will bring up the "context menu" then you will see a lot of useful tools including the other default planes

    • @zanesworldofcnc
      @zanesworldofcnc 4 роки тому

      Threads in inventor are just a representation. You would need to actually model the thread in using a coil to print a real thread. Its simpler that it sounds.

      @@zanesworldofcnc I had a question, i dont have experience using inventor but i was going to 3d print something for friend that he drew. if his drawing is done in inches and i use your method here of exporting in millimeters and high res to .stl will the true part size be represented in cura? i wasnt sure if inventor is converting the true size of of the object from one unit to another or just making one inch equal to one mm. Hope that makes sense.
