Triumph speed twin 1200 i had in for a custom remap using tuneecu software, although it didn’t gain a massive amount of power now the air fuel ratio has been adjusted it runs much smoother & it will now rev to the rev limit & carry power all the way to the top rev range. First video with the new hohem mic 01 & inch feel the audio is much cleaner Thanks for watching

This was a GSXR 750 l7 that came in for a custom tune,we later found out it had a problem with some damaged wires that I repaired & then was able to do some base runs with a fresh set of spark plugs as well. Once serviced & ready to go i got set to adding the woolich racing on bike harness for live data to help the mapping process,we managed to get some nice gains from this one as we do with al...

Great progress mate.. enjoying this one.. See you tomorrow aye..!
@@Moonfleet41 cheers mate, need to do final testing & get the final part 3 edited, see you tomorrow, looking forward to it 👍
10 minute job then?
Probably 1.5 days to remove & refit engine by time it’s bled up etc
Background music is unnecessary and distracting.
@@jacketrussell thanks for the feedback
@@jbsworkshopwhen there was first pause in music I thought finally thank you. But then it starts over (
Great to catch up with you again at the Bike Fest JB 💪........ cracking video edit 🏍💨🏁😎
@@raceshift5680 cheers buddy I enjoy making the video’s,fingers crossed it’s bigger & better next year 👍
Would like to see how my 2020 T00 shapes up on a dyno.....not looking for more power.....just a fuel air that kinder to the motor....is that practical. Will the Triumph ECU....not try and reverse your fueling adjustment's.....I seem to remember reading that it could well do. My knolarge dont stretch that far.
@@nickaxe771 I believe on 2020 you can’t have as much control over the closed loop area of the map as 02 sensor has to stay connected. So you can only have full control of the open loop fuel map(tps fuel map) & limited control over closed loop
Thank you so much for getting back to me. Bit over my head.....so would I be wasting my time if I asked for a fuel increase of say 5% across the RPM range at my local dyno tuning shop.
@@nickaxe771 from the dyno work I’ve done on the pre 2020 bikes I would say around 8% increase in all tps settings up to 80% throttle across the entire rpm range & richen the closed loop map to 13.8 to 13.5. Obviously it’s best to check it on dyno but I think that will get you close & a better running bike
@@jbsworkshop Interesting....I have TuneEcu and know my way around it to alter the service wrench and clear and read fault codes. Wish I was nearer to Doncaster and I would let you do it for me.....long way from Liverpool. Is it something I could do myself? or could I easy bugger things up. I do have the T100 map installed.....
@@nickaxe771 I would say it’s best to have a bit of experience with the mapping side before attempting it. Having a dyno to hand is also a massive help so you can verify changes
So what was the bhp increase in the end?
@@TheHowardski it finished with 90bhp & the before run was 88bhp so not big gains top end due to customer wanting to keep the baffles in. Without baffles it would be around 94bhp at a guess. But it runs much smoother now & had bigger bhp improvements low down where you use it on the road
Was the goal just correcting a/f ratios only? Was the customer not interested in performance gains even with throttle limitations removed? Thanks
@@krie2375 I removed throttle limitations & any ignition restrictions, removed 02 sensors & charcoal canister before I did my base runs to then finally build a fuel map with consistent AFR ratio’s across all tps settings & rpm ranges. Doing this allows it to have a smoother throttle transition & as a by product normally results in performance gains especially in the areas it’s running very lean. I could of got more power & performance removing the baffles but the customer rides with baffles in all the time so that’s how I mapped it,I normally talk with the customer before tuning & try my best to give them what they want & maximum power isn’t always there request. Hope this info helps👍thanks for the comment
Nice video matey, fair increase in bhp and torque percentage wise, how did it ride???
Not massive gains but it rode much smoother with a better air fuel ratio. So glad I got a better mic set-up,sounds much more consistent
Given up on trials
@@larropowell3658 no I am still riding trials but with moving workshop & having a little lad I haven’t had much time to ride unfortunately
Freaked me out the first time I did belts on a Ducati, just doesn't feel right not fighting valve springs, keep up the good work matey
I don’t work on many Ducati’s anymore as they can be a pain but these are nice & easy to do the belts on👍new mic system works better with my phone now for sure
What air filter did you use and did you have a way to tuner with specific tune for the filter into the bike’s tune? also found changing all spark plugs, couplings, and running Techron fuel additive to clean the injectors and fuel pump. For the love of all that is good and friends, don’t run cheap ass 89 oct fuel in this bike.
The customer opted to keep the standard filter but I have done a couple of these with a dna air filter & built a custom map to suit the filter & full decat system it had on. I use the dyno to get the afr data then use tune ecu to build a custom map specific to the mods, load that map in & retest until im happy with a nice consistent afr
How about doing a little video on you and your journey to get where you are now, remember them good old days down at Warnham, got to be some fun little tales to be told. But the tech stuff is great, heres to a 1000 subs.
@@Mr57blackbeauty that’s not a bad idea, kind of show everyone what it takes to build your own little business from scratch
Now, the video is looking and sounding as professional as your work, looking forward to seeing more top content 👍👍👍
@@Mr57blackbeauty thanks👍 it’s not quite the setup I would like but hopefully the mic will be a good improvement until I can get the road wireless pro. I am looking forward to seeing how the gimbal works & how it adds a bit of variety to the videos 👍
Yo mate!Keep working on your dream!Congratulations but never give up.
@@UKBRPJudicary thanks 👍I enjoy doing the video’s I just want to try & do them based on what people would like to see, thanks for the comment 👍
it looks really good bro. i always love a hexagonal long can on a modern bike especially sportbikes, they match perfectly. the carbon fiber 350mm looks perfect on size and length. the shape though for me is my favourite. did lextek still produce the 350mm one?
I think this system looked very good on the mt09 & it performed very well. I think they still do the same system
My 300 GasGas has a really sweet clutch. Maybe there was something wrong with the one you rode?
Come on John, get a lapel mic, nice informative video as usual🏍🏍🏍
The next thing on the list is a rode wireless pro as the sound is always one thing that gets on my nerves as it can make a good video seem poor quality. Thanks for the feedback as it does help me make the channel better for the viewers 👍
Are you still on the same estate at crossways ?????
@@Mr57blackbeauty yes I am still on the same estate,I am just opposite the old workshop
Sound advice as always chap, keep up the good work🏍🏍🏍
Do you really need a lazer to do this?
No just more precise
No you can do it with a pair of straight edges but i run a workshop & the laser is quicker & more accurate,it can also be used to check frames, swing arms etc so it has multiple uses in a professional workshop
Great video, wish id seen it a week ago before i bought my first bike which is the same as yours in a 250 😂 , i bought a cheap trials helmet and used my motocross gear for my first ride , i dont think i did too bad though . Great video 💯
Top tip my man,
Is that a 400 mm pipe
I think it was around 350mm from memory
The only video ive ever watched that i wished never ended
❤ I need to say a massive thank you because it's been really hard finding real Info like this ,for a newbie who wants to start my head was spinning and I had no idea how to start ,it's really difficult finding info ,you've helped me so much I can't thank you enough 😊
No problem at all,I am glad you found some useful information to help you in your journey of joining the world of trials. If I can help with any info just drop a comment & I will try to help point you in the write direction. There is no need to get stressed or panic as there is allot of help out there, sometimes it’s just finding it. Good luck for the future,I hope you enjoy trials as much as I do 😁
Videos looking very professional and low and mid range increases in power is just what you want. Nice work, jb🏍🏍👏👏👏
I am trying to add a bit more technical content now rather than just sticking dyno runs & graphs up. It is hard work as I watch them back after & think I could of put more effort into it or added more info but it’s surprising how long the videoing & editing takes & you always miss something so it’s finding a good balance
Do you have any work for me? I'm also a mechanic
No sorry,I am a one man band & like it that way, easier to control & manage
I assume that he has another road system and your doing this for track use only😉
Of course
partner please
I don’t understand the comment?
What we're the Bhp and torque gains?
The graph showing before & after gains is at the end of the video,it’s not all about the top end gains though it’s the lower down smoothness & power you use more on the road & this is also improved
Back to your roots, then Mr Barnes, and it's the little extra attention to detail that sets you above the rest🏍🏍🏍👍👍👍
Yea,I’m trying to build my UA-cam channel & hopefully bring a bit of insite into running a workshop,so if I can pass on a bit of knowledge that’s a bonus
Why was it only 71-87ps at the beginning(base run)?
That was the 40% throttle run not 100%% tps
@@jbsworkshop Thank you.
@@ulasima19 no problem,it’s not always clear,I do try & be as transparent as possible & always do base runs at many throttle positions starting at the lower end 5/10% for tps mapping all the way to 100% & everything in between & iap mapping is normally from 2/5% up to around 15/20% to smooth out steady cruise AFR. It takes allot of time but the results are much better than just trying to chase that 100% tps power number.
Great to see you have a routine you stick to. That way theirs never any chance of a mistake, quality work as always
I always try & stick to a routine so I know where I am during the service for when delivery’s turn up or customers arrive etc I know when I got to. I normally leave the phone & get back to messages later in the day so it’s less of a distraction
Nice video. It's great to see all the right tools being used, but get yourself a clip on mic😉
I said to the mrs I need to get a good wireless mic as the audio is shocking,so your comment is 100% taken on board & will look to improve on my video’s 👍
Awesome tuning session!
Had a fair few trials bikes over the years but I’m on my second beta evo 3004t now and gel with it totally. Had a chance to ride a vertigo nitro 300 last Sunday and loved it. Brilliant bike. Great video and spot on advice here 👍
Thanks mark. I’ve only been riding around 2years but love the sport. Most of my friends I ride with all run montesa’s now but I can’t bring myself away from the 2t’s. I love my vertigo 200,I just need to progress my riding skills & have more confidence now.
All of your tuning are right on the spot! Well done. I am happy to see your tune on MT-10. I managed the same tune with you last year with my MT-09 SP. This year i own an MT-10 and hopefully i'll reach your numbers.
I try my best to get good consistent AFR’s at every throttle position & let the numbers be what they are,I don’t chase hp numbers as dyno’s all read different,as long as it has good before & after gains on the same dyno & a nice AFR & smooth throttle I’m happy & they all ride nice on the road 👍
@KHIJAPAN Does the MT10 accelerate much harder than the MT09 below 6000rpm?
@@donnyazoff980 yes it has a fair bit more torque but I would say the mt09 is as much fun on the road as an mt10 as you can use more of the power
@@jbsworkshop thanks for the prompt reply! I own an MT09 Tracer which I absolutely love. It has a full Delkevic exhaust and Woolwich tune so it’s pretty quick but sometimes I think about upgrading to an MT10 especially when I see the power it’s making in your video!
@@donnyazoff980 The question is why you need a bike to accelerate hard below 6000 RPM? The answer is, there isn't any bike that can accelerate this hard, If I well understood your question. And yes MT-10 is more powerful than MT-09. MT-10 is an R1 for road use. Watch video YAMAHA MT10 RAW SOUND AKRAPOVIC FULL SYSTEM, (my MT-10) and read "KHIJAPAN" (me) comments about the mods on the bike.

are the throttle maps attached to rider modes, or are the grouped per gear 1&2, 3&4 and 5&6 (EVT 1,2 and 3)? best wishes, Jacques
Totally depends on what bike it is,some manufactures will restrict 5&6th & some will give reduced power in lower gears
@@jbsworkshop specifically Triumph. My understanding is that the throttle tables are in 3 pairs for the 6 gears. that said I’ve heard a separate view that the 3 throttles tables are for the 3 programmable rider modes. Bike in question is a rockect 3 gt…
Do full race pipes fail MOT's? If so, is there a loophole?
If it has for race use only or not for road use then yes officially it’s a failure,if it has no markings/baffle & isn’t ridiculously loud generally you would get an advisory
A TM 450 smk will do that today.
I don’t doubt that,my sxv450 made 69bhp back in 2008
Why use a Power Commander when the XV Tuner Cable is readily available?
Mase ngrancang ra model ngono kah ya hahahahahh guyon gak iso gak iso aku...hiburan iki aku hiburan....stres aku nek mikri terus gak iso turu....
Sir, can woolich racing save my original map before download another new map?
It depends on make & model. Some bikes you can read standard map or a previous custom woolich map,but if it’s been tune locked then it will not read it out unless you have the password to unlock it
