Star Wars Identities Walk Through at Art Science Museum Singapore 2021

Glad to have caught the last leg of the Star Wars Identities Tour when it was held here in Singapore back in 2021. The last time I saw some of the props was back in 2000 in London. Glad to be able to get right up close to the actual filming models and see all the amazing details once more. The artistry and craftsmanship that has gone into each piece of work is truly phenomenal. Pure movie magic.

@@SDI_IAHawk331 oh yes. I was following the actual screen used props. R2 was on the filming miniature of Red 3.👌😊
@@Plasticstarwars Bigss did have an R2 but it was not the same color as R2-D2. Red 3 (Biggs) had a grey and white astromech.

@Plasticstarwars Why Did u Cut the Tips, u could have bury it into the Death Star 2 to save it from cutting the SSD Tips.

@Plasticstarwars If U have a Hot Glue Gun with Low Temp like the Gorilla Hot Glue Gun, u should use it with Low Temp the hot glue dries faster.
This is great! I’ve ordered the 1/72 Harkonnen and wanted to make it a similar black. Picked up a TS14 black but think I’ll exchange it for a nato black instead! Looks great 😁😁

Beautiful work! I'm just starting the same kit, could you share details on the spec of the white LED you used to replace the default yellow? I like the idea but worry about using the wrong type of LED.

If this weren't so pricey, it'd be perfect for a crashed /wreckage diorama - with sand dunes covering part of the craft and some of it's wings sticking out of the sand at odd angles...

Nice work again and thanks as always for sharing. I miss your narration in the last videos, but I’m happy to get whatever you’re willing to share. This kit looks pretty large. Kind of wish there was something in between this one and the small one.
@@justindavisphotography Thanks Justin! I admit I’m getting a little lazy these days.😅 Doing the VO requires quite a bit more work. May try it again someday. This kit is actually a pretty good size. The fuselage is relatively small. Just that wingspan is kinda crazy.. imagine taking the width of an airliner just to carry a max load of less than 10 people.😂

So a couple questions: What are it's dimensions? What was the total cost of it? And does it come weathered like that, or did you paint it?
@@RyanByrne999 it’s 1/43 scale and 3 feet in size. The same dimensions as the filming model. Back then it was a 100 issue magazine subscription over the course of 24 months. The total cost then was around $2k. Minus the time, effort and paints you will have to put into it because it’s a kit. Sounds like a lot but it’s still at least 5 times cheaper than the Master Replicas Falcon. Having it paid in installments helps. You can Google for more info on it.👍😊

Very nice. Thinking back to the movie, the model is all wrong. In the opening scenes of the discovery, bowman is running around the inside of the front circular section. That would make the inside about 20 meter in diameter.

That's is truly awe-inspiring! I have never seen anything like it before. Outstanding work. I was thinking about the game table. I wonder if you try using the old Pepper's Ghost trick on it to show the game character pieces. Not that you need to add any more to it. But it would be a really cool, one of kind, feature for it.
