I remade the exactly you did but I got floating point exception after 62000 iteration
Did you check the meshing and timestep tuning?
any idea on how to perform condensation on a heat exchanger?
Use lee model for boilind and condensation.
hello. why did you analyze in VOF? why not in euler-euler?
As far as I know, VOF tracks the interface more precisely as compared to other method.
Can you please...upload vdo on refrigerant flow boiling (2d)
Sure I will.
Can you share the final file of the simulation
Due to busy schedule I did not upload the video. I will definitely upload the full video soon.
Sir, I have a doubt Your heat pipe in your evaporated section you have include working fluid have some water substance but I don't see this one
Amazing Video. Really helpful, I mean it
Can you make this available to download?
it's not in my hand
Why you have not given temperature at bottom heated wall
I have followed the same procedure but unable to get the volume fraction results as generated here. Its only red contours throughout :(
So am I. Have you solved it yet?
If I change the dimensions to 1mm×100mm with 25000 timesteps...and follow the same procedure...would I be able to get the same results?...please guide
why you have given the temperature as 375.15K as initial values while initializing whereas you have taken the temperature at inlet as 390K?
Yes this is what I couldn't understand
As for my knowledge is concerned that in the whole field the intial temperature was kept as 375 k while inlet temperature was 390 k and atmosphere temperature was kept as 275 k. Bottom or inlet Wall temperature is always higher than internal fluid domain temperature that's why there is difference of temperature.
Thanks for the video...what if the container is horizontal and flow is from left to right.. should we have to give gravity as -9.81m/s2 ?
If want to take care of gravitational force into account then you must have to take gravity as -9.81 m/s2.
Sir is it possible to analyze mixing of co2 gas with cold water in a pressurized vessel Suppose a vessel is in vertical shape( 400mm diameter × 1700mm height × 3mm thickness) and vessel is packed with perforated plates and we pressurized that vessel up to 100 psi and then with the help of high pressure pump, water is sprayed through nozzles from the top of vessel towards bottom. My goal is to find out how long is it take to water to pass through those perforated plates and at last how much co2 gas is mixed in water Sir can we do all these things in solidworks flow simulation or in ansys fluent
I will look into it
Thanks
Good Tutorials, Please can I have your contact
sir where did you get the parallel plate file?
Whch file you are talking about?
In the 11.30 please
Can u send me link of the paper ?
which paper you are asking for?
nice work sir!!, can you share about the use droplet deformation on simple shear flow ? thank you
very good do you have a paper related to the data you have taken
this is just a test case I have used the standard default values. If you want to do simulations with validation then you must follow any published article.
@@tech_study_bhr1463 sir i have a question I want to apply a concentration boundary condtion over a wall in a channel. Flow. Just like we apply a temperature boundary condition over a wall. How can i do it in ansys
How can we reach out to you pls?
please feel free to ask your queries If I will be able to resolve, I will be happy to do so.
Hi. It is so good. A want to ask a question? Why need to other region for initial patch set to 0 after patch region to 1 for dam region? You devide region for 4 region while after initial every cell vof set to be 0
Because if we wanted to fill a certain region with different fluid then we must have to divide the region first.
sir can you make video for the condensation of humid air for the same geometry using eulerian model(implicit)?
Sure, I will try to upload the video soon.
hi, if the rod was in conical geometry; what would it be? What would the heat transfer be like?
If it would be conical then it has the varrying cross-sectional area. Theoratically you can calculate the heat transfer with the balancing basic heat transfer equation by taking an elemental volume of the rod and integrating over the entire lengh of varrying cross section. As per my knowledge, In ansys whatever geomentry you will give it will calculate the heat tranfer between the two ends is you give the BC properly.
Greetings, Thanks for the very nice tutorial, it was very helpful for a beginner. Although, I tried replicating exactly every steps you've shown, twice, once on version 2022 R2, once on 2023 R2, and I got this result : i.imgur.com/Y0yxmQT.mp4 The liquid is like honey instead of water, I don't understand why, they must have change something that is set by default in your version. Do you have an idea what it could be ? it would help a lot please kind sir 🙏
What if we have these 3 fluids one on top of other, then how will we patch them?
Give cordinates of the patches accordingly. In all the patches lower and upper limit of x will same but the z-limit varries accordingly
Hello, I have initial concentration of CO2 released from people ,of initial concentration 40000 ppm .How to define this condition ?? in cell zone condition (source term ) or boundary condition? And how to convert unit?.
I did the same case of multiphase flow for steam turbine. But when I checked the pressure, it was negative pressure contour. Any idea or suggestions on that, Sir!
Hi, I wanted to introduce a small sand particle in the fluid zone and wanted to see how the particle interacts with the bubble. How do I proceed?
You can try DPM for this.
I have a question that I would like to ask you how to change the volume fraction of various imported media
Yes tell me, I will definitely try to answer to the best of my knowledge
why do you change the under relaxation parameters in solution control?
As far as I know Under relaxation factors are changed accordingly to get convergence if your solution is having convergence issue.
Sir, I hve a question.
How do you simulate a floating object on top of a liquid, using ansys?
For this you have to do free surface flow study. Or if you want to do study for stangnat fluid with floating body then you can floow the same tutorial with a floating body having lower density than water.
high reynold number , so why mode is laminar ???
No one UA-camr can show me how, maybe you can, please make tutor sirr😢
Please give some time time I will try to do and let you know

what did you do, you paused the video and instantly the whole tank filled with water? what was the issue in the first place? please tell.
There was no any issue. After running the simulation, I apused the recording because the simulation took too much time to fill the entire tank and it was irrelevent to record that part it will increase the video length only. So, after around 41000 steps I again restarted the recording because the tank was almost entirely filled with water at that time.
@@tech_study_bhr1463 any idea how to make the calculation faster ?

@@tech_study_bhr1463 I am a m.tech final year student. My project is on modelling of tuned liquid damper. I just want to know that how to connect a water tank over a simple structure and put earthquake data in it......can it be done in transient analysis or I have to use fluent? Can you help me out ?
@@souravmandal3638 it will not be done only by transient structural analysis(I guess you are talking about transient structural). You have to coulpe the fluent with this so that the cfd part will solved by the same and coupled with the transient structural.
@@tech_study_bhr1463 can you help me out how to do that properly? Previously I have tried to do coupled analysis but I guess it has not been done properly. can you help me out to understand how to connect a very very simple 3d building with tank over it and analyse putting a earthquake data and see water sloshing and deformation reduction. Is there air and water vapor in the cylinder or is it just water vapor in the cylinder that condenses and evaporates? Thanks!
for this simulation I have used only two phases(water and water vapor).
