I agree with your points about Godmen completely and share your perspective, but I took issue with the tone of your social media post. Referring to someone's faith as "bullshit" comes across as disrespectful. Even if we don't share the same beliefs or practices, it’s important to approach such topics with respect and kindness. Everyone has the right to their own faith, and we should express our disagreements in a more considerate manner. Doing a podcast about it is a great way but to imply that you have no right to call yourself a Hindu if you don’t share my perspective on godmen is where I took issue with your post. Only clarifying so it doesn’t come across as there being active supporters of such godmen calling you out just for speaking up. It’s great that you do but again, the only issue was with the tone of your message.

Well put, Aekam and uncle! If the guru says "Karma", the sufferer will have to take the responsibility. Nobody who is suffering would want to know they are themselves the reason and I think it's understandable. They want to hear that someone else did something to them, black magic and all ! And these gurus validate such things making societal relationships worse. People doubt each others' intentions within their families. Its kinda sad and funny, at the same time!

Respective domains of Religion and Science have exercised brilliant minds for a long time. The modern form of the debate was kicked off by CP Snow’s famous piece. The idea of the two being different magisteria was picked up by others. It is clear, however, and this podcast makes it’s even clearer, that those who argued for separation of the two were only looking above the ground at these two giant fruiting trees of science and religion. Below the ground, Syl and Aekam convincingly argue, the root systems of the two are extensively intertwined. They offer different kinds of shade to the seekers of knowledge, but their flavours overlap. Good job yet again.

As a muslim and a Pakistani i really do agree with the fact that women/girls not receiving proper education due to the culture that there is in the country( and India as far as i have seen) and Islam does really encourage women and all HUMANS to receive a good education

Must watch anyone wanting a balanced perspective on the role of religion in life. Clears many misconceptions and promotes critical thinking. A great initiative to blend faith and skepticism and to align belief with evolving values.
