Did you know that Nepal flag is the odd one out as it hasn't got the rectangle shape. It's quite rare

Remember being invited to lossie some years ago. watched the aircrew of number 12 squadron (blackburn buccaneers) being briefed for a training sorte--remember they the were the only air force allowed to fly 50ft above the sea- not my words; the squadron leader told me this. the 4 crewmen could not stand still; I felt for them nervous-- you had to be there!

I've never seen one in reality. They must be quite rare.

It's nice seeing all these places from a new angle. Most of these places I've only ever seen from on board a train. Except Brora... I once stopped the car in Brora and got out for a wander with my camcorder. Also, nice jointed track sounds at 2:45.

It sure was a great day on the Far North Line last Sunday, especially seeing two different trains (Northern Belle and the test train) It's been 11 years since I can remember the Northern Belle last been up on the Far North Line before this one last Sunday. And it's interesting to see a pair of Colas liveried HST's up on the Far North Line too.
