I love this spot because you can see so much at shallow depths with great sunlight and color - like those pygmy angelfish, I saw flame and potter's. Because it's so shallow I was able to do a few 90 minute dives there, and there's no need to rush to get anywhere, so I could take 5+ minutes on one wire coral goby and got some photos of it actually in focus. I also love that this spot is kind of sheltered so it's often calm even in the afternoon, with easy entry and exit. My favorite shore dive spot in the world so far.

This is such a very motivational video I really enjoy hearing your side of the story of how you became a marine biologist and it’s insane and interesting to hear other people’s stories and they all have different backgrounds of how they become marine biologist themselves. For me as someone who is also trying to get into marine biology I am more looking forward to the adventures and the future I’ll see once I’ve really gone through my side of my journey to be a marine biologist not only am I excited for working with the ocean but working in a lab and discovering new things. I understand it’s not an easy way but I am here for the roller coaster of my adventures to begin. ❤🎉 🥼 👨🏻‍🔬

This is where we went the week after we met you, back in March 2020! We were spending the last 5 days of our Maui visit in Lahaina to see shows and galleries, but hearing from our friends back in Seattle what was going on with covid we dropped all those plans and spent the week doing mostly solitary outdoor activities, including two days snorkeling at Honolua Bay, which was amazing! Now I can't believe I'd been to Maui 5 times before then and never snorkeled there before. We did not try diving at Honolua - Ceila wasn't certified yet. I did do a couple of shore dives at Airport beach that week with Extended Horizons while she snorkeled there. Exciting that you saw almaco jacks and an undulated moray while snorkeling! Thanks for putting those in the video. And that pair of boxfish in the scuba portion are the most adorable thing ever! I think our most exciting find when we snorkeled at Honolua was a juvenile blackstripe coris.

Consider doing a shout out for advertisement. Those commercials are horrendous. What do you make like 50 cents a month from commercials... have videos for local businesses and plug them. There's more of a chance of me using one of your locals than me ever buying something from a commercial

I'm not a scuba person but I LOVE snorkeling. We (three of us) snorkeled this area back in 2019 and swam all the way out the reef to where the boats drop snorkelers. I'm a good swimmer and snorkeling is my thing, but I have to admit when I noticed the drop off on both sides (as I got way out) I got a bit unnerved wondering, "what's out there looking up at me?" so I swam back and got out. Felt like the sandy bottom on either side of the peninsula reef was at least 40' foot deep. Probably a bit too far out for a snorkeler who wasn't part of a boating group. It was definitely an adventure I won't forget! Your video brought back all those wonderful memories. Thanks!

If you go during whale season (November through April) you will see a lot of whales as well! Highly recommend doing this!
