The Golden Age of Brickfilms
Переглядів 4216 місяців тому
Hi. I'm gonna tell you why Lego animations were special in 2006-12, despite not being as flashy as today's 'brickfilms'. I also go over my own experiences with watching as well as creating brickfilms. I hope this vid opens some memory lanes in your head or if you weren't around back then, that you get an idea what it was like. Videos shown. Not in any particular order, most of the time. ua-cam....
Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean Out Of Context

I got a comment from @mrvgsdoesstuff , who suggested it and I started thinking about it more. The views on the other 'out of context' videos have also gotten a big surge of views out of nowhere and I thought that now was the time. Cutscenes's origin: ua-cam.com/video/RQZQxegGqnk/v-deo.html LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is a video game by TT games. Released in 2011.

So, I had only recorded like 15 sec clips of my first playthrough so I didn't have enough of footage. So at the start of this project I was like maybe use someone else's footage so I did, but after that I just replayed the levels and recorded more. Lego Indiana Jones 2 With No Context
1:56 always loved this cutscene. The facial expression of “I DIDNT DIE” on Anakin’s face with R2 just busting ass out of the wreckage is a classic.
I have a problem that its crashing
non talking lego is the best thing.
2:20 what was that clone commanders name?
Fil
This was the best Lego game of all time and I am confident in that statement
Of course the Padawana are giggling about the chad clones.
I wanna know why this game used the original clone chest pieces instead of the clone wars ones for the normal clones in cutscenes
The clones seem unprofessional until you remember that that majority are barely ten years old when this war starts.

I always wondered why they never made another game covering the rest of the show. I guess it gets too dark.

I’ve beaten the game multiple times, but seeing some of these clips without context just totally elevates the scene to another level 😂 My favorite is Anakin presumably killing Padme 😂😭
1:23 2014 IS ONLY FOUR MONTHS AWAY
It seems to highlight the distinction between instant gratification and long-term satisfaction. Maybe it's best to do both. Work on developing a skill until it starts to get frustrating then play a game to blow off steam. Then when you start to feel a bit guilty, take another crack at that skill you've been working on. Eventually you don't even want to play the game anymore because you're good enough at your skill that it's more fun and rewarding.
I agree. We need time for chilling and leisure for sure. But if I find a game, I really enjoy, it very easily gets the front seat in my life. I guess it depends how much you enjoy games. If you enjoy it a little too much, (think about playing it a lot). Then having a balance can get so tricky, that you're better off just taking a step back from gaming entirely.
This is why I dont play mainstream. Especially not shooters. I instead play strategy and/or story focused games and 95/100 times singleplayer. Experience over mindless fun. I also rarely keep playing a single game for more than a week, with very rare exceptions (Limbus Company).
This guy knows
so far each games I played had teach me a lesson. Game like minecraft and barotrauma give me hours of adventure with my friend but I soon realize that after those hours of travelling, going back to base really warm my heart, setting up inventory and build new building with all the material we gathered through our trip. So I learnt that after hour of studying or working, home can heal back all of those tiredness and depression. Game that is considered worse like league of legend taught me to actually plan for future move and autopilot would just end up losing, like when I'm studying without a proper plan, I ended up wasting 1 hour just for a single page. If I had have a plan, working for 25 minutes for a page and get a 5 minutes rest, I would have finish 2 page with the same amount of time and correct my mistake right after. Finally is Genshin or any hoyo game, the community is undoubtfully garbage at this point. Some twitter post insulting my characters really boiled my blood but my friend told me to not care. So I blocked every youtube channel which cover the topic and still play my favorite character. So I learn to not give a shit about other people negative opinion. Of course that's something I learnt through GAMING and not just PLAYING video games. I consider the content of the game that the author want to deliver is what I would learn from PLAYING the game, like in barotrauma they taught me about the reaction between sodium and water(in the rough way) or bullets are made from lead while the gun powder is made from magnesium. Genshin talked a lot about caring and friendship so I don't have to make it long. Conclusion: Video games can be healthy and fun if we actually try to learn from them. Of course it's not an excuse to play it 12 hours a day but if we can balance the time, we can learn a lot of things out of them that might even be more practical in things school teach us.
True. Video games have taught me to look at things in new ways. Such as strategizing and keeping different variables in mind to make the best decisions, like you mentioned with LoL. Worth remembering however, is that lessons can be found everywhere. I think the lessons we learn in real life have much more lasting effect than the ones we get from games. But I won't deny that video games can be an useful tool for learning different things.
how the fuck do I remember every single clip, this was yearsss ago. also playing the first 2 missions like 200 times because I used to have no memory card lol
bro took me back

2:03 Does Satine know about this? I know she wasn’t created until Season 2 but THIS is a Twi’lek kissing a Jedi before Hera and Kanan from Rebels!
