Is the 2025 Tracer 9 coming in the Y-AMT?
Yamaha used to be my favorite brand in the 70's and 80's. With no FJ 1300 in the line up they have nothing of interest.
I'm sooo tired of the "Sons of Anarchy" looking bikes...you don't need a "cruiser" to cruise...
Where's the New VMAX that's all over social media and UA-cam😂😂😂😂😂
WR300R?
Still no WR450 dual sport.
Sorry yammy,RIP....
I’ve always been a function over form guy, but even with that mindset Yamaha is getting out of control with the ugly button. FFS
Your sources on line are incorrect
Harley nightster has better accessory packages available, I would like to see Indians Springfield classic bike, do away with the pale yellow looking gauge facias and do a black and white or color match to paint, Tour master still gets a 5.5 gallon tank, a 6 to 6.5 gallon tank would be more equivalent to a Harley Road & street glide, So I will keep my Harley Road Glide.
What an exciting video! NOT!
Xt 250 looks like it’s Chinese 😂
Unfortunately bikes are way to expensive now, I’m in Australia and a ktm 300 is $17000 that’s a lot of money to drag down a mountain lol
I find it interesting that in the touring category they only have the Tracer 9 for significantly less money that last years GT+. If I understand correctly, last years version has the fancy electronically adjustable suspension, radar cruise control and whatnot. Could this be because they have a significant inventory of unsold 2024 machines? I live in Alberta Canada and my local Yamaha dealers don't seem to have many of the Tracers sitting on their showroom floors. There are two Harley dealers here and one of them is sitting on a rather large inventory of very expensive 2023 and 2024 models. I'm retired and during the summer I do 300 km trips for lunch once or twice a week. The only Japanese touring bikes I regularly see in the wild are Goldwings. Otherwise at least %50 of what I see are the large HD touring models. Perhaps I'm getting a skewed picture of bike ownership though. The majority of bike owners probably have jobs and don't have the luxury of riding hundreds of kilometers for a soup and sandwich on a Tuesday. What I see on the highways may not match up with what is sitting in peoples garages.
True, it may not. But, in the US (at least in the SW) about all I see on the roads are the big HD cruisers as well. In Phoenix, it's about 70% HD's and 30% sport crotch rockets. On rare occasions I'll see some sort of dual-sport, or GS. I don't know about the rest of the US with respect to bike choice, but I suspect that it's just about as monolithic as Phoenix. Kind of sad really. I get upset sometimes when I see how many bikes Europe gets compared to the US, but I can also see perhaps why the manufacturers discontinue models that just don't sell very well here. A shame really. We also don't have any general publicly accessible motorcycle trade show, like EICMA, or Motorcycle Live.
@@michaelskinner896 I read somewhere that Europeans buy a little under 3 million motorcycles a year, Americans under 600,000 a year and Canadians under 60,000 a year. I understand why a manufacturer would choose not to import all their models to Canada when they would only sell a few of the less popular machines. Here it's very common for new bikes from the previous two model years to sit on showroom floors unsold from when they arrived in the country. I do think that our roads are better suited to the large touring machines than most other places in the world so I get why they are so popular. The eight or nine hundred pound touring machine is definitely a North American thing.
@@jimbroen True that! I didn't realize that Canada's take rate was only about 60K. I would've thought it was much more than that. Interesting. Maybe the shorter riding season?
@@michaelskinner896 With 10% of America's population, Canadians buy about 10% as many new motorcycles. Like the US, I would venture that most Canadian motorcycle purchases are for recreational purposes. I know several people who own machines that are rarely ridden. The weather doesn't help.
@@jimbroen Yes, that makes sense
I sure wish Yamaha would offer a 450 supermoto using the WR 450 chassis and engine, it would be the best selling bike on the market, but for some reason they won't come out with one!
I own a 22 KLX 300 SM and I like the looks and stance of the bike but I am not to impressed with the 25 models they don't look like a super moto should. Kawasaki should just keep the older look and upgrade the suspension and the display like adding what gear you are in and a blinking light for low fuel not the word "fuel" blinking over the trip miles you have traveled , another words just redesign the whole gauge display.
Except for the off road line, those are some U G L Y looking motorcycles.
Gone are the clean lines of the '03 Z1000 and the '09 FZ6 S2 (non R). Even my Versys X gets lauded comments on its looks. The new bikes: so many hoses and wires, previously my complaint with Suzuki. The MT 7 and 9 look unfinished. There's no excuse. Even the R9 is like eww!!! 3.4 gallons? Light goes on in 90 miles. My 300X goes THREE HUNDRED MILES. You think these bikes look bad now? Wait a year and have a look at their rotted pot metal exhausts!
Agreed. Most of those were truly ugly.
All boring bikes, just like Harley. The baby boomers about all dead or too old to ride. Make soon new modern adventure touring motorcycles instead of these old dinosaurs
If this is the 2025 release I wouldn’t go near an Indian heavyweight until the ‘26 MY or you’ll be kicking yourself. The Challenger is over due for a bump in displacement as are all the Thunderstroke bikes. Ride Command is definitely getting long in the tooth as are all the imbedded LCD displays in the gauges. A major refresh of the heavyweights is coming if they intend to stay competitive. Heck BMW has been running a 10” TFT since 2020 and Harley finally jumped on their touring class bikes as well.
I wish Yamaha wouldn't have dropped The Raider from its production line-up. I know three guys who own Raiders. One being a guy who owns a Harley too. They love 'em!
DANG! Most of these street bikes are just plain butt ugly !!!
The loss of the STen 1200 has been a big deal in Europe for 2 years. It was a legendary tourer ( as was the FJ 13). I suspect the Euro 5 compliance is to blame sadly. The R1 is sadly gone here too. Sad times.
What no one seems to realize is that people no longer ride because it's too expensive. I used to be able to get a good size bike for cheap to get started. And a fully dressed touring bike for less than a cheap car. Now, a starter bike is a mini moto, and a touring bike costs more than a Cadillac.
They need to reintroduce the ninja 300.
Bro, if you put on a slight Canadian accent, you would sound just like Jordan Peterson.
If Yamaha wants me to buy a new bike they need to put a button on the YZ250X!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice job Phil ! I Love my 22 FJR. I am really disappointed they discontinued it. Recently rode the tracer at a demo day and it is no FJR. I rode the Super Tenere also and I prefer that over the tracer as well. The XSR 900 was a blast to ride. That bike really surprised me.
The H2 SX SE is supercharged.
I love the more aggressive stance of the Scout, I wish they would apply that to the Chief.
Small mistake at 6:25, the YZ450FX has a 5-speed transmission, not 6. (but different from the MX version as it's a wide-ratio, same as the WR450F)
Yamaha, PLEASE bring back the T-MAX scooter to North America. If we did something to make you mad, Were SORRY.
Yamaha is selling hundreds of thousands if not millions of scooters in Asia. Their really popular. Where Kawasaki seems to ignore the market and Suzuki has a few. It's 90% Honda/Yamaha scooters here in Thailand. I think a tracer 7 would do well.
I’m not in the market for a new MC at this time, but unfortunately, there’s quite literally nothing in the Yamaha line that interests me.
Yamaha is getting out of sleds too I guess they are focusing on the marine business
Damn. Motorcycles got dull and ugly.
In Europe there is also a Tracer 700 Rally and a 700 Low .
I prefer to watch travel videos in 4k on a 75” tv. Your video has terrible compression artifacts.
Bland looking lineup. Great bikes all but they have no Snap in their appearance
Gone are the clean lines of the '03 Z1000 and the '09 FZ6 S2 (non R). Even my Versys X gets lauded comments on its looks. The new bikes: so many hoses and wires, previously my complaint with Suzuki. With its larger engine and forward controls would the scout not be more comparable to the sportster S?
I’ve got an XT250, a T7 and so glad I bought an FRJ during 2024 because there is talk every year it will go away.
amazing how prices go up income goes down in America
$4000. Price reduction on the Tracer 9! That’s allot! Previous owners just got a big depreciation hit! That triple engine is fantastic!
That's because the old versions were Tracer 9 GT or GT+ with more options on them than this more basic Tracer 9. In the US, we did not get the tracer 9 before, only the GT and GT+- I know because I was considering one, but the GT+ that I could get was pricier than the Tiger 900GT. I ended up buying the Tiger 900 GT instead, but always liked the Tracer a bit better, but it was about 2K more. My tiger already has heated grips though.
I would LOVE to see a new Star Venture TC with the V-4 engine from the V-Max.
Come on Yamaha wake up and give us a WR400R! Kawasaki and Honda both have a 300, Suzuki even has come out with an updated DR400 yet the WRR is nowhere to be found?
this ai channels are a plague, google, end this shit
@@Sustrii Wait, you think the 8-10 hours I put into making this video was done by AI? Well aren’t you special….
@@cruisinwithphil2:23 "front wheel now has disc brakes" the tt-r 125l has that set up since day one (year 2000) maybe with 20 hours of research will be less mistakes like that one
@@Sustrii Wasn't a mistake. What I meant was that in comparison to the other trail bikes I had discussed so far that have drum brakes in the front, this one has disc. It wasn't intended to indicate a change on that particular bike, but a comparison with the bikes already discussed.
@@cruisinwithphil Definitely done with Phil with a Pulse.
I really appreciate that they are still making things like the ttr125 the same as they have for the last 25 years or so. Good quality bikes perfect as they are
I have been a Yamaha die hard for 50 years and currently have a 2020 star venture and love it. It’s time to trade it in but I guess it’s going to be a Honda,Yamaha is making less and less product every year
Seems like they forgot about us.....
You don't have to guess, you obviously already know!
Real shame about the FJR1300.
