Looking back at this yes please ignore the huge run numbering mistakes I have made. This was back then when I first got into trainspotting and this is the first time I went out for just freights in general so I was a bit dumb.

106 has always sounded like this- just gotten louder over the years. Its perfectly fine - the engine does have its own particular groan, but that is mostly down to the AC compressor/belts/fan housing/age. It is loud for a CoachAir system though.

Nice video. Some corrections/comments: Diamond #41 was never rebodied but has had substantial changes made, including a refront, new allison auto transmission & new seats. The Invicta Scania is owned by Michael Lancaster, and is possibly the only intact example of one of these! Moonee Valley Coaches #61 is an integral build. Austral Denning Highlanders were the integrals whereas Majestics were the same body with a different chassis underneath. Likewise, being a tourmaster, #57 is an integral build so there’s no “bodywork” necessarily, it’s one unit. Likewise with Driver #57 being an integral MCA build.

I used to work in ops at Wyndham a few years ago... 1 - W10 is usually used on a particular block in the am, and pm. Typically school runs. It may help out after around Werribee if needed. 2 - The "fasten seatbelt" announcement is new since leaving. 3 - W10 is strictly a 57 seater. There are no stanchions provided for standing passengers. 4 -The transmission is actually a B400R5. 5 - I miss driving W10! 6 - Good vid!

The camera shutter noise wasn't annoying at all btw. That railcar is possibly the worst ride on a railed vehicle comfort-wise I've ever been on. They seriously need to upgrade the seats from wooden benches and make the suspension actually "suspension"! It's a picturesque ride for sure, but take a cushion. The route would have to be the most beautiful in the state of WA - this video doesn't do it justice. Comfort-wise, take the free entire island bus. Historically, this island is very significant in that it's been a prison (for both black and white offenders - even though the woke agenda cries tears of blood saying it was just for Aboriginals), it was also the holiday residence of WA Governors, during world war II it was a garrison fort and the army infrastructure still exists in the form of admin and camp buildings, the railway total infrastructure and the only remaining in-situ "big guns" in the southern hemisphere located on Oliver Hill. It was Perth's defence fort . There's so much more - as well as being a truly beautiful geographical location. Any visitors to WA shouldn't miss visiting Rottnest Island. By all means, take the train ride to Oliver Hill and the free tour of the fort with a cushion for your bottom, but don't miss the free bus tour of the island. Perth people love Rottnest - it holds a special place in our hearts. Thanks for putting this video up.

Good video of a line I hadn't heard of before but please go into your camera's setting and turn off the shutter sound while you're shooting video, it's pretty annoying.
