(001) Lockpicking 101: A Very Basic Beginners Guide on How To Pick A Lock.
Very true. Great video! Thanks for sharing! 😍
@@LadyLocks thank you very much for watching!
Very cool! Thanks for the video man Where can I get one in SC1? As a locksmith myself I’ve come to appreciate history of locks and started collecting too! Haven’t seen it listed with any of my suppliers
@@yuriysivyy1502 where are you located? The SC1 is what is available in the US. We don't have the Y1 here as far as I know.
@@BiggCattPicking I’m in US but for some reason the pics on Amazon show as Y1 that’s why I thought they’d ship Y1 to me.
@yuriysivyy1502 I believe those are just the standard marketing pictures. Stateside, you should receive the SC1. If you order it and get the Y1, shoot me a message and I'll buy it from you so you can get an SC1 lol.
One of my favorite locks!
Great work! Congrats on the open! 🎉❤❤
Thank you!
The one I have is all serrated with no spools. Kicking my butt. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching! That sounds like a pain lol. Those serrated pins can be tough. Have you tried progressive pinning?
New here Welcome to locksport! Subscribed! Well done Stay well
Thank you got watching!
Thank you very much!
You're welcome! I hope something from this video helps you get your first ML410 open.
@@BiggCattPicking yes! So light tension is key. Light pressure on the pin setting, also ?
A very important piece I forgot to mention... A VICE! They're not 100% necessary, but will REEEEEALLLLLYYY assist you with learning security pins or lock cylinders under heavy spring tension.
Guys, I misspoke in this video. The disassembly and reassembly CAN be in a separate video at this level. My apologies.
Nicely done.
@@marqueA2 thank you very much
It’s part hobby and part practical for me. It’s work in the oil and gas industry and if I a dollar for every lock that had a lost key or combination I’d be rich.
Same here in regard to the part hobby part practical.
Damn!! Dropping the videos today! Great video. I’m looking into getting a vice. Any recommendations?
Work work work! Getting back into my groove! Thank you for watching!
Nice pick man
Thank you very much! 🤙
@@BiggCattPicking your welcome man
Ayy nice video! So I’m still stuck on that 570 myself and I want to see if you have the same problem with spool pins, because when I’m trying to rake, I will get a false set and that just freezes that pin and my pick making everything stuck. Is that just my poor tension control or do you get that problem as well?
@ryanmarrara3912 try pulsing your tension. Dead cores can be tricky even without security pins. If your pins bins, try gently rocking instead of raking. I've raked a Master Lock 150 that would do the same thing and the pins binding is what would tell me when to rock instead of scrub.. Keep after it man you'll have it in no time!
Good video. Now I'm curious on what pins are inside. I'll have to pick one up for myself. Thanks.😊
@AmericanPicker83 Thank you! I'm curious myself. I'm currently ranked as a green belt so I have SOME experience with security pins, but I just couldn't get a good feel for this particular lock.
@@BiggCattPicking LockpickingDev has a video where he takes one apart. All standard pins. Good call on saying you didn't feel security pins. You were right on 👍
Nice pick man
Thank you for watching!
You found the spot. Finally. 😅
Facts
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for watching!
I edge to this. 👌
Well... I did lube the lock beforehand...
Just throwing it out there HPC makes a nice S rake. Takes a bit of time to finish it but man is it one slick snake. Ken Peterson can keep his high prices to those that do not know where to get em half off. Its ludicrous what he charges. Overall good video dude.
Yeah I don't disagree. The Peterson is just what I had handy. And thank you for watching!
Hey man I have a question. I’m a beginner and I have a master 570 I’ve been really trying to pop but it seems like no matter what I do there’s always 2 pins, I believe 4 and 5, that just won’t bind. Should I take as many pins as I can and then try to hook the last few? Any advice helps.
How are you trying to pick it? I've only raked one of those.
@@BiggCattPicking so I have that beginners set from sparrows which includes a “city” rake, and a triple peak rake.
@ryanmarrara3912 I misspoke earlier it was the master 530 that I picked. So I've never personally had success with a city rake. The triple is usually easier for me. That being said, the 570 may be using security pins. That does not mean its IMPOSSIBLE rake but it's going to be highly unlikely.
@ryanmarrara3912 the reason those pins wont set is it most likely has a specific binding order.
Check this out man. This would probably be a better place to start. ua-cam.com/video/P24XIoC51z0/v-deo.html
great video homie
Thanks man
Hell yeah!
