didn't know you still had the crv. I am about to slam mines in a few weeks
How's it sound from inside the cab? Any drone or highway our about town?
@@ravnvolk it’s actually really quiet honestly even under load it’s quiet you get the performance without to much noise it’s the perfect daily exhaust
@streetcivic09 right on, that's exactly what I'm looking for. I don't want rasp, love the deeper tones. Appreciate the reply!
Oh! One more Q, did you do it yourself? I understand they aren't difficult to DIY.
Yes it’s really simple and unless you’re lowered you don’t have to jack up up to change it out I just crawled underneath it a good breaker bar, impact and a 14mm socket and wrench and some pliers are all you need
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥‼️
Put your phone down while driving
Shouldve taken the baffle off and leave the oem intake. Trust me bro. The baffle on the oem intake is specifically designed to quiten the intake. The noise from an untuned cheap intake is identical to the noise from most unbaffled intakes and you dont ruin the car. I know because i used a cheap ass 45$ intake on my mazda AFTER having removed the baffle and running the oem for awhile. Identical sound. Also, better hope you kept the original. I know.
clean, planning to do a resonator delete and apex n1 muffler soon
I just took it up and had 2.5” piping put on and ran a resonator and a greddy rs on it and it sounds a lot better
I had the exact same problem. Its the clutch pulley on the alternator.
Those gauges, where they from? Theyre not OEM are they?
They are the factory gauges
Oh wow, I have an 07 Versa SL and the gauges are bright orange lol. Was wondering why yours look different from mine.
sounds like bad alternator
I am having the same problem and my machine is no help he keep telling me its the belt
Old vid bro but where did u get the throttle tuner? How do u connect it?
I bought it from weapon r they’re sometimes hard to find. It connects to the ob2 port and the pedal sensor
Does the check engine light come on after installation or is that something else 😂
Did you ever have a problem with the engine? Mine has 165,000 miles and the engine has a small ticking sound. A lot of people say nissan 4 cylinders are common for making a ticking sound. The engine doesn't burn any oil or anything.
The tick is the notorious mr engine tick unfortunately it happens to then all in higher mileage. I just used a little Lucas or a heavier weight oil
Did you find out what it was?
nice video, whats the name of your facebook group? i have a stock nissan latio and i dont really like how the engine sound.
Cool bro, I'm from Brazil and I wonder if u got some power with the sports exhaust system?
Actually lost power deleting both cats and resonator. Having at least one cat or a resonator will help
still sounds a bit ricey
i might consider trading oem alloy wheels get back 2 me
where do you get your performance parts?
+Richard Cardenas i bought most of it from stillen's website and the rest from ebay.
+Matthew .Crowder I've been reading a lot of stuff saying not to buy from Ebay, are there other options you recommend?
as long as youre buying actual name brand stuff ebay is fine dude. dont go by what everyone else says. i mean if you order straight from the manufacture youre going to pay more for it. check out our group on facebook called versa tiida owners theres always people swapping and selling parts.
Matthew .Crowder True, any brand that you feel caters to Nissan cars than other brands? Yeah I'll definitely check it out, I'm looking forward to getting my versa tuned up.
Dc sports makes a header/intake/strut bar/catback
where do you get your mods from ? I have a 13 sedan and I can't find shit
+junior81810 ebay.....versaspeed.......stillen
where did u order your front lip from?? thanks in advance
+David Johnson i bought it directly from stillen
I have 17s Toyo tires and matte drag rims. looks totally badass.
+Austin Valdez Bet it looks pretty good, any future mods planned?
Who am I ? Jesus Christ? I can't turn off the wind.
I would never buy a Versa, or at least never plan to do this to a Versa. But props for doing it right. Solid first mods, done well and not flashy, just the right touch. And a good walk through too, good explanation and highlights without sounding like the douchebag that too many do
what modifications do you have on your versa
+luis moreno dc sports cold air intake obx header custom 1 piece stillen 2.5" dowpipe back weapon r throttle tuner jet performance maf sensor stillen front lip sl sport rear bumper mb 5x 17x7 rims
Well for starters if you actually listened in the video I mentioned a bad exhaust leak which also means I'm loosing pressure and it was constantly throwing off air to fuel mixtures. Secondly I was doing an up hill pull. Thirdly it's an automatic. Lastly I could give 2 shits and a flying fuck less what you think about it.
Cute car
nice! wish my versa was manual trans :(
+Carlos Ramos mines the 4 speed auto
Honestly did the maf really help
+Tanner Moore yes butbarely its not tuned for an aftermarket intake
@@streetcivic09 after installing jet maf sensor and throttle tuner are you able to run with maximas?
Cedric Miller never really tried man is say probably not lol. The mods that I did to the car deff made it a lot more responsive and quicker I was eating up other 4 cylinders and hanging with others but I did t get to run it often
@@streetcivic09 thanks for responding back and ok sounds like the jet maf sensor increases air flow enough to beat similar equal sized engines putting one in my 03 maxima so i can dust coworkers 2011 maxima!!! Lol ordering mines this week
Cedric Miller I work for Nissan man I’m telling you get some of the hr heads and port them out and put titanium valve springs in them and run .5mm oversized valves on the exhaust side and tune it with a pop charger intake system and port your stock manifold and you won’t regret it
What's the mod market like for the Versa? I'm looking around for a car because I need to get rid of my mustang. (No room in the back for a car seat). I'm looking for something cheap and 4 door. I just want to know if a versa is worth modding. Not talking down on the car or nothing. I just need a family car I can tune lol
+Joseph Edwards on the first generation 06 - 12 hatchback theres a pretty good selection of mods out there its just all depends on what you want some of the stuf ive done or have done has been custom mostly. theres limited headers and exhaust system available. what year do you have?
You most likely just lost horse power by losing back pressure. you have to use a exhaust calculator, to figure out how big to go. I can guarantee its less than 2.25, I would stick with the 2 inch stock exhaust pipe.
+John Dobson i didnt lose anything until i changed out the header, that was a huge mistake. no cats 1 piece catback all the way back to a stillen muffler. to loud and it killed the low end but it picks up more on the higher end.
May I know how much will cost me if want a greddy rs exhaust on my versa s?
Steven Esperanzate This was a custom made axleback all i did was bought a greddy rs muffler for $160 and had it installed for $30 so around $200
I have a 2015 versa sv and I wanted to know if I could y split my exhaust and where can I get the best cool air intake for it?
Khem Raad not sure where youd split it or why youd want to but i have hatch so its ran differently but injen majes a intake system for the newer versas
joe stay away from thrush on your versa it will sound like dog shit, send a few dollars more and just buy a dc sports muffler.
Im about to do my exhaust just a 2inch pipe from the cat to a thrush performance muffler Balling on a budget here haha Also putting some lowering springs on and getting new wheels. I looked into the intake but i know if ill be able to do that myself
It threw a sea code trust me the problems I'm having from taking the cats off I don't recommend doing it. Just slap the dc header on and a good cat back and call it even cause the noise , fumes and ses light aren't worth the headache
But it's a auto lol how cute
***** well when vou have a lower spinal injury and you clutch leg cant function properly or at all at times you work with what you can.
Damn no I feel bad fuck
I used to drive stick all the time trust me id give anything to be able to drive stick again. its all good lol
It would be hard to go back to auto
My first car was an accord then i had a probe gt and a 240 but after i wrecked the altima i had by hitting a tree my clutch days were over. Even today i rest my hand on the shifter lol
Garry im running catless right now
+GearheadLs7 yeah it threm a cat and o2 code. can try using bypasses to see if you can get around it. id keep atleast one on there
its a damn automatic!!
Did you put on the actual arm intake system or just a drop in filter? Also stay away from obx headers they are junk get the dc sports. And keep your cats on the Versa doesn't like running no cats it fucks with it's back pressure and it runs awful not to mention it gets stupid loud. As for a throttle tuner go with weapon r or ntd.
This was also when I had a golf ball sized hole I. The flex pipe
1-rear spoiler 2-less noise exhaust For the rest actually looks pretty impresive :3
never really intended it to be so loud after the first of the year its getting a new motor and trans and completely new exhaust set up
really!? thats sound awesome dude! :3
+SpikerDragon95 trying to go back more to a sleeper look mainly because im trying to do a custom supercharger setup
What size tires are you running? I'm about to lower mine 1.9" drop on 205/55/16
honestly cant remember i havent had that car in about 5 years
What year was your Versa? The online stores contradict each other whether the DC-CAI1207 fits the Versa 2011
went thru the same crap with mine it will work. check out ebay they sell the dc sports cai for as low as $155 ive seen on there. just a warning if you live in an area prone to flooding stay away from a cai trust me
still building your versa? I have a secret weapon R intake and it sound sLOud compared to you and it's just an intake. I want to get a header but its a bit expensive dunno if its worth it.
+bailey green hey dude youre on the vto group on facebook by now haha.
What year engine and mileage is on your Versa?
When. I hit the gas it makes a weird noise I don't know if it's the belt... Can you help
It could be the idler pulley does it make loud/ to less loud noise? When always accelarating?
Yes it has the dc sports cold air
bailey green aftermarket wheels = no tpms sensors dubmass but please do tell us more about how you know it all oh great and wise youtubber
You got an intake on your V?
yes dcsports
Do you know if it fucks up when you hit a dip of water?
as long as you dont nose dive the fucker in water your good to go. plus i used a pop charger filter after this one sat higher up so lower risk.
You said some thing about a motor swap? Would that be with a sentra 2.5l by chance?
no i was talking about the sentra mr20de 2.0 its identical to the mr18 thats already in the versa just has a different bore parts are interchangeable between the 2 such as header and other parts.
Thanks for the info! it is helpful.
+NewWorld323 a qr25 swap is doable just need all the proper hardware (wiring harness, mounts, exhaust) just some fab work and custom parts. a guy on the versa forums is doing a awd juke swap in his versa
