I'm staining a large table top with Saman stain (canadian maple is the stain) and I have been trying it on the underside of the table top (54" by 28") and I definitely am having trouble. I apply it by hand with a sponge tool and I definitely get a difference get lapping where the two areas of application run together. I've not cut the stain with water, is this the issue? Thanks for a useful video.

I have painted a table using chalk paint and I want to seal it now and make it more durable by using an oil based varnish (polyurethane) How long should I let the chalk paint dry for, before applying the varnish ? thank you

Thanks for the video. I have one quick question. I plan using Saman to stain some accent wall panels that are already attached (vertical). If I use HVLP sprayer to apply both stain and varnish, is there a risk that varnish will run before it dries? Have you had experience spraying this on vertically attached pieced? thanks in advance

Question: I was looking at Saman line both online and for their wb indoor varnish there is no sealer - they say you apply the varnish straight onto the wood. What sealer are you guys using?

Tara: Wear gloves. Tara - wipes it on without gloves =))

So Saman has no wood sealer like Bona? Did you ever spray on wood any Bona wb finishes? Thanks for the series: new to this, learning and absorbing info like a sponge.

You always want to wear a mask no matter what you spray. Atomization gets things so fine that they stay suspended in the air long enough to be sucked into the lungs.
