Sounds like something that should have been released on sub pop in the mid 1980's (as one of the go nowhere bands), no wonder why this didn't sell in 2001. I'd be pissed if I bought this at the time. It's been said before but the absolute lack of vocal control holds back any potential that the band has, and even if he was better at singing, this has all been done much better before. Great work with finding the album though, it's still a blast to listen to, but they totally bombed and it's no surprise that they didn't blow up

This album is better than I imagined. Like seriously good. Luke had a voice for sure. We will never know what would have turned out for the band if Luke hadn't had the mental collapse-alooza. I think they would have gotten big. For 2001, and post-grunge.. this album is really good. N now it will live in infamy.. even fucking better. -Peace, love, pipebombzz
There is some major survivorship bias at work here. For every album like this that gets revealed because a musician did something infamous, there are 100,000 better albums that no one will ever hear. No chance that this band would have made it with all the competition from thousands of other unknown bands.

@@em7dim9 I don't think so. I think this band for the time was actually better than the nameless "100,000" other bands ur talking about. I was aware of his band for a long time, thought it was gonna be shitty aF. I was actually shocked at how good it is. It has nothing to do with him being infamous. If he was just a guy in my college class and said he was in a band, and whatever.. I pry would have been just as dismissive and indifferent, n then would have been just as shocked upon hearing it.
Relative and Tang are bands that were made by the same label as Sacks of People (last minute records), and their sound is a thousand better than this. I'm pretty sure you haven't heard of them because they didn't got the attention this album did, and mostly became lost media

Almost wish it remained a mystery, but this band has an explosive way of creating hype for itself! :)
I posted a comment on here two months ago, completely ecstatic that the album was found. I've let that ecstatic feeling wither away and I've realised that there's only five tracks on this album that I really like and have played more than once. Those tracks in particular being Black and Back, Conformity, Picket Corpse, Fawn & Djembe. Aside from that, I am gonna have to agree with what someone else said, it is actually kinda mid. It isn't the worst, to me at least, otherwise I wouldn't have it on my phone.
Real talk this is kinda mid but I just don't get how we didn't find this earlier. People owned CDs, so how did nobody upload this earlier?
I agree, this album is very mid but the reason for the lost media is because the CD's were made in very few quantities and the people who had it did not upload them most likely because it would've lost it's value (lol)

it wasnt uploaded nearly as quick because not many people were interested in the album until luke helder began his bombing spree so there was a good few copies returned to apathy
