2023 Cali Love Tour
Put this together last fall, had some changes I wanted to make then many months later I figured I should just throw it up. Legendary snow-pack year for California, with most of the high-sierra runs going 2-3 months later than normal. Made for a lot of waiting around for levels to drop but also so many epic crews to boat with and plenty of water. First half of the summer was the best month+ of kayaking I ever had before I dislocated my shoulder a few days after Royal Gorge. Spent the rest of the summer shuttling and videoing the boys and it was still all-time. Thankful for every minute in the Sierras even when my shoulder was in a sling. You simply can't beat the quality of life on the road out there.

River levels rose the week of the Ldub race this year so organizers decided to ban longboats. Isaac, you are an artist of your craft.Your relaxed form and seemingly effortless style make what was once thought to be"unrunnable_ look easy. That's the definition of craft mastery. We ran portions of Icicle and Tumwater in the late 80's and 90's, but never ran Exit, for instance, and probably not that section of Icicle, don't recall. I'm from Chapel Hill originally and live in the PDX area now. Are you done at V Tech yet? My nephew applied to VT engineering but settled for NCSU. Now that he's married Dane's videos will likely be more regional and taper off, so keep us apprised of your adventures!
