Happy birthday Vinny🎂 another year closer to madness😉😉🤣 We love Aldeburgh. Another great vlog from you guys👍
Loved the soundtrack this week. Happy birthday Vinny welcome to the 51 club!
Thanks mate. Duran Duran classic music. Thank you for watching and commenting. 51 club, thanks for the invite (can I reject 🤣)
@@Travellingtravins yes as I will be 52 next week so I will form a new club and wait for you there! 😂
Keep waiting mate 😂😂👍 Have a great birthday next week and enjoy your new club on your own 🤣
Hi guys, loving the ideas of off grid stop overs... Cant wait for the video of fitting the new bumper (Bull bar) as I am thinking of getting one, can you let me know where you ordered yours from please?
👍 bull bar…. Yes! Flipping bumper! Vlog up Sunday I managed to fit it all ok, 👌 I’ll dig up the spec advised me the camper maxi one and it fitted a treat, even tho it landed on my head 🤔🤣
misutonida.com/gb/fiat-ducato-campermaxi-2017/5788-bull-bar-fiat-ducato-campermaxi-misutonida-ecmed372plca.html
👍 hope that helps it looks nice 👌
I got this direct from Italy! And when it got half way DHL called to ask for £90 import tax so my advise see if you can get it already imported 👍👊 I was totally stupidly unaware…. brexit!
@@Travellingtravins That's great thanks for that, do you think it would be possible to fit some lights to the bar across the bottom?
Correction to last post:lots of free dualing not dealing!
Driving in France is a dream, traffic levels are far lower than UK, lots of free dealing, and France is very camper friendly!
Thank you we really hope we are brave enough to cross the channel. Thank you for sharing and giving us confidence x tune in at 5pm for our wild camp in Suffolk. Keep safe and happy Sunday 🫶
Looks like she's had a trim up in there already 😂
😂😂hope you guys are well 😘
😂👍
Can’t wait for Sunday x 😂
Do you live full time in your van?
Hi 👋 thank you for watching and commenting. We are weekend warriors, I think when we retire we will go full time. Hopefully in the next 5 years counting. Have a great evening and see you Sunday 5pm x
Hi guys, great vlog........how is your dog when you leave him the van on a pub stop, does he settle alright? I don't think my little dog would cope being left alone in the van which is putting me off of pub stops.
Nelson is great he was a van dog when i was a signfitter so he settles down straight away. I guess yes some dogs woukld find it hard but he's our secuirty guard and we pay him well, thank you for watching x
@@Travellingtravins Thanks for the reply, I'll give it a go when I go on tour this spring, what the worse that can happen? lol
Thanks for the vlog. A real trip down memory lane for us. We lived for 10 years near Towcester and from your vlog it is fascinating how much bigger and posher it is than when we left in 1997. We notice our old local The George in Tiffield is now doing pub stop overs as well and it is on our list. Keep up the good work!
Hi barry, yep we lived on watling street, we moved to cash in on northampton house prices what a "mistake" love to move back there! its has changed loads we moved 2002. Love a pub stopver mate enjoy, thank you.
Soon be summer
Woop woop! f'kin freezing this weekend. Hope your all good? x
Hi, did u stay at the folly pub car park, how do u find out about these places ❤
Hi yes we did, it was a lovely stopover, we sued the app search for sites on this one and used the Beer icon to find pubs that let you stayover for free in return for some business, great idea we think! we pay £7.40 i think for the years membership. Thank you for your continued support.
😂
I’m looking for a new campervan at present and I’ve seen a number of reviews about the poor service from Marquis which is one of our local dealers (Durham). I was going to call there but am now wondering if it’s worth the risk when making such an expensive purchase.?
Personally I wouldn’t choose marquis there’s better more professional outfits, in our opinion. Brownhills has been great with our purchase other than things out of their control which happens. Wish you well what are you after?
@ I’m favouring the Swift Carrera 122 at the moment, Brownhills does look good but would be a 260 mile round trip for me. Thanks for your response
We like that model, a bit too far agreed, you do need someone localish for warranty work etc, wish you well and happy travels ahead! All the best tra n vin
Probably shouldn't let Minnie run around the grave yard,
Vinnie
Nice park up though 👌
Thanks for taking the time to comment and we agree we shouldn’t, ironically read the sign 🪧 dogs on lead when we watched the footage back . It was a nice peaceful park up. Stay safe and have a great week 🫶
Love your Vlogs but the background music is awful. Drives you mad! 😖

Some thing very different 🫥 So what are you putting the £ towards , a trip to France?? Really enjoyed it, take care 👍
Hope to cross paths maybe not the channel, perhaps you come and pick us up 😂😂 I dread to think of us in France. Stay safe and keep smiling 🫶
@ we are off to Spain in 3 weeks, then our big trip this year will be travelling up to Nordcapp in May , it will take as long as it takes! 👍
How exciting, please share some moments of your trips with us, sounds so exciting.
The graveyard that lies within the grounds of Dartmoor Prison (HMP Dartmoor) is the spookiest place you will ever visit, voices in the French language have been heard by many people, the voices of the 1300 odd Napoleonic prisoners who died in Dartmoor prison? I'm a sceptic but a good friend of mine swears that he's heard whispers in French on several occasions while working at the prison on building and maintenance contracts.
Oh wow, what an amazing vlog that would be. I am sure there has to be some truth in all the stories. Thanks for watching 🫶🫶
Yes i have a dragon blue Peugeot boxer and i don't go away in the summer anyway but it' pulls the heat tropical inside, black i can imagine the same i venture in the cold months of the year as more cosy, like your videos a lot 👍
Hi Rob, the heat is not great in mid summer. We love winter wild camping and being snuggled in the van. It’s -5 this morning and we are at a pub stopover 🫶 Thanks for watching and see you tonight at 5pm. Happy van life and enjoy your winter travels 🥶
@@Travellingtravinsyes thank you
Just come across your channel...whilst having a do naff all day because it's cold... Me and the wife have been part time vanners for many a year.. like back in the day of tenner a night.... and now the prices are stupid...we've been all over the show over the years... then about 4/5 years ago, we decided to venture over to france..then Spain... so much better by a long shot.. roads, people, places, scenery, different foods... it's out there....100% you'll enjoy the travels to Europe... We're done with uk site's.... way to over priced, Even off grid in a van has got alot harder..
Hi Alan, we are complete novices unlike yourselves. €10 when you provide your own accommodation is reasonable and now we think the prices seem steep. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment, we appreciate your support. See you tomorrow 5pm 🫶one day we will be brave and cross the channel x
use your caravan and motorhome club sites you have just joined it not long ago
Good shout, they are still a little pricey at £30ish per night. We have set ourselves a challenge to wild camp, it may prove difficult. Thanks for watching and appreciate you commenting. See you Sunday at 5pm 🫶
Crikey quite a few things to comment on there so please excuse my multiple comments . The first is that the Eye Kettleby vid has gone . Is that deliberate? We are there later in Jan. For us it is curiosity as virtually all the channels we follow have been there singing its praises so we wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
Being new to campervans and having most recently come from camping, the big plus for campsites is security. We are quite ancient and a bit wary. We are only just starting to get out in the van for trips out having recently done Hunstanton, Southwold and Aldeburgh. We didn't stay over just used the van to get out and explore.
Good luck with the wild camping vlogs. Is this going to be a sort of Ken & Carol with more mild peril and worse food? I'm sure you are going to have to head to a campsite occasionally so Vinnie can get the furniture, BBQ and beers out. He'll need it.
hi barry we did two whilst there, disaster vlog and exposing big rip off,
We watch all your and had watched the big rip off one when I went to comment on it was gone. Now looking on 4g it is back! I'll check on the other WiFi networks I use over the next day or so.
Ok it is confirmed - I am going nuts - all the vids are there.
Hello I have downloaded the your parking app…… do you have to inform them you have a Campervan? Loving your channel.
No don’t tell them. just use the 4 digit code on signposts or look for spot advertised on there for where you want to go. Thank you 🙏 glad you enjoy. 🫶
There are so many van channels who try to be entertaining and funny, and they just come off as being a bit naff. But you guys are genuinely likeable and fun to watch, and you always bring a smile to my gnarled old face. Well not that gnarled.
That’s such a lovely comment thank you, just us being ourselves, take care of that face 😂🫶😘❤️🤟🐶🚐
When you said about following us we both spat out our drinks laughing, bless vinny you could see his little leg jittering about when you where talking about driving abroad, just remember look left turn right. Make sure you hold his hand when you walk through the grave yard 😂
Good! 😂 I was shaking 🫨 and the no alcohol intake didn’t help! I don’t know my left to my rights FFS 🤦 you’re leading the convoy! Take care 🫶
You missed out the Funfair and Sealife Centre!
Can’t cover all, would love to but we are going back there! So I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you for your comment 👍🫶
@Travellingtravins A visit to The Barns, opposite the Mariners Bar in old Hunstanton, may interest you as well.
As locals call it "Hunston".
Love to live there we love Hunston 🫶👍🐶🚐
Getting all the stuf out is only in the british 3 week summer.
You’re right there! That magical window may-June !! Nice one ☝️ 👍👍👍👍
Best of luck with your challenge 👍. Especially the church yard visit 🫥. Looking forward to seeing more. Thanks to you both.
Thank you for your support, it snowed so it was really nice, great park saved +£50,50 this year already! Take care 🫶👍
I'm driving a 5hour round trip to view & 99% buy a £40k motorhome this Tuesday. It's with the aim to do numerous trips throughout the UK & a couple in Europe, over this coming year. Wanting to stay off grid as much as possible & only use sites when absolutely necessary. At my age the house is paid for with minimal outgoings, just the rip off council tax & household bills. Maybe 50% at home/50% travelling in the mh. Am I bonkers to even consider & buy? Serious question. Will it just be a money pit in travelling, upkeep, hassle parking up off grid, fuel etc etc?? Would love to know people's thoughts. Or better to just travel in other ways & stay in other astablishments?
Not bonkers! You’ll love it! We still have the mortgage and work commitments so we are weekend warriors with holidays time thrown in. We only wish we could do a month trip away or longer, my advice is park for night app for those park ups, and then britstops for a cheeky pub stopover but then you still need an elson paint to drop waste and top up on water. I wish you enjoyment and adventure, we would love to show the community what you buy and your plans? Much love 🫶
@@Travellingtravins Just to let you know that some comments have gone from here. I myself replied a lengthy comment to yours & it's gone. Thanks for your comment 👍
When I tour the UK I use a mix of free park up's, pub stops, and campsites. I think if you spread the cost it makes a lot of sense. I still use sites a couple of nights a week to top up electric, use their showers, and just to get the awning wound out and sit outside in the sun.
I think thats the right balance 👍🫶
Sites in both France and Spain will also succumb to increased running costs in 2025 now that the EU Covid Tourist Recovery grants have finished, add to that the hiked up Ferry and Tunnel costs for 2025 and suddenly France and Spain aren't so cheap.
Thanks for sharing, looks like it’s turned into a very expensive hobby for everyone. Sounds like prices are going to spike, 😕 thanks for watching g and see you Sunday 5pm
Sites might be cheaper in France... But P&O are asking £300 return for two people, a 6m camper and a dog in June.... We do it twice a year!!! 😮😮😮
@@PaulDevall it's a crazy price, I remember paying £16 each way for a car & two adults, many times being frequent travellers across the channel. Before the online booking system was introduced, you booked & paid in the P&O building or hut at the port. They were the days, great days.
£300 is crazy, Motorhoming is expensive. You could probably go on a package holiday for less. Happy travels and thanks for watching see you Sunday 5pm
Bring back the good old days. £16 wow Thank you so much for watching, see you Sunday 5pm 🫶
Stunning views, absolutely love Norfolk..been to there a few times on caravan holidays, we recently brought a motorhome and can't wait to go back there,we def will visit here, thanks for sharing 🙂
Hi thank you for watching and commenting we really appreciate the support. Love ❤️ that we have helped you find a magical place to take your Motorhome. How exciting, you will love Motorhoming as it is just the best freedom. Have amazing travels and see you tonight at 5pm for our next van life vlog. Happy Sunday 🫶
There are so many options for finding cheaper sites, it stands to reason that the sites with more facilities cost more to run. I spoke to a campsite owner last summer who was apologising for the pitch rates increasing by 25% for the 2024 summer season. It's not until you hear first hand about the significant rises in costs of running a site that you start to get an understanding about the pressures that site owners are under to maintain a profit. The minimum wage alone has risen by 40% over the last five years, and as he explained you have to pay well over the minimum wage to get staff these days. But it's all the other stuff that goes towards running a site that impacts on costs, things that I admit I take for granted without giving them a second thought. Electricity hikes, ground maintenance machinery repairs and servicing, waste disposable, business rates, fire and safety inspections, and the list goes on. I left our little chat enlightened and more understanding of the financial pressures that campsite owners are under.
Hi . Very interesting and thank you for sharing, agree we take a lot for granted. It’s difficult to justify when a country house is the same price. Thanks for watching and commenting. See you Sunday 5pm 🫶
Paying that is just nuts, vans are self contained for a reason.
Hi thank you, we realise the stupidity. You have made such a great a point and watch further to see how you and others have made a big difference to our channel 🫶 thanks so much for watching see you next Sunday 5pm
Wild camping (stealth) all the way in my T5 ..its fun ..thats what gives me the buzz ! Paying to be on a muddy field with no view is nuts unless theres music or an allowance for a bbq.
Hi totally agree. You have made such a great point and we are listening. Keep watching and we have changed our channel because of all of you. Thanks for watching see you Sunday 5pm 🫶
Look forward to your vids ..enjoy ..
lodge.micro.useful = Kirby Road ... No sign of any campsite or solar panels
Just checked it’s what what three words supplies as eye kettleby lakes 👍
Campsites were £40+ a night in 2007 when we had a 7.5m motor home, so I'm not sure its down to Covid. Call it greed, supply and demand or anything else you like, but if you keep paying it, they'll keep charging it. We've never stayed on a campsite for a long time now, and while sites will be really useful for some, they aren't offering us anything we need for that sort of money.
Hi thanks for watching and commenting. £40 feels expensive. I agree with your comments, we try to wild camp often however do love the set up on a campsite. Happy travels and see you Sunday at 5pm 🫶
Staying on private campsites is more expensive than a club site for sure. But although clubs have advantages they also mostly don’t have a club house or restaurant which I would love. Then is the question of which club or both? I personally prefer the CMC but enjoy the sites with either a food van visit, pub food near by or a restaurant. The price of the site gives me a secure safe place and that’s worth it for me.
Hi totally get the safeness and as you know leaving your table n chairs they won’t go walkies, we go private even tho member of the CAMC for the fact of a bar or restaurant otherwise your stuck, we need something in return other than a pitch. Thanks si much for your comment appreciated 👍🫶
Sorry mate, but I would have to disagree. I've stayed on some excellent but cheap (ish) private sites this year. I don't feel like I get value for money with the main C&MC sites. I only stay a member to use the occasional CL which I've found to be much better value.
❤
Just another part of the UK greediness trend that will sadly never fade
Rip off Britain hope your well n had a nice Christmas dinner I didn’t…. Much love ❤🎉
Had 2 motorhomes learnt the hard way , it’s cheaper on ferries site fees stupid fuel cost , we now use booking sites a lot cheaper . Also no anti motorhome people , this is why these motorhome builders are going under , expensive tat !!!!!
Quite right Stephen looked at an adria was over 100k the quality was awful and this is adria build, thanks for your one watching us and your comments are appreciated 👍🫶
Would not even entertain spending anymore than £35 a night , usually mix in a pub stop as even buying food can be around the same price , as most RVs are self contained look at a park up or even a CL type site , happy new year 🎉
Thanks David Happy New To You and Your family. Food sounds good instead of fees 😋 thanks for watching and see you next Sunday
Campsites have definitely got a lot more expensive during/post covid. But to be fair, so have staff costs etc. But..... they have become more greedy as its disproportionate to the costs in budget hotels. ..... that said there are plenty of cheaper sites out there, but they tend to be in the middle of nowhere.
Hit the nail on the head there my friend. Thank you for your comment it’s great to hear from you, 👍
Get over the channel, away from rip off Britain.
Agree but we are nervous of taking VanDolph aboard, hopefully one day 🫶Thanks for watching and see you next Sunday 5pm Happy new year x
Pre Covid, we were paying £15-£30 if staying on sites, generally with Electric hookup. We generally only stayed on sites now & again, mostly we did off grid. Prices have definitely gone up, it's just more greed by all who think they can get away with it. The same applies to motorhome/camper dealers who've made a fortune over Covid, in pure greed.
Thanks for watching and commenting. It appears to be greed which is a shame. Thanks for sharing g your knowledge. Happy Motorhoming and wishing you a happy new year. Take care and see you next Sunday 5pm x 🫶
We live in France & away at the moment, 4 nights at different Camping Car Park sites, electricity & services average 13€ per night. You do have to have your own facilities. For you it was Christmas & why not 👍
Hi Paul. Envious you live in France, life for Motorhoming abroad is so different to the Uk , one day we may be brave and cross the channel. Wishing you happy new year, thanks for watching and see you next Sunday 5pm 🫶
@ if you do come over please let us know. We are near La Rochelle on west coast, you would be very welcome to visit. Happy New Year to you both & 🐶
@@paulreyland9671very kind of you, parents owned a place in Brantôme, Dordogne but sadly sold before we had our van to travel out there, do enjoy keep watching 👀 and maybe 🤔 lots of love x
we have given up staying on sites in the uk and stay at welcoming pubs instead far cheaper . don't get how sites in Europe can offer better facilities and be cheaper
Rip off Britain mate! Thanks for comment and time watching us 👍🫶
