    Why did I click on this? It hurts my feet just watching this. Gave me goosebumps. I don't want an injection. Better treat this before it gets to this point.

    Over a month ago, I stumbled across this video (during the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep due to PF pain). After years of PF pain, podiatrist visits, PT, shots, orthotics and an altered lifestyle, I called and scheduled a Tenex consultation with an area orthopedic surgeon. I just had my procedure done on Monday and let me just say, I felt ready to walk out of the facility on my own! I could tell that I had full range of motion immediately! Although I'm still in my recovery phase, I'm going to follow doctor's orders, avoid running any marathons, and wear my walking boot until my follow up exam in two weeks.

    Patella tendinopathy is often associated with calcification in the tendon. The ultrasonic probe is approved to remove soft tissue, ie degenerative tendon, and it is acceptable to remove the calcification if it is within the tendon substance. However there are no data as to whether this is necessary, and I do not routinely try to remove all the calcifications, but treat the tendinopathy itself. A distinction should be made between tendon calcification and a bone spur, that is a new growth of bone originating from bone. Tenex at this time does not have FDA approval to remove bone spurs.

    • @flameout12345
      @flameout12345 7 років тому

      No, but i've seen a video introduction that stated they can remove bone spur. I'm just thinking how they're gonna do it without opening up the area and they must be real good in aiming with ultrasound. So I'm a little skeptical but hopefully they can answer us.

    • @TenexHealth
      @TenexHealth 7 років тому

      You can get the answers you need by asking a medical doctor about your condition. If you’ve been suffering for 3 months or longer, and conservative therapies such as rest, ice, stretching or physical therapy did not help, you may be a candidate for a minimally invasive treatment using Tenex Health TX technology. The Tenex Health TX® technology is typically used by a specialist, including but not limited to Orthopedic Surgeons, Podiatrists, Sports Medicine Physicians, lnterventional Radiologists, or PM&Rs. Many insurances do not require a referral from your PCP to see a specialist and you may contact any doctor on our Find a Doctor page directly.

      Engr. Md. Nizam Uddin there actually is a way to help with foot odor temporarily. My 21 year old son suffers bad foot odor. A friend told him to soak his feet in a bucket with warm tea. Any brand will do, we make tea often in the south so we made a large container and poured into the bucket. He soaked for 15-30 minutes each time once a week. It really did help him. Other alternatives are Botox injections I believe. Good luck!

    Just had this done. Procedure was same as video--except the switching of the patient. When the dr. was doing it I could feel the exact area that had been bothering me get treated. Some relief right there. I could see the Tenex needle do its thing going in back and forth. The image looked the same to me but to the Dr. he could tell the difference. Post. Little pain. On crutches now for a couple of days but can totally expect walking in another couple of days. Not much pain at all really. Dr. recommended Tenex over PRP because better long-term results with Tenex. He said one of the reasons this doesn't heal well when injured is that there is low blood supply to this tendon. Tenex procedure helps clean up tendenosis and frayed parts of tendon and no doubt increase blood flow to area for healing.

    IM researching this procedure for myself, but it's tough to assess if it works or not when you're interviewing and prepping a black male and then performing the procedure on a white knee cap. doesn't exactly give me the best vote of confidence considering i wanted to see how he is post surgery.

      I did this exact procedure 1 year ago. I am fit adult male who plays basketball 2-3 times a week with chronic patellar tendentious for many years. Sadly, nothing changed. I went back to playing sports 4 months after the procedure (doing Physical therapy for three months), and I found nothing changed. I had an MRI done a after 6 months showing the same amount of tendentious. I am posting this info as I could not find much information from people that have had this done so I wanted to give the feedback I could not find. That said, I am just one person and do not know anyone else that has done this procedure.

    I wish my doctor and his staff had conveyed some of this information when explaining my TENEX procedure's before and aftercare requirements. I believe my doctor has done a good job, but the amount of information I received was marginal and I have had to do my own research. No diagnostic ultrasound was performed - I was directly sent for an MRI. The post procedure points here are more clearly explained that what I received. And since I had the TENEX yesterday, I found this just in time.

      +Lightroom Guy So what were you having teated with this device? I've had plantar fasciitis in one foot for 4 years and it has just started in the other one. I've seen podiatrists and orthopedists and so far the only tangible treatment has been a series of insoles that have been of very little to no benefit. Not sure the Tenex machine is the answer either, but I've started looking for a doc who has one.
