i have this sneaker, i know why in the US they dont get much attention maybe because ppl in US want instant comfort, this shoe is not instant comfort, after wearing about 2 weeks my feet feel cram and not comfortable because the midsole very robust and toe box area is snug, since already buy this shoe on footlocker for 100 USD if i dont wear it feel waste for my money haha, so decided give a chance to wear it again in months and you know like typical others new balance, the more you wear them the more comfort you feel on your feet.

Always nice finding a fellow bodybuilder who also shares an interest in NB sneakers.

Thanks for the information. You are telling the truth. I listened to Sam Dovosky and this shoe is wider then the 990v4. He said it wasn't. I just brought 991v2 in size 10 black and size 9.5 grey and size 9 - all standard widths. Only the 10 turned up (so far) and its huge. I am normally (now) size 10 Wide (2E) in standard New Balance shoes, but I use to be 9.5 Standard width when I was younger. Now the 990V4 in 10 fits OK length wise, but is a little too narrow on one of my feet (I have an old injury there). It may break in though. You see I can't buy wide (2E) or wider (4E) in my country in these shoes, only standard. Its a tough decision. I want to keep one pair of V2's as I like the MADE IN ENGLAND and the smaller NB logo, always have. Then again the V4 is built like a tank and the grip on the sole is fantastic - its pure utilitarian and thick. I believe it will last a long time. In fact the sole is so good it could be used as a trail shoe as well as a track shoe (a hybrib). I recall shoes like this from 1990 and they did everything and they lasted forever. You may also recall these days. I also noticed the sole on the v2 wrinkle up (compress) just after trying the shoe on and doing soem squats in it. I'm worried it may bottom out too quickly compared tot he V4. This did not happen to the V4. Personally I prefer black, but I know the grey is the classic NB colour. Cheers from Australia.

It's interesting that Mizuno had the idea for a wave (propulsion) plate years before Nike did.

How cool is that, you like sneakers and live in Japan, great combo to have some unique pairs for years to come.Looks they did come out in the US but have already sold out in my size. As of 10.12.24
