IRL Air Traffic Control content in South East England.
Hi, I'm from London and I like listening to ATC. I will primarily be focusing on Heathrow and London Control ATC. I use a Uniden EZI33XLT scanner with a "SKYSCAN DESKTOP 25-1300MHZ SCANNER ANTENNA".
Drop any suggestions in the comments for what ATC you want to hear!

11/06/23 Bad Weather over London's major airports caused delays where aircraft would fly holding patterns in the air until they could be vectored for an approach to their destination. Two British Airways Shuttle flights from Glasgow and Edinburgh were inbound to London Heathrow. Both flights had been in the air for extended periods of time which meant they were running low on fuel. Both aircraf...
Well played Kate Laura Cross!!!!!!!!!
Could losten to this all day
How did you listen to atc in the uk??
Same as anywhere else. Buy a scanner, and if you want larger receiving range then get a proper antenna. Its actually not allowed to do this in the UK, but it's not really enforced.
@@stastosh thanks
@stastosh Wait your not allowed to listen to atc in the UK? Since when? I've always done it since I can remember.
@@CapturingCornwall well it is illegal...lol i dont know what the exact law is
@stastosh I looked it up. The law is at least 100 years behind in regards to technology. It's to do with radio frequency interference. Obviously we have much better radios so that argument is flawed. That's like saying we can't stream, have flight radar ect.
Heathrow Tower (North): "AUA455G, you're cleared to land 9L, wind 030, 8 knots." AUA455G: "Cleared to land 09L, AUA455G."
How do you get the Atc?
I use a Uniden EZI33XLT Scanner and a Skyscan desktop antenna. You will need a scanner that can receieve airband (VHF), and any antenna will do depending on how far you want to receieve.
British Airways pilot reads back instruction for another aircraft. Similar callsigns BAW8RL and DLH8RL. Frequency: 120.400 Heathrow Final Director
Radio silence has been omitted. London's Air Ambulance training excersise 05/11/23 at and around RAF Norholt (EGWU) Callsign: HLE28(Z) Frequencies: 130.350 "Northolt Director" 125.875 "Northolt Talkdown" Northolt Talkdown frequency is basically inaudible, but I am happy with how clear Norholt Director was, not usually this clear.
Clip of the Children's Air Ambulance (Helimed 81) entering the London Control Zone and arriving at Regent's Park for a patient transfer after flying from Liverpool. Radio silence has been omitted. Frequency: 125.625 - Heathrow Radar
If you would like to see longer videos of live ATC + radar, leave a comment letting me know what position you would like to hear.
A clip of Heathrow INT Approach South on 134.975. The south approach controller controls BIGGIN and OCKHAM, however in this clip is controlling both the south and north position. This is called "bandboxing".
How do you do this?
Scanner and an antenna. ADS-B is the live map
@@stastosh what scanner do u use

0:45 "unreadable" part is something like this: "...7 miles ahead...turn to the south would be ideal."
Sorry for the beeping on my scanner, low battery. Frequency: 125.625 "Heathrow Special" (Heathrow Radar) Aircraft: HLE60 "Helimed" (KSSAA) AW169
