Trying to capture a bit of my eclectic life. I love cars, music, woodworking, and of course my family. After retiring from the military I told myself, “it’s time to focus on family!” That landed me here in SWFL and this is me doing what I do. Hope you all enjoy watching me stay busy and active. I’m no videographer and taking photos is a chore for me but I do love all that I do and hope I can capture some of that here.

GoPro Karma drone footage Sanibel Causeway before the Hurricane

This was recorded a while back before GoPro grounded all the Karma drones. After an update the drone was bricked, GoPro never did offer a solution to fix the drones but I know there are people out there that have come up with some solutions to get them flying again. I'd love to get it flying again but for now I am using a DJI Mini 3.

This flight is a recent test of the flight pattern feature within the DJI flight software. Pick an altitude, adjust the camera angle, and then run the flight pattern. I was pretty happy with the stability of the footage and look forward to trying this feature out on more shoots. Paver sealing on new pavers using the 1, 2, 3 cleaning method, and sealing using Trident Hurricane CAT 5 sealant. Video is not an instructional video, just trying to capture some of the process. What is shown is the last part of applying the sealant. The cleaning and resanding had already been done prior to remembering to turn on the camera. Hope you enjoy. More videos to come.

How well does that hardboard hold up to weight? It’s a lot cheaper than plywood and I’m wondering if it’s a viable option for the bottom of my drawer system. I plan to do a lot of camping with it
So far it’s been pretty durable. The drawers never really come all the way out of the truck unless trying to get into the back of the drawers. Most of the weight is supported by the bed and tailgate. Everything was glued and screwed together so it holds pretty good. Time will be the real test. I also waxed the bottom of the drawers to make them slide better.
