yes!!!!! it really was 77 years based on a seismic lie. it WAS unnecessary it SHOULD'VE stayed buried. and what a gorgeous shot, probably one of my favorites in the whole show. the sunlight separating the room, acting as a barrier between them, a barrier louis can't cross, but armand can. also people have pointed out before that at this point louis probably doesn't even know that armand can walk in daylight and that paralleling armand knowing the truth about the trail. it's so layered and beautiful and tragic and i love it so much. thank you for taking the time to come back to comment this, it really means a lot because i tried so hard to pick the right scene for each lyric. so yeah thank you so much <333333

@@kaoticnoo I HADNT EVEN PROCESSED ABOUT THE SUNLIGHT SEPARATING THEM, but yes, that’s exactly the feeling - theoretically they can’t even cross that beam, they can’t cross the distance. Doubly so for Louis because he still can’t handle the sun! I’m telling you, I gasped out loud. Truly you had a top tier galaxy brain moment when creating this, because this video is chockful of little brilliant moments like this. And I can and will comment about all of them!

That's the messed up thing. If it weren't for that initial lie and him manipulating Louis into believing that it was all Lestat. They wouldn't have even survive Paris, as a couple. Louis may not have immediately gone back to Lestat, but he wouldn't have went with Armand either. And, if it weren't for Armand and all his mind-f*ckery, brainwashing, memory wiping bullshit they wouldn't have made it past SanFran. Which was only like 20some years after Paris. Louis wanted out of that relationship so bad at that point, that he literally tried to die. And not even that could get him out, and that's why he saved Daniel. Quite literally a life-line. And who knows how many times Louis woke up enough, on his own, to essentially start banging on the "prison" bars. So many people noticed and pointed out, that every time they had a fight, throughout both seasons. Every time Louis started getting real memories back, he would suddenly be "resting". And then next time we saw him, and them together, we'd get almost a completely different Louis. Who's back to being all starry eyed, in "love" with Armand again, as if nothing at all had happened. Someone said once that it was like Armand kept "re-setting" Louis, and I've never been able to stop thinking about it... I mean he asks for those pages of Claudias diaries right, but then never seems to get them, and never asks again. Why?... Point being, I genuinely believe the only reason they lasted as long as they did, is because of Armand, and his nasty bs mind-rapey powers. I mean look at the Louis we got at the end, when Daniel is finally able to help him get out. The life literally comes back into him. The color, the light, the music and art. He actually looks healthy again, all pretty and glowing in his splendor. And not like a man slowly wasting away, who hasn't seen light or a proper meal, if years. And he immediately basically changes up everything in the penthouse. There's a reason that Armand himself actually used the words "prison" when describing their relationship, all the way back in SanFran. I have no doubt, that if it had been of Louis' own choice, without any influence or mind-games at all. He wouldn't even have made it to SanFrancisco, still with Armand.
