How to replace ring binder mechanism instruction guide.
Faulty ring binder mechanism is a pain. Throwing away the whole planner because of a replaceable part makes no sense. There are many UA-cam videos showing how to replace the ring binder mechanism but either they were way too technical or downright violent with no happy endings.
Or maybe you just want to change that tarnished mechanism for a shiny new one.
Stationery.Life knows your frustration. We created the Ring Binder Mechanism Replacement Kit to make replacing the faulty ring binder mechanism in a planner simple. In this video, we will show you how you can change the ring binder mechanism without a Ph.D. in engineering.
You can order your Stationery.Life Ring Binder Mechanism Replacement Kit from Amazon. Available in Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver colors.

How to fix ring binder with gap
Переглядів 132 тис.9 років тому
Gaps do appear on ring binder rings sometimes. This does not mean it is "The End" for it. You can fix it within minutes. This video shows you how to do it yourself. If you feel that your fingers are not strong enough, you can ask your BF / DH to help :-)
This didn't work cause I got the flimsy rings so I just used a hammer and now I have a fixed binder
Why would you choose this music
Thank you! This video was very helpful!
Gay ass music
Has anyone done this without poking holes straight through the binder and ruining it? I don't want to see the screws on the outside of the binder. I saw a reviewer on amazon did it but I didn't understand her explanation.
Hmmmm, circus music...🎪🎠
Yaaaay! I want you to know I was pulling for you the whole time! LOL
Didn’t work only caused me to have another one with a gap.
Jesus was crucified , bore our sins in his body, he rose from the dead in 3 days, trust in him and gain eternal life. Without him we are lost. BUILD A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND SPREAD THE GOSPEL SO YOU DON'T GO TO HELL.
I like how you didn’t only show the successful attempt. I’ll admit to giggling at that. Thanks for the help, too! MUCH needed.
instructions unclear : i now have 3 rings with a gap
Same😬
to make an instructional guide for replacing ring binder loops is rare. Thank you for helping us.
The piano song in the background is awesome 🎹🎹🎹
thankyouuu!!
Thank you so muchhhhhh.
Wow!!....Your awesome dude!!👍
I like how he has a random ass piece of wood in his house
Wait you don’t have that? Many people keep wood inside of their refrigerators.
thought i was the crazy one for not having any sliced tree laying around LOL
This didnt work. At all. I had to get pliers to fix my stuff.
People are saying "wow this worked so well for me!" and to be fair it did work But why isn't anyone talking about the spacing of those rings in that binder? o.O
Its a 6 or 7 ring binder, 3 close at the top/bottom and 1 in the middle. Usually for a6 planners with that grouping, sometimes a5. My a5 only has 6 rings.
I was gonna get mechanical with mine but this just saved me time (still a trail and error process) but better than me adjusting with Alan Wrenches
😲thanks so much!
Wow! Impressive. I received a Malden with damaged rings, but want to keep. I didn’t think ring replacement was an option with riveted plates, but now I’m secure in the knowledge it can be done!
Very nicely done!
Where do I get the kit? It would be super helpful to have a link in the description. :)
I appreciate you!
are you guys going to add mat black rings by any chance?
thank you so much!!! this worked for the last bottom ring on my 3 ring binder
now how do i repair my damaged book ?
This is amazing and works, I've just put rings back in my A5 Malden after turning it into a tn and then deciding I wanted my ringed Malden back! the spine on the outside doesn't look great but that's because there's the holes for my elastics and the screw does go through the Filofax symbol but I'm happy as ive got my rings back and didn't have to spend another £80 to buy a new one!! Thanks Stationery Life.
It worked, thank you
Great tutorial-thank you!
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the knowledge! ☺
yeah cause everyone just has a spare tree trunk lying around
LOL
Got wood?
life saver haha
Music?
All this did was cause me pain and frustration (my gap was in the middle ring). I got so irritated that I just took a hammer to the middle ring and hit it about 3 times. Worked like a charm :) ha.
Thank you mine is the middle rung as well
I'll try
...That actually worked. Sometimes the best solution is the most simple one I guess.
wait it actually works!! thanks!
you are a saint i have been crashing out because of this binder for hours
Do you sell pocket sized rings? If not where can I get 22mm diameter pocket sized rings mechanism? Thanks
i had the same question, but i think u gotta find ur nearby store urself.
this is crazy! thank you!
does this technique work with a vertical gap?
You saved an expensive binder's life today.
SO PERFECT!!!
Omg thanks so much you saved me from very pissed of parents
WOW!!! Very Impressive!
Thank fuck. An actuall guide and not some fuck beating his binder with a screwdriver =)
So helpful, I'll just go chop down my fucking tree now.
😯😯 doesn’t work for the middle one tho 😭
You just have to use two pieces of wood, one for each end ring. In any case the middle ring is the least likely to gap.
Use a hammer. Worked for me :)
I just got a new binder cause I had a 2 or 3 inch so I got a 4 inch & I didn't see that the ring had a gap😭 so this is really helpful!
Thank you! I've watched 3 useless videos and then finally found this one that actually gives a solution!
Thank you for this clever tutorial. Much appreciated!
Wow this actually works! I just used it on a big 3 ring binder, used a lotion bottle between the rings and a tshirt to cover my hands from pain, for grip and not getting scratched/cut. Since it's the bigger rings I just used my body weight to push down on the rings since my problem was one side of the ring being higher than the other, removed the bottle, closed the rings and now it's perfect!! Thanks!
jessica cain thanks this actually solved my problem, I have a huge 5 inch binder that cost me 30 dollars, and you saved me a lot of money.
