My Pathos is modified, actually. I've changed the muzzle to an inverted roller that I custom designed and changed out the Pathos trigger mech to an Ermes Double Roller. I removed the Ermes and examined it earlier today - what I think is happening is there was some kind of build-up developing within the bearing; It's all cleared up now and just needs some silicone lube - hopefully it won't be a problem anymore.

The length of the top band would depend on the thickness of the rubber you intend to use and length of your barrel. I have an 82cm barrel with a 17.5mm bottom band and 16mm top band. The top band is the SALVIMAR Boost Green - it's super stretchy compared to other brands so I'm able to use a shorter length of it on top at about 17cm; 17cm length works with my 82cm barrel but if you're using a 100cm or greater, the length of the top band would also need to increase. There should be some references online explaining band length requirements for spearguns - it should give a better explanation.

No, not really. Usually, we bring two types of anchors; One type will be the kind used for tying around kelp stems-- it's typically shorter in length with a lightweight carabiner clip or velcro strap for binding -- the other type would be the conventional style with a metal boat anchor. There are times though, I don't use an anchor and just attach my floatline to the kayak and tow it around. My kayak has very low drag so pulling it around, I barely feel any resistance, even when the waves hit it directly from the bow.

@@PNWSamson 22" - The ling's I shot were 22.5" and 24" -- I measured twice to make sure; a friend brought along a fish measuring board aside from the measuring tape I used that's on my gun. A few of my followers have been wondering about the size and whether it was a legal take.

@@PacificCoastHunterz No worries man, I didn't suspect they were under I was just curious. They have to be 25" in British Columbia. I don't think Washington has a minimum for spearfishing but they have a maximum of 36". No consistency haha

Empty, the kayak is 70lbs. I wouldn't use an inflatable while spearfishing... that's asking for trouble.
