Made a complete mess of this one, halfway through the video my dad and I went into the kitchen for a cuppa and I left my coat and the microphone was clipped to it in there, so for most of the video there is no sound The switch failed anyway and an explanation will be in video 4. I hope to make these videos longer in the future and make sure to have all the equipment with me too.

My 1951 Ferguson starter switch hasn't properly worked since owning the tractor so I'm determined to fix it. Please allow for editing mistakes as I am new to this but hope to learn as I go along.

Started the TED20 for the first time in over 20 years. As you can see there is a crack in the block which is now fixed. Pretty happy with the way it started.

The old switch only needs its contacts cleaned. Remove the 4 screws in the plastic part and clean up the two contacts.
Hi I did this when I first got the tractor but it didn't work apart from once or twice, that's why I had to replace it. Thanks for watching.

@@nickrolfe367 I think they are calming, actually. With the craziness in our country’s government and politics plus the Israel 🇮🇱 against the “whole world” wars… it’s just nice to watch someone work on anything… especially in a safe place 😊 far away from the madness

@@nickrolfe367 That’s a way to put it in perspective 😊. Over here in the States we had a real mess at the 1968 Democratic Convention… even candidates getting assassinated! Plus, Martin Luther King’s assassination caused horrific riots! I suppose since I was only 8 and we only had 3 television channels with the news only on from 6 - 7 pm … I didn’t know enough to think all hell was breaking lost.
