Walk, inspire, paint
United Kingdom
Приєднався 30 січ 2014
Inspirational walks, visiting picturesque landscapes, gardens, woodland, Stately Homes and other historic sites. Visiting historic events, re-enactments and learning from re-enactors. From tiny insects to majestic deer, ancient sites and places of outstanding beauty, everything the beautiful British countryside has to offer is available here to encourage people to get out and about and get inspired to capture images for their art, or simply to enjoy the magnificent scenery with its connections to our British heritage. My channel is simply about feeling good, immersing yourself in nature and history and letting the world's problems pass you by. So let us go and explore this small corner of our special planet.
Romans in Wroxeter
Roman re-enactors get to show the period at the Roman ruins of Wroxeter. This was one of the largest cities in the UK of the Roman Empire. Most of the city is still not excavated, so it makes you wonder what wonders remain undiscovered.

Chirk Castle, is a fortress, home and important to king Edward 1st. Built in 1310 it has survived the centuries virtually intact thanks to its defence design. It has been a home to many families, but the Myddelton family owned the castle for over 400 years. In 1563, the castle was granted to Elizabeth 1st's favourite Robert Dudley, soon created Earl of Leicester and Baron Denbigh, who held it a...
Sudbury Hall & Childrens Museum

A beautiful Stately Home which houses a children's museum. A family day out which the whole family can enjoy. Victorian and more modern toy collections, dressing up, drawing, outdoor playground and many touchable toys to play with, especially for younger children. They were celebrating 50 years of the museum at the time we went, so there was also a lot of 70s nostalgia there too. We took our gr...

Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
That's so cool! I would love to have those items in my home
Have to admire the skilled craftsmen
Interesting displays as they are obviously in England, Well versed in the American west
Yes, they are pretty knowledgeable. In one of my previous videos Avoncroft part 2 I think, there was a colonial group, one of which was an American lady playing her part, and she was lovely. I really enjoy speaking to the many period groups
Nowadays, camp followers are selling, um, something, on Only Fans.
😂😂😂
Horizontal refreshments 😂 love it ❤
Today I learned ..... bwahahaha
Bob Segar and the Silver Bullet Band sang the Horizontal Bop.
Unless you're Amanda and Joseph the Hooker takes your virginity and then tells you to clean up the blood off the bed afterwards so his sister doesn't see it and then to sleep on the floor so nobody is suspicious. Worst night of my life.
😂😂
That must be what Playboy means, PB&J, Joseph Hooker. Joe, male gigolo.
Old Pummeloe?
The eyebrows women ugly their face with, were called cumbrellas by the inventor who was a madame.
Thank you for that interesting fact
What medal he is wearing?
I’m not sure, they were re-enacting as Mexicans in this particular living history
Horizontal refreshment is the most polite things i've ever heard😂
It did make me laugh 😆
I gotta try that one this weekend lol
old term heard in the 1960s from Grandfather who fought in WWI in France. They called it that too.
A soldier must be discipline no feelings no emotions and no lust.
I think the no lust would have been a tricky one
@@julespaints they have to be a terminator
Perhaps soldiers maybe a little more focused nowadays?
I was one of the photographers at the event so it was great watching this. Looking forward to part two 😊
Thank you so much. Hope you enjoy part 2 😊
Do you really thing, that soldiers were stupid in of to put their mouths on the loaded with powder barrel. Don't forget that this weapon is still hot after last shot.
Valid point
Spit loading is a load of bs from the Sharpe series. It was not used historically, as it was not faster than the prescribed methods of the manual exercise, and it was horribly unsafe. With the prescribed exercise, on parade, 3 shots a minute coukd be fired. No need for fancy, hazardous loading. People need to stop propagating this. You should not get your history from a television series.
Thank you for your comment. I can’t remember if I’ve covered this in another of my videos, but always grateful for corrections as I am no expert, I rely on comments like yours to state the facts for others to see
If you watch the main video that this is from, please feel free to further correct anything not historically correct. Cheers
Absolutely stunning for a car of 1911. I would challenge Ford to try to even think they could make this car again!
It was certainly stunning
Be Prepared
I think he was 🙂dyb dyb dob
Private Benjamin was named by her previous owner who was a little blonde lady not too dissimilar from Goldie Hawn
That would make sense

Thank you for your kind comment ❤️
Hi the boarded up building in Bodnant garden that you thought might be a folly is called “The. Poem” and was built by the garden’s founder Henry Pochin as a mausoleum in memory of four of his children who sadly died in infancy. It has only recently been closed for renovation Bodnant is very close to where I live and I’m very lucky to be able to visit nearly every week. Thanks for the beautifully shot video with lovely background music. Really enjoyed it.
Thank you for that information, so very sad, but so very beautiful. Glad you enjoyed it 🙂

Thank you
This took me back to our time together at Uni in the CAD Suite 🤣
At least I learned something lol 😂
Where is it?
Thanks for your question. It is at Trentham Gardens, Staffordshire. If you watch the full video that is linked to this clip, you can have a better idea about the place.

Thank you
Footprints is a wonderful place ❤ and Lisa and the team there are wonderful human beings ❤️ and as you can see from the video, the animals totally agree with me! The love and trust they have shown towards Lisa in the video is so beautiful. If anyone watching this video could set up a #paydaypound and donate £1 a month - this would make a HUGE difference to these guys! I absolutely loved watching this video. Thank you Walk, Inspire, Paint!
You’re welcome, was an honour to be a part of this in some small way
