Hi mate do you recommend rebuilding the nikki carb or going 350?
So far I enjoy the 350 but I would love to try the Nikki I have the 350 running better than I imagined and even getting nice fuel economy
Sorry to answer your question go the 350
@@njpw1402 thanks mate
Thanks for a very detailed video. Hopefully the little air leak won’t affect. I can understand the feeling of vertigo while going under the car as I suffer from it as well. Please keep the videos coming.
I will thank you ☺️
Well done thank you for this video
No worries thank you ☺️
Good video 👍👍
Cheers 🍻 mate thanks for watching
Were they the Sentinels or the Sentinel Elites and 7 or 9 inch?
Sorry elites 9” should have remembered that 🤣
BEST. VIDEO. EVER!
Thanks man 🤣
@@njpw1402 looks like I was unlucky with the usb c card reader after all. Not working… 😪
That's my sense of humor give it back
We share 🤣
Wtf was that shit😢
🤣🤣😊😊
Mighty nice safety thongs ur wearing there! :0)
Thanks for noticing 🤣👍
@@njpw1402 thongbait!! :0*
I have a 2000 GU Patrol, and have the same setup, one relay will be for low beam and the other for high beam and what happens is the factory wiring degrades and you get less output from the lights, so running new relays and wiring helps to bring the power output of the lighting back up to useful a brightness
Thanks heaps it had me a little puzzled 🤔 cheers for the feedback 👍
@@njpw1402You're welcome
Thank you so much for this video, as I've learnt much more about this subject than I realized was the case. I have considered doing this modification for a while but I hadn't thought about the modification to the drive shaft. Now I understand about drive shaft angles. Cheers.
No worries thanks for the comment 😄
FBI. Holland. Melanie Tuck Freire.
Sorry I’m not sure on what this means but thanks for watching 😊
Oil and gas? Or something specialist? i do industrial refrigeration in NSW and i feel like we have some similar skills hahaha
Yeah refrigeration mechanic is not something I’ve ever done 👍
mate mate this is the 2nd vid of yours ive watched. I really appreciate your skill set on multiple things. Its really awesome aye. please keep up the good work its rare to have someone like you on youtube
Thank you so much ☺️
13:10 mate you unknowlingly just showed 100ish noobs how to use 2 spanners together but I still guarantee they will struggle with orientation at least for their first 20 tries of this technique hahahaha I would love to know what your trade is too because your skill set seems very familiar as a self confessed wanna be car mechanic specialising in something completely different!!
Thanks heaps I started out as an automotive mechanic then Diesle, then HDfitter, then boilie 🤣 will it ever stop probably not 🤣😊👍
What engine are you going to be using for conversion LS?
Not an LS and I’m still enjoying the tb so I will have to wait and see thanks for watching 👍
I know what the engine will be haha
Nice job looks mint weird checked the doors on my dx already has coro tub and holes for every door might be lucky and not have to drill.
Awesome 🤩 I wish mine did but it does now 😁 thanks for watching 😊
Why were these things changed? Was the carburetor used?
Yeah it was second hand and the carburettor did not like the steep angles
Helow My engine tb45s Holley 480 Distributor 12 Rpm 800 1-At the beginning of startup, the engine runs well, and when I travel a long distance, the rpm drops and the engine begins to vibrate and become unstable. 2-When the engine is turned off, it starts to vibrate as if the engine wants to start again, but after two seconds it stops.
Cool a tb45, engine run on is common for carbon build up which maybe it’s getting a bit too much fuel checking the jet sizing is a good idea and try reducing the fuel mixture thanks for watching and the comment 😊
@@njpw1402 Thank you
Nice! should be a seriously awesome build mate!
It’s taking shape now
Was it backfiring when cold before your serviced the carby
Yeah big time
@@njpw1402 thanks
On my 80 series I upgraded the speaker with pioneer speakers. And 3D printed housings to accommodate the new speakers in the existing location with the original covers on the outside so it looks like it did from the factory.
Cool I’ve always wanted to do some 3d printing I will have to get one one day
😂 youre welcome 🎉
🤪
I know exactly what that is 🔥
Owh yeah 👍
Very informative and helpful thank you very much
Thank you you’re a legend 👍
You just need to test covering one then up to all but one. This makes sure your bypass diodes are correct and isolates shaded/low output panels while charging off the rest.
Thanks man
The light, 3m orange or red tape. Look at seek adventures. Removable solar panel matrax lock. Using the panel. Fridge, lock your hubs, voltage step up converter. 24 volt oven with step up converter. Going overland, washing video. Eyewash fix.
Thanks
Looks like it works for you and that is all that matters. Maybe some door seals to keep out the dust?
Thanks are thinking of the fridge box
The vents seem to be adequate for the running of the fridge but I have had water in the bottom when it’s been raining as travelling but nothing has caused any issues so far it’s only very minimal thanks for your comment 😊
Aww Mocha dog
She still going amazing puppy dog 🐕☺️
Crazy mate haha after talking to you the other day and about her it was great to see her in this video.
Great set up. Do you get much moisture from rain or condensation in the fridge area when it’s closed up or flying down the road when it’s raining for example?
🙌 "Promo sm"
Thanks ☺️
Did you consider that it may have been the other pump. Easy way to check is to just pull the fuse one at a time to isolate the faulty pump. Guaranteed it has a busted bolt on the conrod bolt. Common problem. That was so frustrating to watch you destroy that compressor.. Guaranteed its the other pump. Hope you dont charge by the hour😅
All good I had tested the other pump and these are mine so I was lazy and I have a few more thanks for the comment I think it was the first time I’ve pulled one apart 🤣
You didn't need to pull half those bolts to pull that apart. Dont use a drill gun to pull the thing apart, thats how you bust bolts.😮
Thanks
Thankyou. I am just getting my first Landcruiser soon. Need to swat up on this
No worries thank you ☺️
Hey mate, just wondering how thick those speaker pods were? Looks awesome mate. Good video🤙
43mm at the thickest point thanks for watching 😊
43mm at the thickest point thanks for watching
Thats how easy you fix older engines. Love it. Cant do that on todays cars.
Thanks it’s nice to play with old cars
@@njpw1402 indeed fixed a old volvo p1800 during my education to become a mechanic. Had no spare parts avaible for it to order so we had to diy fix it and it still runs today years later. Found it funny how my class mates did not take up on this rare offer but oh well.

Hey mate love how the raptor coat looks on the cruiser! Did you use the standard raptor pearl white kit or is it tinted kit. im considering painting my cruiser in raptor white
Hay mate thanks for the comment and it’s still the goods, it’s the tintable version, you won’t regret it cheers for watching 😊
Nothing wrong in getting a better than a Toyota vehicle 😁 man how I miss my GU
Haha fun but I am constantly working on it 🤣
You've seen the light 🎉
Yeah but now the subs may drop or they may rise 🤣🤣
Can't wait to find out
Same
I have my back sliders "faux tinted" with that same material they wrap buses in. Black with tons of tiny small holes. Easy to apply and cheap compared to tint film.
Awesome thanks for the comment that sounds effective for the job
@@njpw1402 Thanks for the vid. I've been hunting for some non generic covers. Also good for keeping prying eyes off of all your gear. I'll mention the channel in the order when I pick them up before US summer.
@LostandFoundTravel thanks heaps ☺️
What an absolute belter of a home base mate, you hit it out of the ballpark grate job man 👍👍👍 can't wait to see you using it in your future adventure's cheers.
Thanks heaps mate I really appreciate the comment and the sub
Great video and the speaker pods look quality 👍 for anyone watching, I’d recommend applying sound deadening to the metal door skins while you’ve got the door trims off. Made a big difference in my 80, wish I took a before and after dB reading.
Thanks for watching and yeah I should have
Wow, thank you! I wanted to see one of these Ridgebacks being used, and I was HOPING you would take us inside of it ... and you did!!
No worries, thanks for watching still enjoying it but there are some things I would change about it but only small things
Sick😂❤
Cheers 🍻
Good job. You work like I do so... There is a small chance that I can do that too😅
Thanks for watching you know you can 😉
G’day Jason. New subby and I like your work. Thanks for posting this vid ay. I see it’s been a month now, how has the tent held up so far, any signs of wear on the fly mesh from being squashed down due to keeping your bedding in there as well? I’m in the market for one and so far darche is the brand to go for. Cheers from Mario.
Thanks Mario the tent is good I’m in it right now the mesh is still in new condition I will follow up on a long term review in a few months as I’m using it a lot
Yes I have mine on the drivers side easy to fit as you showed
Cool thanks 😊
Onya brother! 24mins compared to 4 mins huge!!!
I think I’m just getting lazy 🤣🤣
Give us a update ? Tell me they are not Sucksion cups holding it on? WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT GO'S IN 60'C
Yes they are suction cups I have had some come loose and I just stuck them back on nothing fell off yet but I assume time will tell, they have been on for six months and through summer in the Pilbara, thanks for the comment 😊
