A huge THANK YOU ALL to my subscribers for continuing to come view my videos! My promise to you is that I will post more and more full albums that are meaningful to me and hopefully to you. Watch for an upcoming series of obscure prog albums I have found online.
Hergest Ridge Full Album
The follow-up album to Mike Oldfield's classic Tubular Bells, issued in 1974. Relaxing music for a rainy afternoon or for a good night's rest. I personally used to use it to help with insomnia back in the day.

Taken from a playlist and returned to its full uninterrupted glory. I sincerely hope you the listener enjoy this album like it is supposed to heard. Along with this video, I also have the Jon Anderson solo album "Olias of Sunhillow". It can be found here: ua-cam.com/video/S5_X6w_SJfc/v-deo.html
Olias - Full Album 1976

The first solo album by Mr. Anderson, as a single track. I did this because when the tracks are assembled in a playlist, they tend to place a lot of ads in between tracks. Sometimes, the ad breaks come at inconvenient spots and take away from the enjoyment of the music. I hope this serves you the listener better. EDIT: I now have uploaded a companion piece to this album, Patrick Moraz's first s...

HANDS - Twenty Five Winters FULL (2002)
HANDS returned after a 20 year hiatus to record Twenty Five Winters with new members and a couple of the original members. Some of their original style can still be heard on their first 21st century album, with some musical influences becoming more apparent this time around. 1. Knock / Enter 2. Walls 3. Green Room (Pt. 1 & 2) 4. Dance of Light and Darkness 5. I Laughed Aloud 6. Zombieroch (Pt. ...

Preparing The Deck 1
Here I am preparing to fit the deck made from a day bed frame that was a curb alert. The size was nearly perfect for this project, although the legs were a little too long and will need to be shortened.
Installing the Rack 2
It's all basically bolted on now. I had cut some of the wire away in places where it was interfering with placement of the rack. The last angle had to be removed because I didn't account for the rear bumper assembly, which had a drop of 4" from the height of the frame. The two corners in the back will have something attaching them to the underside of the bumper later. But, for now, it's in! Nex...
Installing the Rack 1
First part of installation of the rack I made for the slide-out deck. I slid the rack under the back of the camper's body, lined it up and centered it to the frame. I set it as far forward as I could without interfering with the rear axle assembly, which turned out to be 44" from the forward end of the rear bumper assembly. Then I blocked up one side with some scrap 4x4s and used a scissor jack...

Dzięki za moją ulubioną płytę z 1976 roku maestro Patricka Moraza❤
Brilliant album, second only to Ommadawn for me! 🥰
Beatiful musical piece. It helped me a lot, as a great inspiration in designing my fantasy pictures.
Great Album by Jon Anderson.. The Sounds are Extraordinary, and a trip to Listen too. Peace..
Супер
Its such a good record its a shame it didn't do so well as the bells
This is a beautiful SCI-FI story in music Jon by himself totally magical.
Miracule! No other words.

Masterpiece.
Many many years ago went on a outward bound course in shropshire having heard Hergest Ridge years before and they just seemed so suited to each other, quite an eerie feeling as you stare out over the mountains.
I prefer it to Ommadawn!
No. In definitive, is not a very good album. Strangely he is in the middle of the two Mike’s masterpieces: Tubular Bells and Ommadown.
Virgin saw dollar signs errr pound signs and insisted he bang out another album quickly.
Tastes differ...
N'oubliez pas Incantations.
@Rackamlebleu "Incantations" another masterpiece.
My early 20s were steeped in this green tincture of ancient, rolling emerald hills. Now, a senior, realizing the vitality, still here, in this recording, Thanks!
I got this LP when it came out as I have always loved YES. My baby boy, JJ, was only 1 and 1/2 years old. He absolutely LOVED this. At that age, little ones will grab onto something, and every single day, they have to have it. So, my precious baby boy and I would go on the "Mow-gade Mommy!" and we would turn my coffee table into the ship. We would make newspaper tricorn hats, He was the captain "O-yies" and we would fly off to distant worlds while he danced while standing on the table and swaying back and forth in his little diaper waddle. He was so precious! Big dark brown eyes of wonder and dark brown curls framed his little chubby cheeks. I was just 16 myself, so we played as children do...then he would fall fast asleep on my lap dreaming of his little toddler expeditions and I stroked his little curls off his face. He is now grown, almost 50 years old, and a grandfather himself. But tonight, while I listen to "our" adventure music at 1:30 am and cry for my baby to be in my arms again. The ravages of time has taken its toll on me, but these special memories will never fade. Thank you so much Mr. Anderson for sharing this wonderful gift of time.
Me encantó tu relato.
Cheers 🍻
Awesome 🧡
Strangely, this was the second album I ever bought and now I only live a few miles away from Hergest Ridge.
Absolute jewel of an album. From cover art to layered sounds.
I used to see the album displayed in a local store for a long time back when it first came out. I had no money at the time, so I would just look at the artwork and wondered how it sounded.
Mike Oldfield is the memory of a society deep in harmony with nature and its struggle to survive in a surrounding of deep disrespect towards it, that's at least I see it; enjoy the memory of better times, enjoy - Oldfield -🙂🙂😉❤ !!!
🤢
@@dancingvirgil beautifully put
Great...hypnotic
sad that so few people remember this.
Yeah. Sadder still, that even if the music were heard, can they slow down long enough to engage with the majik? This is so precious and transportive. We can only continue to be the ones who appreciate and regard.
I remember this and I had the LP back in the day. With people today and their tiny attention span after scrolling 20-second trifles on TikTok for hours, I think this kind of music is doomed, unfortunately. Who has the time to sit down and enjoy Hergest Ridge for 40 minutes? (I had Ommadawn and Tubular Bells on LP as well.)
❤️🧡💛

I had this on continual repeat when I was fourteen, reading Lord of the Rings. Perfect soundtrack for that.
I can see that. I used it to relax and it helped me to sleep.
Bo Hansson made an instrumental album "Lord Of The Rings", in the 1970's IIRC. I still have my vinyl copy (somewhere). As one could guess, it goes perfectly with reading the book.
I listen to this album with headphones EVERYTIME I fly.
Un auténtico viaje a otro mundo. Hermoso.
At that time Anderson was great friends with Vangelis and the influence can be heard a lot. It remains a very good album, the best of Anderson solo
These guys may be one of the only prog bands that have still strived to put out epic and incredible work long after the era had concluded. Cool album and thanks for posting.
Almost prog metal on some tracks! Thanks for posting
Found ya on UA-cam.
I could have sworn I already told you where to find me, but you're here now and that's all that counts. Welcome, my friend, to the show that never ends (as it were)
@@marxnutz - That was the old page I suppose, you know, copyright strikes.
One of my three favourite Yes and Anderson albums, alongside 'Close to the Edge' and 'Relayer'. Half a century later, it's still impressive.
What about fish out of water !
brilliant, up with the top groups.
Thank you.
¡Excelente banda!! Siguen tocando juntos? Saludos desde Mar del Plata, Argentina!
Sanctuary is not bad, in fact it is quite pleasant to listen to. If we had never heard the music of a genius named Mike Oldfield, while carrying a higher degree of emotion, it could qualify as a great composition.
It's very pleasant. I've been trekking Bandcamp and suchlike looking for more. I like the fact that Robert Reed is carrying the torch for Mike Oldfield and continuing the genre. I wish I had discovered this when Robert first released it.
I detect a very distinct early Mike Oldfield influence...I like it.
That's what caught my attention when I first heard it on an internet radio station. I thought it might have been a 'lost' Mike Oldfield album.
Vaya.....tremenda banda....no los conocía. Gracias camarada......🤘✌️
Мне гораздо ближе простенькие и понятные "The Story of I" Patrick Moraz & "Fish out of Water" Chris Squire, - с участием Patrick Moraz & Bill Bruford.
