While most points do seem to have a grain of truth to them (some more than others), I feel most are quite exaggerated. Don't get me wrong, I love the my country and consider myself very lucky to be Dutch, but this video could use some moderation in my opinion. Yes, there are things the Netherlands does quite well, especially when compared to the rest of the world. But it isn't perfect, flawless or as exceptional as this video makes it out to be.

Ik weet niet zeker of de bewoners rond Schiphol zo blij zijn met 'one the world bussiests airport's '. Waarom moeten wij in godsnaam bloemen exporteren naar de rest van de wereld. Groeien ze alleen in Nederland? Waarom moeten we eerst alle spullen, naar Rotterdam halen. Die spullen moeten ook weer ergens naar toe....bijvoorbeeld over de weg. De gevolgen van al deze bedrijvigheid is dat Nederland wel erg druk is. En die drukte is niet altijd gezellige drukte.

Ik woon nu 14 jaar in Denemarken en kan zien dat Nederland ver voor loopt op Denemarken met heel veel dingen. Het woord innoveren en investeren kennen ze hier niet. Hier gaan ze verder zoals ze het al 200 jaar doen. Het is ongelooflijk dat zo een klein landje nr 2 staat als exporteur van landbouw producten.

Agriculture: scientists in the Netherlands are also developing vegetables than can grow in ground that are saline. At the moment there is a project in Bangladesh where farmers can use this soil again. It seems that potatoes from saline ground are tastier than those from normal ground. The reason for this is that it’s expected that with rising sea levels, the soil along the Dutch coast will become saline. The nice thing is that we are helping ourselves while helping 5000 farmers in Bangladesh.
