I'm a big fan of yours Graham, but must disagree over one thing; climate change activism & reporting ( whether in the Guardian or elsewhere) is science-led; it didn't emerge from any ideology or from any irrational thinking.

As a member of the FSU, thank you for this. What I have noticed about the 'Trans activists' is how puritanically anti-sexual practice they are. Back in the early 1970s, I was a student 'gay activist' (our "wear blue jeans if you're gay!" day caused panic among the students!), and we were fighting for al sexual 'ages-of-consent' to be equal. We were fighting for the right to have sex before we were twenty-one! No-one knows the 'sexual preference' iof a genuine 'trans-sexual' person: whilst the 'Trans activists' appear to wish to eliminate homosexuality in favour of 'Trans'. Perhaps this is why all thouse "loud-and-proud" banners have been reduced from 'Gay Pride', to merely 'Pride'. To remove the sex!

You've been clarifying things so neatly for simply loads of us for all these years; and nobody, but nobody, says it like you, Graham Linehan. Helen, in one edition of The Mess, told us about the Welsh proverb, "Dyfal donc a dyr y garreg" - tapping persistently breaks the stone ... sometimes you gave great blows with a shillelagh, but it was your dogged persistence and wrangling with fragments of this horrible ideology that has built faith amongst us all. I think we have been stunned at your unerring courage. So, settle back into your self, breathe the fresh air of a new environment, take rest, have fun with friends, carry quiet pride within you for all you have done, regardless of what the opposition were doing to you. We will miss you but we wish you every good thing, but mainly the peace of heart that you are due. Enjoy your new life over yonder but please, as someone else has already said "Haste ye back."
