Loll its atmosphere does coincide with its mass. It seems there’s as much atmosphere as kerbin except it extends out to like 160000 making aerocapture baddd. It’s fun to float around in tho :)

I do not think that will be my next thing lol however gravity hack is awesome if you want to customize your own challenge level or even simulate other bodies in the system without warping or going actually going there. @@Kerbalnautics91 just make sure that if you want to go to anywhere other than orbit that you use sigmadimensions mod for the gravity rather than the debug menu, cuz otherwise it breaks transfers

I just meant in regards to Laythe. It was an ssto build before sending it. SSTO is not synonymous with spaceplane however in my excitement in the build I lost track of this distinction. I have a true ssto in orbit around kerbin however only have around 6500 m/s which I'm sure is at least 2500 m/s short for a laythe round trip

I'm working on a spaceplane round trip currently :) I'm just not going to say SSTO anymore... it's very kerbalcentric

@@Kerbalnautics91 I made the same mistake as many others have, the launch to Kerbin orbit wasn't SSTO, but the return to Laythe orbit was. My bad and sorry for any fustration caused by my mistake. 1:55 - 2:09 'is' SSTO.

I appreciate it!! I started playing KSP 1 on ps4 in 2020 so this is actually the first time I've attempted it(I did tests in ksp 1 for the ascent lander and it still took me like 15 build variations lol)

Absolutely. I think 3 would've been fine for this science mission but they wanted ten.

This is before thermal came out. Everything except the bi-couplers were safe for re-entry that being said. yes it is less forgiving. inflatable heatshield is OP However.

@@Kerbalnautics91 im using parachute on nose because for some reason it has more heat tolerance than the heat shiled! Allows me to reach higher.speeds on the way to orbit

I Agree!! I had faith lol but then again I started on a ps4. I'm going to throw a 32 bit ram in my gaming laptop over the 16 and I've heard that will help alot. I see why thermal was paused... Most of the issues happen when couplings,fairings and heat shields are in play. I.E. ships falling out of the sky when docking or falling out of the sky upon separation. Always happens when those parts are used liberally

I agree. After starting on ps4 I can tell it is going to be phenomenal. People that didn't buy it early access honestly are only holding back its progress. The new engine hasn't even started to shine yet and all these little bugs can only be pinpointed through extensive playing.
