One day I realized I was building inside of a converted garage, which meant I had PLENTY of real-estate opportunities. (And too many bags on the floor.) Definitely an important episode, filled with dreams!

Again...when all was said and done, Lego never ceases to amaze me. When the gun turrets first popped up, I was brought back to that old movie I saw in 1989...when I admitted DC did actually have a few good super heros.

This continues the three part time laps of the UCS Batmobile, which ends with the canopy sliding open and closed. Lego never stops shocking me with their creativity and genius. From this build, I learned many locking-in-place techniques. Going to school was never more fun.

I subscribe to one of the sayings of Bricksie - "Build, destroy, repeat." When the idea for the Waterfall began WAY back in Legopolis 3 or 4, I never did like it. The preview included at the end of this video shows the waterfall (or promise of one) that I really like. Enjoy the fall!

I did not plan to create another modular building for Big Town (a suburb of Legopolis) but I REALLY did not like the Lego Main Street Set. Even though it was on clearance. In a pinch, I checked a Bricksie video, and found conversion instructions, which you will see here. This was about two weeks of work, and now one of my favorite sets of all time.

Some LEGO sets are destined to be awesome. I wonder if, when the fine folks in Denmark designed this set, if they knew it would be so awesome. As the sprawl spread from the main beach area towards the lighthouse, the creation became increasingly more-addictive. It was during one of these building sessions I realized it was 4:00 in the morning. Do I have a problem? Yes. Not enough LEGOS.

It is clear that other companies mimiced this set when creating their a-frame building blocks sets. While their little sets, shown in previous episodes, are still quite neat, this is clearly king. It is part of the LEGO Ideas series, and is amazing from top to bottom. Once the landscaping is complete on this MILS plate, it will be amazing.

Not every set I see that is a building, do I desire to have in Legopolis. Just like Funko Pops if they put out thirty Iron Man dolls, I don't need all thirty. This is when the city really began to take shape, when I started the beach scene, the edge of what I eventually took to the county fair. There is something so satisfying about ripping out plates and designing something new. When it turns out nice...few things are much better.

This is DEFINATELY one of the longest episodes of the Legopolis construction series, but only because it records a truly momentous moment in the history of Legopolis 5. One of my favorite builds of all time was the Hulkbuster Mark 44 that stands sentinel in my classroom. But one day I went to pull some lights off of him, and is ankles broke. He fell into my hands. This led me to a week long repair operation, that taught me one, simple thing quit worrying about the video, so I can follow the directions!

The illusion of translucent plastic appearing as water is made with lights and submerged greenery and fish. Not convinced? It still looks cool!
