Super CD Coville and Jumpin Jack Johnson side by side goin into turn 3 on Friday night at Albany Saratoga speedway. That was the Best. Thankful I got to see it several times.
Don't think I missed a Saturday night for many many years including all the fair events and special races till they paved it. Went to one race after they did, the stands were practically empty. Was my last time there sadly.
I was there in the #21 Pro Stock and remember the battles with Perotte. Kinda interested if I won that night? Where did this video come from? Kyle Rock
I was at that race. Everyone hated CD because he was so good. The man could drive. The most impressive thing I saw him do was get 3rd or 4th place with his small block in a big block modified feature.
You want to post shit like this with my name on it!? Go back and watch the whole thing the first incident where I hit you. Would’ve never been a thing but everyone checked up and there was no where to go. The second one your old ass eyes must not of seen chaos ahead and just kept trucking and smoked me… the third one I was below you and you try to enter the corner through me and then yard sale me the next corner and say Ooops… I get you raced mods for years and were considered one of the best. But iracing you are a WEAPON
Great video. Joe Kelly was my favorite driver back then. I still have a picture I took of him somewhere in my attic, that he signed "to a swell pal, Joe Kelly". I was probably 8-10 years old? I really can't remember. I can't even remember what track it was taken at, but it may have been Flemington or possibly East Windsor(?). And he really was a "Gentleman"!!
I can still smell the dirt and burning tires going hard into 4 there. I more than likely was there that night, having heard the news that 1990 was the last year on dirt. Year of the Tobias cars. True story about Tom Hager in the Council Harrell 35. It was not that night but one night in qualifying, he's in a wreck. Right front shock tower is completely torn off. The crew is scrambling to fix it before the green comes out. They grab a length of chain, wrap it around and slap a padlock on it. Hags starts at the end of the heat, comes back to either get second or third. Pulls into his pit, gets out and tells the guys "Take a couple links out of the chain, the car still has a push in it".
Nice run back to the front... I thought you would have had more damage than it showed. You had a good wall hit and the right front when the car came down in front of you.
Been out to Lancaster County 4 or 5 times seeing the Amish and their farms, going to the great restaursnts they have there, family style. Good and plenty is the name of one I think, if it is still operating. Our family always had a wonderful time going out there.
CD, if you're reading this, you're one of the best dirt track modified drivers all time. Saw you race Orange Cty., Flemington and I think Nazareth once. Best regards bro.
Flemington Speedway to me was the greatest dirt track in the Northeast, and the best drivers too.Went there 8 or 9 times, one time for the Eastern States Modified Championship.
My friends John, Gerry and I were big fans of CD Coville, we saw him race at Orange County Speedway, one time a little bull ring called Accord, and I think at Flemington in sime modified title race. A real good guy and fine driver, great meeting him in the pits once.
My best front is Pete coville CD son, I miss those days and I love the coville family miss playing golf with CD.
The good old days 👍👊🏁
I was driving in the lower class at Albany Saratoga speedway seems like yesterday
Man these were the good old days

That was the best car CD ever had unbeatable

That car was unbeatable until he got out in the first turn wall at Fonda!!
Super CD was the most exciting drivers of the 80 ‘s hands down
Hell yeah!
Literally the kind of thing that I did, but this was actually edited back then! Must’ve been a LOT more work!
Crash and Destroy CD

Miss that track! Saturday night racing there was great, tore it down to build stores, what a waste!

This is why he was not just CD but SUPER CD
Wtf is he mad at you for?
Yeah ... easily would have been a P4 if you didn't get run into. Track slicked up quick. ... 60 laps might be overkill here but hell of a drive.
քʀօʍօֆʍ 🤤
75 laps here looks a little tough.... I hope to finish. In practice I have climbed the wall or slid the RR up into it in the corners.
Why Does The Track Look A Little Thinner
Last lap pass was BS... He forced you out. Great racing though, fun to watch.
Was not a CD fan back in the day, but he sure could drive!
No other driver could have saved that
Good run. Almost got spun!!!!
Almost had it
𝐩яⓞ𝓂𝓞Ş𝐦 😒
What a battle 💪💪
Nice run. P2
That’s funny. At least you won
He got into you pretty good not much you could do
Small track but fun to watch
Rubbing is racing

Orange County has Eastern States. Flemington had the Flemington 200.

That’s awesome. 💪💪
Great job as always
Nice!
Thank you for posting this. Been looking for a video of my Uncle John Harrison (24) on UA-cam for the longest time
