Both products look genuinely good. I'd love to see draw-strings on the side pouches but I know elastic is the norm right now (and maybe lighter weight).

Does each section lock in the extended position? This is not demonstrated in the video.

I lost the straps first night. This quilt is expensive but worth it. I have the -10C and used it in -6C down in the snow this year as shown on my UA-cam channel. You need to have confidence in your kit in extreme conditions and that's why I had a thousand bucks hanging between two trees. $500 Helsdon Hammock and $500 Alton Top quilt. Cheap kit does work, most of the time, but the quality of this Alton top quilt is worth every cent. Buy once, cry once

I would test this tarp out but I already blew my tarp budget on the Aquaquest Defender Tarp and the Safari. Maybe next year.

Hi, I was trying to set up the tarp in the woods last night and everything was right until the prusik bit. I know how to tie a prusik but I don't know what I then do with the prusik to get the tarp to pull out and stay Thanks

I'm a banana bender now and living on the Sunshine Coast but I grew up on the Northern Beaches myself. I moved back there for work years later. One of my fondest memories was building forts on the islands in Narrabeen Lakes. Great place for hide and seek too. The Northern Beaches would have to be one of the most awesome places to grow up. Great interview. Now I want to go back and check out Mattsy's first videos. 😄

If you're going to design an elaborate carbon pole, why not just make trekking poles? Seems like a wasted potential here, as most campers would want two of these anyway?
