I actually really enjoyed mar Maria's sermons but this one has turned me against him. Animals should not be eaten. They have empathy, intelligence & love inside of them. Pigs don't wallow in filth. They enjoy a good mud bath. It helps with getting rid of parasites on the skin. They also have the intelligence of a dog & can be trained the same way as a dog. Also, pigs have split feet not hooves. Religion is aside, eating pork is a practical and good source of protein. They bread fast, easy to feed, easy to maintain, and taste OK. Millions of people eat them to survive. If whole word does not eat pork, the world will be infested with them. Also, lamb, beef which breed once per year, would be very very expensive (it is already very expensive) if everyone starts eating lamb and/or beef.
