weird i read the manual and it said that IS mode 1 would be more for still images and IS mode 2 is for subjects in motion and compensates for vertical and horizontal movement. otherwise great review! i got a refurbished one few days ago on amazon for about $350

Good review. Just a friendly suggestion: the video would be better overall if the music volume was lower. The music choice is nice, but the volume of it competes with your voice.

Hi, have you tried "PhotoSFXart" (do a Google search for it)? There you will find a smart free video showing how to shoot outstanding pictures. This helped Joe to create photos which have that wow-effect whenever you take a look at them. I hope it works for you as well...

The 75-300mm II and III canon lens is sharp at f8.0 zoomed out, and zoomed in at it's 300mm it's sharp at f11 , is that the same story with this lens? When focused at center point

Hi there, have you heard about "MagicSFXphoto" (just google it)? On their website you will find a useful free video explaining how to create impressive photographs. This made it easier for Joe to make photographs that leave you with that wow-effect while you take a look at them. Hopefully it helps you too...

Yes, it will fit the 60D. In fact, when I bought my 60D from Best Buy last year this lens was included in the package.

i have the same lens, when i record a video using my canon t2i i hear noise coming from the lens,when i turn off the image stabilizer the noise stops,is that normal?

You say that it wouldn't be a good lens for people who are going to be manual focusing more than video, so are you saying it's not good for video? Because in video mode on these HDSLR cameras, you are most always shooting manually, and focusing manually. Thoughts?
