Terrific sermon Josh! I sat at the edge of my seat listening to you. I have never before heard the story of Zacheus told in this way before. (Pierre told a story of Zacheus at Easter many years ago. Until now, that Zacheus story was as Pierre would say the awesomest) You gave me much to think about. Today I will find a friend with whom I haven't fellowshiped with in a while. I will try to see them with eyes of Christ. I will make effort to stop "othering" them. That I will do because of your sermon today. I still continue to wonder what happens after that. Hopefully it will be a blessing for both of us. I still am left wondering about the big picture of your correlation with then & now. Jesus was going to rest at Zacheus home. He was going to be a blessing to Zacheus in Zacheus' home. So i won't go to my friend's home. I'll call on the phone. (Sort of what Jesus may have done today. FaceTime with Zacheus. But as you said in your sermon, Jesus came to seek and save the lost. Today Zacheus is seeking to be governor over us all. He (Zacheus) wants to seek and save us all. Zacgeus of the bible was up in the sycamore tree to be able to see and hear Jesus. He came to Christ. Perhaps Jesus was bringing recognition to that. He doesn't drag us. Zacheus came to see Christ. Christ offered his hand to Zacheus. Today, Zacheus has NO desire to connect with Jesus. Today Zacheus isn't saying I will return all that I have stolen. Today Zacheus is showing absolutely no desire to be humble. I remain disappointed that my beloved TFHNY is still unwilling and or unable to deal more directly with this "thing" in our midst. It's negatively affecting relationships in our congregation. No one expects TFHNY to support a political candidate. However it would be courageous if TFHNY would finally deal with the elephant in the room. I commend you Josh for going this far today. I hope Pierre and the rest of the ministry staff will take up the reigns from where you left off today. We are all tripping over this gigantic elephant in the room. Its causing unseen hurt and injuries to many. With prayers love and much hope for us all. 🙏🏽☮️💟

There's no such thing as a woman Pastor. At least, not in the Bible. The Apostle Paul ( you know, the one who wrote half of the New Testament) didn't even let women speak in the church. But I guess churches are just making up their own rules these days.
