Ridden: BMW F900 GS
There is little doubt that adventure riders will be drawn to BMW's F900 GS not only for its looks, but also for its all-round usability. Starting at an attractive £11,995, the off-road biased GS has two rider modes altering power deliver to suit conditions, and you can enjoy long, smooth on-and off-road rides with consummate ease. It's pretty much a plus in all departments.

Honda NT1100 review

If you are looking for everything in one motorcycle, then perhaps you need to be checking out the Honda NT1100. With its sleek aerodynamics, adjustable screen and a 820mm seat height, plus oodles of comfort, oh, and a 20-litre fuel tank, it makes for a great tourer. I tested the NT1100 with the option of the six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission, and with three default riding modes, Urban, Rain an...

Well, if anyone was about to make a statement about naked bikes, it was Suzuki with the GSX-8S. With its 776cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC parallel-twin engine, the superlative naked street fighter boasts an agile chassis, a suite of rider aids, plus, i'm sure you’ll agree, some cracking looks and with an equally cracking price of just £8,199. As for the ride... boom... try one!
First Ride: UM Renegade Vegas 125cc

UM Motorcycles may well be a new name to many bikers, but they produce a range of 125ccs (and 300ccs), including dual-purpose, street and cruisers, such as the Renegade Vegas you see here. The Gonzo Biker took one for a test ride... not his normal mode of transport, a 125, but if it's got two wheels, he's on it...

Riding the Bardney-Bucknall Bends
Переглядів 88Рік тому
Rural Lincolnshire has a lot going for it in terms of quiet country roads, rolling hills, and plenty of twisties... such as the short run from Bardney to Bucknall, seven miles east of Lincoln. Great in either direction, as it's surrounded by farmland, don't get caught out by muddy sections, dry or wet!

Ducati XDiavel S, ride it like a sportsbike!...
Good vid, stupid music. It does not suit this wonderful machine.
Fair comment John, I will probably dive in and alter it as someone else also commented along those lines although it was more to the point!
Great angles on a great looking bike, thank you. I think the shotgun is the best looking in the range… that’s blackout.
Hi thanks for that, much appreciated. It is a cracking bike!
What with the CRAP music
name of the song?
The bike looks awesome
Now that’s one for the future 😉
Lovely vid, the guitar music was ace -don’t know the band? Who was it?
HI John thanks for your comments. the music is... Fairy Snail Tale - Gary the Canary
Visited St. Louis Honda Powersports here in St. Louis only to be told this motorbike is not sold in the states, don’t know the rationale behind that decision
Nice review and IMO thats the best colour scheme and even then, it's not great. With some of the other schemes it's like they are trying to make the bike look as bad as possible.
Lol, thanks for that. Yes, I wasn't sure about the colour choices, the Guerrilla 450 looks interesting colour-scheme wise.
That's failure bike um commando 300cc
So Gay Helmet. So Fucking Gay 😂
That’s a nice set up Marcus, and good colour choice!
I have this model but in Pearl Glare White with Voyager Pack. Lovely Piece of engineering.
Just a clarification, It's a Chopper Club show. We don't hold rallies.
Mate, you really have to work on your camera angles. We want to see the cockpit of the bike not endless scenes of hedgerows and suburban housing.
Thanks for that. I’ll pay more attention in future!
From what I could see, you left the bike in normal drive "D" mode. Why on earth did you do that? No NT DCT owner uses that mode, it's dreadful. It changes up gears as soon as possible, and before you know it your in 6th gear doing 30mph, chugging and labouring the engine and drive train. The bike needs to be in one of the "S" (Sports) modes to do it justice, it hangs on to gears longer and changes down quicker. Pretty much every review of the bike highlighted this issue, and as far as I can tell no owner ever uses the standard drive mode, but opts to use the "S" modes. Oh, and please, please please, no more speeding in built up areas. At the very least it makes us riders look bad when you post your evidence online, and worse still when you kill both yourself and some kid who steps out in front of you.
Fair comment. My point is that whilst I appreciate Automatic D mode is ideal for city riding, and offers the best fuel economy, I wanted to check it out over a longer, steady, relaxed, cross-country ride, and it suited just fine. However, at any time - like most riders once they get used to the DCT system - one could switch to Automatic S mode as it offers a sportier ride, allowing the ECU to let the engine rev higher before shifting up, and it also shifts down sooner when decelerating for extra engine braking. In either D or S mode, you still have the opportunity of manual intervention.
@@TheGonzoBiker-hg8yq Many thanks for taking the time to respond. I would like to add, for the record that I have owned a DCT NT since it was launched into the UK a couple of years back, so I am a little biased. I still stand by my comments that you should have demonstrated the full potential of the auto and all the modes available. As I stated before it's a mode that pretty much no one uses, and as far as I can see, was only added to help make the bike Euro 5 compliant. Ask this question on the NT forum or the social media pages, and you'll get the same response, S mode all the way! Another issue that should be noted during the running in period, is that the "D" mode does put the engine it too high a gear and you just end up lugging the engine. Not good for running in. Come and have a look at the forum when you have time to spare www.nt1100forum.com/ another UA-camr, theloftybiker is a member, you'll be most welcome, especially if you decide to buy one.
I truly want to like this bike, and on paper it's great. BUT I find it to be ugly as sin and just can't get myself into it
No, not the prettiest for sure
I found it a liitle big,for my 5.10.which you like more this or transalp, for on road use more.
I got to ride a Transalp today for a little way. It is certainly capable of being a good road bike but hands down the Vstrom is nicer on the road. Less vibration, better seat, more usuable power. The Transalp has less heat.
DON’T BUY RUROC - Pure garbage from a brand that only make expensive helmets that they come apart after a month of use max. I got two Ruroc 4.0 limited edition and one the rubbers come apart all over the bottom part of the helmet and the other the rubber broke around the visor plus one of the visors of the two helmets don’t close anymore. Think twice before buying this… and ruroc if you want to do your games feel free so I share the photos is this :)

Fab bike and 125s are so cheap to run. Did you get a chance to notice fuel consumption? It is a substantial weight for a 125.
HI, unfortunately I didn't get the chance to check that, but I am sure UM Motorcycles would offer you an idea. As a 125, no doubt it will be excellent.
@Wanderbike wow! That sounds great.
@Wanderbike still do your DAS within 2 years so you don't have to keep doing the CBT. 125cc are cheaper to run, tax and insure so it's a no brainer really. Enjoy the bike.😊
I’m thinking of purchasing this as my first bike, i think it might be the right choice :)
HI, yes definitely worth a test ride
Hi, it is certainly a good choice for a first bike if you want something in the cruiser style, and inexpensive, too!
@@TheGonzoBiker-hg8yqJust purchased it second hand, the last owner dropped it on its side so I’m restoring it with all original parts at the moment and going to have it taken for a full check before I ride it :)
Received some comments about the music included with the video. Sometimes we try to be different but it doesn't always work. Apologies if you don't like it...more engine noise next time...
Nice one. Liked and subscribed.
Thanks for that it was good to see what went on behind me in the ride. It looked like a nice ride and a nice late summer day.
Amazing video. Was a good ride.
